Mullet
Very risky appointment and the words from the Chairman suggest that he didn't have to prove much (unlike LJ had to do with the interview process): “However, when he contacted me to declare an interest in the position, he was an applicant that we simply couldn’t ignore. What he has achieved as a player, coupled with the leadership that he has shown throughout his career, make him the ideal candidate for a managerial role and he made it clear that he wanted that role to be with his hometown club." What is a very smart move is Greg Abbott as assistant manager. I wish we had somebody with League 1 credentials aiding LJ. My only worry would be somebody who had a job in the same league so recently might end up assuming leadership over the actual manager they're supposed to be assisting. Stevie_J
I like Derry. Good experience as a player and a proper leader on the pitch. His appointment is no less risky than Johnson's. Would have liked to see him in a Latics shirt.
