NewBlue Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37962214 Not entirely accurate given the gimmicks we've offered recently. What strikers me most is the price of food and drink going way up compared to inflation, and, most of all, how an average away ticket in the Premier League is just a fiver more than for League 1, and CHEAPER than the Championship. That is scandalous.

That is scandalous. I don't think that scandalous is the right word.
TheBigDog Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 I don't think that scandalous is the right word. Simple really - The Premier League receives so much in broadcast revenue that it can afford to drop ticket prices for away fans in particular. Scandalous? No just clever marketing.

Scandalous? No just clever marketing. Very true. I read a stat this morning that, with the new TV deal, Premier League clubs could afford to give free admission to every game and still have higher revenue than they had under the last TV deal.
NewBlue Posted November 17, 2016 Author Posted November 17, 2016 What's scandalous is that they're allowed to accumulate this wealth, causing the shocking disparities it has done
