Rocky_Latic
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/6983836.stm North west section first-round winners: Chester, Morecambe, Wrexham/Macclesfield North west section teams with first-round byes: Bury, Carlisle, Port Vale, Rochdale, Stockport North east section first-round winners: Doncaster, Hartlepool, Oldham*, Rotherham North east section teams with first-round byes: Darlington, Grimsby, L**ds, Lincoln *Oldham were in the north west section for the first round, but have been moved to the north east regional group for round two ------- absolute rubbish. surely it'd of made sense to stick Carlisle in there. Rather than us who would have the good possibility of facing a number of teams less than 20 minutes away.

TwentySixBlack
They've clearly classed us in the "Yorkshire" segment of the draw, the swines.
RoytonBlueLad
They've clearly classed us in the "Yorkshire" segment of the draw, the swines. Total crackers. We're more accessible to teams in the North West of the draw than the East and vice versa. I thought they wanted to make this thing a success (stop laughing) but travelling for some Tin Pot game to Grimsby on a Tuesday isn't that appealling really or as has been pointed out so many times financially viable either. You don't make any cash till the final so why not lose some more on the way eh? Same for Carlisle who could be faced with a trip to Port Vale etc. Excellent planning, bravo. The likes of Rochdale / Stockport probably think the same - would have been hoping for a good away following....

But then expect Soccer Am to f**k the draw up as normal.

Diego_Sideburns
odds on we draw leeds Although it can take part in the FA Cup, dirty Leeds United is ineligible to take part in the Paint Pot competition, because its real name is the Associate Members' Cup - there is now no distinction between Full and Associate Members. Now Leeds has lost its Full Member status it can't take part in the Full Members' Cup. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Associate_Members_Cup I've sent an email to the FA pointing out this before the draw takes place tomorrow. These Leeds fans who think the world is against them (and choose to ignore the part where Bates tried to cancel 99% of the debt and, effectivly, cheat the rest of us) would probably lose it altogether. They still think they'll get the 15 points back. Edited September 7, 2007 by TwentySixBlack

I've sent it to the FA media centre - they'll be working, even if the rest are swanning off to Wembley, before meeting to sack Steve McClaren after another dire performance.
