I'd be up for it next year. I'm in two 10 team auto-draft leagues started in week 4 (I didn't fancy sitting doing the draft for 3 hours), it's my first season in the proper NFL leagues - it is a really good format. 12-16 team leagues rely on some pretty decent roster depth knowledge.

Other news, who'd have thought there would be two five-and-oh teams in NFC North and neither of them are Chi Town?

Drafts in a 12 team league only end up taking an hour. Most people pick much quicker than their allotted time, so the whole thing is over and done with fairly quickly.

I'm 4-1 this season, having gone 4-8 last year. Last year I scored the third most points in the league... but every week my opponent seemed to have a good week and I kept losing!!

Got Drew Brees and Matt Forte. They get me 20 points each nearly every week.

Read this the other day, it doesn't surprise me - but it's worth a read: American Football: Parties, payments and Prostitutes: lurid scandal of US college football - The Independent http://ind.pn/nSJylw

Just read the article - a very good read. College (American) Football is huge here in Washington state. A lot of people prefer it over NFL (as mentioned in the article). When they play their local derby UW v. Washington State University (WSU) a lot of people wear there colours to work on the Friday before the match. I've been to a couple of games at the University of Washington (UW) with attendances of over 70,000 in their own stadium. When the Seattle Seahawks were having a new stadium built they used the UW stadium as a temporary home. The colleges have their own basketball, baseball and football teams but none of those college sports are as popular as American football.

I see you going to 10-0

Kiss. Of. Death.

Weird pushing and shoving at the end by the coaches. Speaking of coaches, Sean Payton got clipped by Jimmy Graham on the sidelines: it looked like it rocked them a bit - still, a poor divisional performance by the Saints.

This was pretty neat: http://www.nfl.com/videos/auto/09000d5d8232d7c1/WK-6-Can-t-Miss-Play-Fake-field-goal-TD

NCAA time.

This is a screen grab of LSU at Alabama last week just before the kick-off ...

... to be fair there's no pro football in Alabama, but that's still a pretty impressive turn out for a top college game.

But it was one of the few occasions when first plays second in the regular season (and in my view - barring anything calamitous - the decider for the whole competition). Just over 100k, well a full house, really.

Will Penn State v Nebraska pull more in this weekend? Could be JoPa's last game what with the curent, ahem, problems at the place. I don't think anyone could have anticipated such a :censored: way to go out.

LSU are an aggressive unit - I like LSU a lot, however going off what's being said with regards to the BCS rankings, LSU could be a weaker #1 than Alabama were at #2. Boise are in top form and have arguably the best QB in the game right now, but they have slim chance of getting to the Championship game above Oklahoma or Stanford. I dunno, the rankings can throw up some mad stuff. It was a great game anyway - I hope LSU get a rematch with The Tide for the BCS bowl.

Penn State, what a mess - protecting the brand and not the kids? Paterno and others there didn't do either. I've read that rioting broke out after he was fired...

Penn State to win over Nebraska, by the way.

I'd be surprised if Penn St didn't fall to pieces now, they were pretty much up there because of Paterno at the moment anyway. But, it did have to be done and pretty quickly, be him guilty or innocent.

I reckon Oklahoma State will get done by Oklahoma, which should knock them down a level, and Alabama are above Stanford at the moment anyway in the rankings.

There are certain divisions in this that are better than others. Hence, I reckon Boise would get stuffed by LSU/Bama if they played. As would Stanford, although the win at USC was bloody good viewing. I just think that when a team has a 34-1 record over the last 35 games and can't get ranked in the top two, there's something a bit more wrong than 'mad stuff'.

NB. I think Luck at Stanford is better than Moore, but I guess you only really know when they get onto a level(er) playing field.

...with the first pick in the 2012 NFL Draft - the Indianapolis Colts select Kellen Moore; Quarterback; Boise State....

If that don't happen I'll eat my Superdome nacho cheese hat.

Although, to be fair, Luck has said he wants to complete his degree at Stanford and has another year after this one left.

Iowa St just beat #2 OSU to throw those rankings into chaos; not everybody wants it, the press will see it as cutting out a large part of America - but a SEC national title game is looking more and more likely. Go LSU!

#2, 4, 5, and 7 all lost. SEC championship game is now probable: LSU should beat Arkansas and Alabama will win over Auburn in the SEC next week.

Matt, how do you 'keep up' with the college game?

I follow LSU (it's a Louisiana thing) and have a soft spot for Texas Tech due to Michael Crabtree (now at the Niners Round 1 Pick 10); they were exciting to watch a few seasons ago. So because of LSU I track the SEC only, it's a beast of a conference with Auburn, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs to name but a few - plus it'll have Missouri and Texas A&M next season too (I don't really look at the other conferences like Big East, Big 10, Big 12 or whathaveyou).

I look up the BCS rankings every week and see if there are any big match-ups outside of the SEC.

...and if that doesn't work for you it is on ESPN, channel 430 (sometimes gets on 417 too). They'll have pretty much all the bowl action going over Christmas/January.

NB. USC @ Oregon had pretty much everything this week; turnovers, a complete change in momentum half way through and a messed up field goal to lose the game at the end.

Yeah, OldhamSheridan is right of course - there's a lot of football on ESPN America, however I use this list at LSU to see who's on where and on what:

....I'm sure you are resourceful enough to *cough* acquire a good reception on those channels.

Unneccesary roughness? Legal play, it's hard but legal :censored: me. I don't know why receivers don't jump more often to make a catch because it seems like its a given free first down and tagged on yards.

Didn't watch the game last night, just caught the result this morning.

49 points - that is pretty embarrassing.

On the plus side, Drew Brees is my fantasy QB. Kasay is my fantasy kicker. And Victor Cruz, despite being on the wrong end of a beating, got me 27 points as one of my WR's, so I got a load of points last night.

I'm 3-6 in my first season, struggled with WR's - been flitting around but settled well with Cruz though in #1 slot. I'll definitely give the fantasy draft some more thought next season.
