BP1960
Looks a real player does Jones. A very good athlete, with a cracking engine. Quick feet, a very assured touch, decent vision & good passing range, good set piece delivery and now a goal to go with that. However, Liam Kelly should also not be missed out in this either. Unsung is our captain. He started poorly, but as his game time has increased; so too have the standard of his performances. He does so much work off the ball, and when he does have it, he ticks us over nicely. He reads play really well and is a very unselfish player. He's an 'under the radar' type; as alot of his work isn't flair or showey, but he's allowing Mike Jones to fully use his talents. Its a very impressive partnership and long may it continue. Agreed and Kelly knows he will have to play well to keep out the impressive Tidser.
Simoncorneyisgod
Am I right in thinking Jones was LJ's 1st pre season signing?
chris_ktf
He been our most consistent player all season. It's rare at our level to get a player as complete as him. Tackles, great energy, great touch, vision, has got a shot on him. He's class.
Buckshawlatic
Considering that Crawley have been at our level a couple of years now I can't believe that when we signed him I still had a "who"? mentality... Great signing
Wozzer
Don't think he lost the ball today until about the 65th minute then did it about 3 times in 5 minutes only to bounce back with the winner. He was top class and is rapidly becoming my favourite player in many years.
De_La_Vega
As has been rightly pointed out here, he's playing well but is benefiting heavily through the balance of the midfield being right. Some good, scruffy footballers in there who can win the melee, but they all have a bit of ability too. Philiskirk becomes hugely important in this team though, for his ability to bring midfield runners into play. I was saying on Tuesday that I don't think it's a coincidence that Dayton's best games come when Philiskirk is playing well. Good balance with some good options. Nice to see. 4froale
Been a fan since day one, he's just a very clever and neat player.
b0ndl1ne
Good point about Philliskirk bringing the best out in Dayton. Still a long way to go in the season and everyone will need to play their part
