  1. Enjoyed it, several good performances. Nice not to be shitting yourself after scoring.
  2. Too sophisticated for me, 60 years since I did binary on Stanley Road but Stones did look a lively player, sad to lose him. PS That Taylor looked a player for them.
  3. We could always follow Dorking the management always give a sympathetic ear to offers of advice and disappointed fans: Good ole Marc - apologies if this has been posted before.
  4. Yep, though I could never get the Sat games although I have a VPN that puts me in the Southern States of America. However I am not getting my usual knock back so it looks like things could be ok.
  5. I agree, the comments were trivial, it's more about the loss of trust. The changing rooms are places where all sorts of stuff goes on (as you say, we have all worked) and that is where it should stay. Once you have to worry that some tosser might stitch you up in public, the whole team and club suffers. Then we have the usual herberts at the game, trying to prove how offended they are and how much they love the club; that's a by product of this social media crap. .
  6. "And what gives with this new tactic of goalkeeper and centre backs playing russian roulette from dead ball situations, pissing about between themselves then wacking it upfield, which the keeper could have done himself in the first place." 100milesaway Hope that was a one off, we are not that good yet. My blood pressure would not stand it every week.
  7. Stones, Injury played up. Better off kicking over the middle of the park to Norwood and Fondop. Alas.
  8. Radio Tees reckons the buggers are being kept on for moaning about coming in on Christmas Day. Excellent.
  9. I give you Alan Brazil, he's not lugubrious, you could have a night out to remember with big Al. Mind you, you wouldn't remember it like. .
  10. Yes, those interviews go on far too long - asking the same question in 10 different ways. Difficult for anybody to come across like a court jester. What our leader possibly wants to say: "We need some better players but have nowt to spend till the summer" " I'd love to give some of this lot the Irishman's farewell as they go out the door but it's them or nothing right now" "It's no good trying to build a team with a pile of loan players who will be here today and gone tomorrow" "We have some pikers in key positions but I will do my best to zhuzh them up till the end of the season and get rid" I's pay to see him say what he thinks but you can't, I'm sure he has to bite his tongue .
  11. 1969 After forcing a draw, away in the FA cup, we went out at home to South Shields (North East Bookmakers and Turd Shunting League), losing 1 - 2 at home. Bloody cold awful December night, players off the ball were blowing into their hands and looking towards the tunnel. Me and my mate were the only two people in the Rochdale Road end..... .......but...Happy Days four matches later Jimmy Frizz took over. .
  12. Phil Parkinson after the match seems very fair: https://youtu.be/AXCmsSNsFmw .
  13. Yes, listening to the commentary I thought we were getting murdered in the worst performance of the season? Some of Steve Eyre's comments were so harsh I thought he was an Oldham fan
  14. "Good corner from Ben Tollitt he has been highly involved in this game since he came on."
  15. Commentary here if it has not already been mentioned: https://www.radioalty.co.uk/listen.html
  16. Yes, and no doubt the manager might ask for available players to be scouted for specific positions, sound them out negotiate with agents on fees, wages etc. I think some people are making out that ST had the role of Head of Football or Deputy Manager. Any road up... Thompson's record, so far, is bested by very few since the war, probably the Great War. I reckon that this season may be fallow anyway so little lost if ST gets his chance. By late spring we will know which way the wind is blowing. .
  17. Yup, I recall the well experienced Jack Rowley coming back " I have unfinished business at Oldham" . Lost his first 5 games, gone in short order.
  18. I like Sutton, can you say that? Think he will make a good career but it's asking too much for a lad to play with full confidence and prop up a wobbly team of senior staff. Does anyone know what's happened to Rooney?
  19. Is there a BBC local radio commentary? I can never find the things.
