I thought he was good...............???
Especially once Kelly went off after which everything seemed to go through him..
I thought he was one of our best players today. I'm sure some of the goons in here watch games with their eyes closed.

13,000 home fans, that's magnificent for this league isn't it, we wouldn't bring in that many in consistently in the Premiership!
It is magnificent, but it also has to be said they they don't have THE most successful Premier League team, and the richest Premier League team both within 10 or 12 miles of their ground either.

I forgot my favourite bit, as the game was winding down Henderson broke down the left but was offside, Gerrard was running with him started pointing to the lino and then got right in Henderson's face explaining the offside rule, telling him he needs to be in front of the defence when the ball is played. Henderson didn't look happy! Two minutes later, same thing, close offside decision with Henderson with Gerrard in his wake, Gerrard again starts pointing to the lino and explaining offside, Henderson didn't like that one bit and pushed Gerrard away.
Been a while since we've had an experienced niggly player at the back, good work from Holden and Corney bringing Gerrard in.
This Tony. An absolute 'orrible bastard to play against. A la Gregan type. Every good team needs one of two of these.

Hahaha Keith Hill is scruffy f*cking, bin-man looking, bitter c*nt!!

Why??!
Perhaps some people thought we were getting Guardiola in this afternoon.......

I :censored:ing give up
Mate, some people still think the sun shines out of his little weasel arse. They think we should be happy for him that he left us in the :censored: and then showed no class whatsoever celebrating their goals like he'd won the world cup!!
I can only assume the people who think like this are the same sort who get a kick out of watching other blokes bang the arse out of their wives or something!

Great clean sheet and fantastic to have Lockwood back to help organise but at risk of ruining the love in....
The short highlights on YouTube - both of Vales chances could have been dealt with better.
First one Lockwood seems to get caught under the ball. A better finishes and its a goal.
Second Lockwood is clearly outjumped. Cleared off the line.
I'm not saying he didn't play well and I'm not saying he didn't make a big difference but James Wilson was being told to :censored: off to Barnsley for the same things, granted over an extended period.
Glad to have another option though and he helps his own team mates and makes us more solid as a unit, all the better.
My gut reaction to the second chance was that their lad was climbing all over Lockwood. Having seen it s couple more times I'm even more convinced.

Thank god that's over. Very scrappy win which we probably didn't deserve in all honesty. Thought vale looked very good going forward and caused us problems all night and they had the chances to show for it. Keane although making some good saves wasn't comanding enough for me and it felt as though vale were able to cross the ball into the 6 yard box time and time again without any challenge from the Keeper who was rooted to his line. However we took the points and worked hard and special mention to Connor brown who was my MOM. Philliskirk ineffective again for large periods of the game and was only noticeable when moved to the right wing mid way through the second half. Wilkinson was a real menace when he came on and should have done better with his chance at the end. Overall a nice 3 points when we probably didn't deserve them
This makes the win all the more satisfying in my eyes.
I bet there's a few Swindon fans would give their right bollock for a couple of wins like that at the minute.

I'd personally go for somebody new, but without question Dowie and Shez both have 'unfinished business' at BP.

Credit to Grayson he can manage.
Aye, it must be well hard with an attacking line up of Gallacher, Garner, Beckford, Ebanks-Blake and Davies.............

I'd love us to live in a world where a manager of a football club didn't have to be a political animal (or :censored:, whatever you want to call it) but, unfortunately, we don't....
Him being our :censored: got us as high in the league as we've been in years....
Agreed. He's still dropped us like hot :censored: though.
-
Yeah of course, and at the time that's what they did. I still thought he was a little :censored:house for not having the courage to say he supported the board in their decision to try to sign him, particularly a he was driving the deal from what I was told. But, shouldn't a good owner/board be willing to protect their manager (or allow him to insulate himself) in such a situation?
Greater good and all that....
By not doing so he made himself look weak by looking like he was having a player forced on him.
In truth he's a lying little weasel, and he repayed the club for taking the flak by :censored:ing off at the first opportunity.
It's the same as all this balls about it "not being able to take the club any further and it being the right time for him to go". We're 2 points outside the playoffs, heading for our best placed finish for years. Would his stock really have gone down that much by May?!
Sorry mate, he's a lying snake who made mugs of all of us.

Believe me or don't believe me and I won't reveal my source due to their job but I have it on good authority that LJ was not only supportive of signing Ched Evans but was a key driver of it - and for its worth I can't stand Barry Owen so no I'm not looking out for him. Johnson's gone Latics haven't let's look to Saturday
This. This is exactly the reason I posted what I did. And I was told this during the week whilst it was all going on. I've never brought it up previously because I thought it was better to let sleeping dogs lie, and because I was told in confidence, but when Johnson let the board take all that :censored:e, he went right down in my estimation!
-
This! 100%!"It's up to the board" - How you know Lee Johnson wants something to happen.....
It was obvious Johnson wanted to sign Evans. Yet when the massive :censored:storm broke and we even had Red Ed and that Tory cock having their say (on a football signing FFS!) LJ :censored: out, and turned all the responsibility (and blame) back onthe board. The board cracked under incredible pressure and pulled out.
Is hardly surprising their relationship has deteriorated.
That fact that Johnson effectively denied any responsibility for that whole sorry episode tells me all I need to know about him.
-
So Johnson really put a lot of effort into getting the job...not dragged to the altar was he!
Yes, presumably when he should have been concentrating on us not getting beaten by Colchester and :censored:ing Orient!!
As for those wishing him good luck?! Ha!
I hope his dick drops off!
-
No idea.
As ever, I'll back whoever the board see fit to appoint 100%.......
Unless it's..............
I'm just beginning to feel ground down by the ever repeating cycle. A new manager every 2 or 3 years and consequently a new squad every 2 years. Sell your best player each window and be thankful you even have a club.
It is literally a lifetime since those nights of walking up Garforth Street, all literally feeling sick with the excitement of what was happening out our club........
-
I'm told (rightly or wrongly) this will certainly be the case with some of them and for this reason it could give us a lift, short term at least.....
What do we do then? Try and appoint somebody quickly? Give it to Locky and Holden for the rest of the season? Of get Muzza back?
-
He's right up there with the worst keepers I've ever seen play for us.
I'm sorry, but that is utter bollocks.
-
I think he's come in for a lot of unwarranted criticism if late. I don't think he did a whole lot wrong TBH.
Good luck to him!
-
Forte likeliest departure agrees Mike Keegan
Awesome. Let's sell our top scorer. Again.
-
Merci Senor.Modifiez l'enregistrement putain
Having read this thread I'm reminded of why, after 2000 odd posts and 8 years membership (and JK prev) that I barely bother with this board anymore.
-
Decent performance and yet another failure.
Change the :censored:ing record.
