Tell you what. The Norwood hates us lads would have a Def-Con 4 level meltdown about Graeme Sharp when he was here as a player. Fuck me, he was one insufferable, miserable bastard off the pitch. Great pro like, but an stone-cold wanker.

    Aloof and up himself.

But I do remember being impressed with how smartly he was turned out when I was mascot in the PL.

Halifax home to Chesterfield this Wednesday 😳
I hope that MM and GB go along too for a spying mission…

Have Halifax changed much since October 2022?

Play Dallas + 10 others and they will struggle. Jamie Stott had the turning ability of an ocean liner when he played for us 7 years ago. That won't have improved in that time. Micky Mellon (plus Brabin and Murray) will have done his research already.

How many tickets have we sold? Got mine earlier and the lad said it’s not been that busy

Speaking of which given the issues under the previous regime around people unable to enter when the game is all ticket. Do people think the message about no potd sales has got sufficiently round vulnerable groups?

I'm driving down for this one, also leaving at 8 bells.

And yes, we had better turn up. I don't want to see their midfield swarming straight through the acres in front of them. Whilst all the while waving at our midfield as they go, and yelling ' see ya suckers '.

It's time our lot looked, and played like they actually want to put a show on for the home fans. And for a change give us something to shout about. Over to you Latics.

I’m driving up for this one, leaving at 8:00am - we had better turn up and play some football 👍

    Lightweights.

Some of us have already driven up for this one 😉

If Chesterfield beat us on Saturday and Barnet don’t win, then the Spireites will become National League Champions at BP - that simply must NOT happen 😮

No they don't due to the ko times they become Champions at Woking. Their last game before being crowned might be at BP but they can't win the title at BP.

Aldershot, in all my 70 years of watching football at all levels I've never seen so much hoofball, even in pub leagues.

Went to both. Fylde the worst...

Fully agree with @Lee Sinnott surprised anyone else would say otherwise. You could see why Aldershot are in the playoffs but at Fylde you could also see why they were struggling.

As an aside given that I know what @BP1960 looks like as I sit next to him at home games (when I go) and I didn't see him at Aldershot and I think he said at the Alty home game he didn't go to Fylde...

Work with a Hull fan he's really liked and they still think he'll do well. Apparently they made some really good signings in his position. No idea about Bristol Rovers.

hull picked him. loved him. buzzed over him. then signed loadsa established players to play instead.

    like you do 🙄

Jaden Philogene being the prime example.

He's scored another very good goal this season as well. Signed in late August.

It isn't. It is about the principle of having to pay to hear what is being discussed with the CEO.

What a shareholder has to say with a CEO.

There's nothing stopping Darren from updating the fans via other means if he chooses. Two simple and relatively cheap options:

    1.) Join the Foundation it's £12/year

2.) Ask the club for a regular update from Darren in the programme. A monthly update would cost more than £12 in buying the programmes.

You know what? You’re all actually right! I have probably got a bit carried away with the last few years but on the other hand I’m fascinated by the business and human side of football and think the club could do a lot more to push away games…which are the only games I go to for the most part!

Why, we don't make any money from it? Although I think if the coach is full we might a small profit there.

We've sold the tickets for 4 away games this season and I think the max will be only be at most 7 depending on making the playoffs and who we get.

We didn't do a good job with one of those games. Heck for some of the away games we didn't sell tickets for the opposition sold a lot of tickets before we had announced them being available.

Always a 'must not let the opposition get three points'. Have to set uo for a win though.

This for me. We need to finish above 2 of the teams from 2nd to 9th in the table to get into the playoffs. Not losing our remaining games in that mini-league, all away, gives us a better chance of doing that. I think we'd be better off getting 3 draws than 1 win and 2 loses in the 3 games.

They could do it the previous game, depends on their results and those of Bromley and Barnet. It's still possible.

They need 96 points (11 more) to confirm it from here but that's assuming Barnet or Bromley win all their games so it's quite possible they could seal the deal on the 16th at our place yes certainly if we beat Bromley tomorrow.

Think the early kick-off and Bromley and Barnet not playing in the league on Saturday may scupper them winning it at ISZ. We might be their last game before being crowned champions but they may have to wait until after Bromley and Barnet play before it's confirmed.

Just reinforces for me that the toxic atmosphere during the Lemsagam era with 11 managers in 4 years was in no way the right environment in which any of the the club’s youngsters could possibly progress!

Hopefully, academy players like Moore, Atherton & Forshaw will prosper under a settled coaching staff and proper ownership!

Luamba has worked hard for this. Extra private sessions outside of both clubs and found a club who was clearly willing to give him a chance. Under Unsworth he looked lost playing up top and his confidence quickly disappeared after some early promise.

It seems weird saying something positive about the Ringley brothers and DU.

But the thing that stopped Luamba from progressing at us wasn't anything to do with the owners, culture or manager. It was his physiology.

He was forever getting injured and he was more prone to the sort of injuries he got, hamstring / calf, due to his physiology. We wanted to sign him on but he was unwilling to sign but that means we should get compensation and Salford giving him a new contract now may be related.
