How anyone can justify 300 is beyond me... I paid 250 last year... 20 quid per goal scored so far.. My round trip is only 50 miles but the appeal gets less and less. I could understand the offer last year because we were riding a wave of shezurrection but we're not now. They needed a huge incentive this year but for me they've failed. The product is crap, the pitch is crap so ill do away games where at least there will be a proper pitch.

A right back playing left back would have sufficed....a GK playing left back would still have been an improvement.

I agree maybe a sign up. Not once did I say they'd done enough I was asking what ideas people had. You're all just little nibblers though and hate the thought someone is defending the club

So why keep defending when you agree they haven't done enough...

There's a million and one things they could or couldn't have done. So go on, what exactly should they have done.

Should they or should they not have done something? Can you answer that one - and no need for your usual waffle....simple yes or no will suffice?

The choice was made to name the stand by the club - and the club should do something to reflect that - regardless of what this is - I'm not really bothered - but they should at least have made a token effort. We don't need to come up with ideas....thats up to the club (with our help if they ask). If they had none - they shouldn't have done it.

When you consider how many we have actually had, it's not a high percentage.

 

EDIT Since the 2001/2 Season one website reckons we have had 502 squad players.

Lot of players retire/deteriorate over 15 years... Plenty of others have played up there in the time... Clint hill, fitz hall, marc tierney to name a small number

Couldn't disagree more. I know he sometimes isn't up for the battle needed, but his touch is (generally) pretty good. He put some fine work in for Banks' goal on Tuesday. I really think Sheridan can get a tune out of him...

He'll get a tune but it will be out of key and the timing will be all wrong....the only person to get a decent tune out of lee erwin is lee erwin. He needs to take a look at himself and decide what he wants to be... His lack of passion can only be resolved by himself

His touch is one of his strongest attributes, just because in your eyes he had a bad 45minutes does not mean he can't control a football.

He's been poor the majority of the season. He's had the misfortune of playing in a relatively poor side which doesn't create much and / or been thrown up front on his own which obviously hasn't helped him. Said this on another post somewhere though - i'm not convinced in a good side he would get too many. He doesn't know what kind of striker he is. He doesn't gamble and get in the box, he's certainly not a target man, he's not brilliant with his back to goal and he certainly doesn't run the line and try and break defenses with any pace. I'm sure he has something about him (hence his making of a career) but personally, I don't think he'll play regularly any higher than he is now unless he becomes a particular type of player.

Of the two, i'd rather have kept McKay - he had a style, he ran the line, he made space, he got in the box - OK his finishing let him down on occasion but he would have been a good fit for playing with Holloway or NGoo
