I watched him in the play off final and thought, this lads rubbish, he got us out of a pickle once ot twice though

I would suggest this is as good a game as any for season ticket holders to bring a friend for a fiver. Not a friend who whould have come anyway, but an occasional / new supporter who originally had no intention of watching Latics on Saturday.
According to their o/s, they have sold over 2-800 of their initial 3-000 allocation, 1-600 more available on request.
They should sell over 3-000 now with 4 days to go!!

I voted narrow win Sheff Utd although I obviously hope I'm wrong, I think they will have too much for this division and do a Norwich / Leicester.
3 points would be great but 1 wouldn't be bad.
Whatever happens I cant wait for the seaosn to start!
Can see a 1-1, by all accounts we've got a good unit at the back, but like Prozac mentioned, we're a wee bit toothless up front, so maybe from a corner we'll see a Diamond/M'voto header to make it 1-1, but with Sheff U having the higher level quality (even if it did get them relegated) and the mix of quality youth players theyve got with a couple of older experienced heads they should get back in the game, i'd be happy with 1-1.
Think they'll bring just less than 3,000 and there will be just less than 5,000 home fans, new season or not, we're not just gonna find loads of fans all of a sudden, but with Dogdale and Hudds coming up, it's all good news for the club coffers.

Postcode's are used for sorting mail and are a reference to your LOCAL sorting office, not hard is it, Failsworths local sorting office is Mancunia, hense M in the post code...jeeez
re: the ground, great news to be satying at BP!

It was Toyota that were gonna have the naming rights.

Was talking to someone in the know today at a much bigger club financially and said as you have.... been offered Cody for £575k PLUS extras.... not going to happen.
On an unrelated topic. Was told what a top lad Jermaine Johnson is with local kids. Chance conversation with a bloke at tram stop as he walked out of his house. Said hes clueless or premier on his day.
SWFC???

Remember Robson being linked with the Sheff United job a while ago pretty sure they already had a link with a club side from China.
For those who didn't watch ere programme, can you give a brief synopsis of what happened/what it was about?
-
Bit of rivalry kid, its a laugh, lighten up, sure they'd do the same.
-
fair play to him for checking other forums and reporting bull:censored: then
hardy said something along the lines of ''if we are after Tom Eaves then we know nothing about it''
Could be playing mind games? lol
tbh i dont know if id want him, ant dun much to convince me he'd do us any favours (oh yeah he's scored a couple in the same reserve league he was playing in for us)
remem wolfy, barlow, sugden et al doing the same thing!
-
dickhead dragon, 6 toes, your gonna die dragon
Great minds Youngen, not too much difference there kid
-
It would be a massive shame if it was hijacked by Latics fans sending in stupid suggestions ! LOL
I'll Start...Dogdale the Dick
-
the Chron would be fooked without OWTB wouldnt it
saying that they did start one of there own the other day regarding Eaves
Notlob fan at work clocked me at work the other day and said "your after Eaves aren't you", I said "been reading the Chron have we", he retorted "The What", "I've read on a number of forums that you want Eaves back for a 6 month loan"
So tbf Mr Chambers in't Chron may have something, but it is ridiculous the amount of stories that appear in't Chron that have been on here first, Richard Wright the other week springs to mind!
-
Just put a burgen van in, porta-loo, some beer and charge £10-13 in to watch the game, i reckon you'd get 500-750 fans back, i would go every game if thatr was the case.

I've backed the sheep fiddling scum to win the league.

4 weeks later.......lol

Missed the main one. Every game we have played in the competition has cost us money. Including the 'massive' home crowd in the semi with Blackpool. Northern Final with Wrexham
:censored: competition. Stick the kids out and &*%$ it off.
-
Their certainly splashing the cash this year
Backed them at 14's, they've got a good little squad developing there.
Constable, Craddock, Smalley, Pitman up top.
Leven Midfield.
Harry Worley in Defence.

I think yeah its CMD, it fits all the pieces you'd presume but does he fit in the category of 'Star Striker' though, he's had one good season in the 4th tier of the English Football Pyramid. He's no Maheta Malongo is he?
-
Maybe, though if Posh want him, there could be bigger clubs in L1 who want him (or Championship) on loan.
he's rich with his comments about ridiculous price tage, CMS was good but never worth £3.25m...what the devil and all the cash they'll demand for Lewis and Boyd, didnt they get a daft amount for McClean as well???
I agree its too big amount for CMD, but surely with the funds theyve got they could snap him up for that price!

Manchester United midfielder Ravel Morrison is expected to join Oldham Athletic on a season long loan. Morrison tipped to be the hottest prospect at Manchester United since Danny Welbeck.
Ravel can play in both central midfield and in attack scoring goals very regulor.
In recent months he has had some offield problems and Sir Alex Ferguson believes a move to a lower league club such as Oldham would benefit his game, and being the down the road will allow Sir Alex Ferguson to keep watch and allow him to train with United also.
But Oldham face competition from Peterborough United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's who often played him in the reserves wants him to spend the season Molde, beliving he can monitor his football game and help him develop further.
However Sir Alex Ferguson favours a local football league side.
Goalkeeper Ben Amos is also expected to join Oldham Athletic on a season long loan deal following a successful loan spell there last season.
Heard this from the Mancs at work but didnt believe it, would be class if it happened.
-
Excellent signing for shrewsbury, and might have a couple of quid on them for the title next year.......
Best of Luck Hazell, was one of my fav players
lol just give me your money, you'll be throwing it away!
If Oldham players had music singles
