Right. I think I get it now. Have just been catching up with posts. Believe it or not I don't spend my life on here. This is my first time on here. I have been living in the Granada Region of Spain for over 6 years and landed back in this country a couple of months back. End of.
P.S. I don't think I have been particularly negative? Just watched 3 utter crap games of football. What are you supposed to say, "Hey, that was fantastic!".
You'll soon learn that the life of a Latics supporter offering a relatively new insight in the form of a previously unknown screen name is fodder for the 'establishment'.....don't let it put you off....the establishment gets stale quite often.

That was like watching a game between Oldham at home Vs Oldham away.

We played with a flat back five and played two central defensive midfielders on the toes of our back three which left us with a front three trying to put a press on
Exactly....and it's the same for every home game. The press is useless if your midfield is 40 yards behind.

Can't see what's wrong with having a decent vocabulary. What word would you use?
Dour, miserable, stern, poker faced....something everybody would understand without being schooled?

FFS Dave.....what's the point of using words that you know 99.9% of us are going to have to google......is that some sort of smug oneupmanship?

If one day, the 'the ever changing moods of a Latics fan' needs description.....this thread says it all.

Some questioning why Fondop was left on but he made some pretty crucial headed clearances late on and threw himself at everything goal bound. Not his role of course, but can't fault his commitment.

Top left is the lad accused of giving Frank verbals in the away end a few week ago.
No sympathy for anyone caught up in these latest incidents, invading the pitch has to stop and hopefully this will deter the vast majority from doing it, it is a criminal offence but more importantly it's cringy as fuck.
Naaaah.....it's Bobby Firminio.....

Still up Tony
I could talk about it all night but it wouldn’t make any difference…we’d lost that game before a ball was kicked.
Drastic rethink needed and quickly!!
Last thing before bed pal….. couldn’t sleep without getting ‘him’ off my chest
Stupidly, I let the time of close season and the new signings lull me into thinking we were assembling a squad ready for ‘a right go’ at this league. I’m sure Frank and the board feel the same way with the outlay they’ve made and it’s a shame their faith is being taken advantage of. Unsworth is a football charlatan.
-
The Dumbfuck Lemsagam (in hindsight) actually appointed quite a few good Managers, all of whom would be likely to get more of a tune out of the squad assembled over the past year or so than Unsworth and his team of football genius clones. All it needs is half an attacking mindset and we should be flying with the players we've had and got since he came in....but no, he hasn't adapted one iota to the demands of this league despite lessons handed out week after week by teams with lesser 'on paper' ability and far less of a budget. New players arrive weekly spouting what a big club we are and the plan to get us back to where we 'belong'
We fucking ARE where we belong because of our managerial insistence on playing negative, defence first 'football' in a league where attacking intent and sleeves rolled up hardness wins the day far more often than the shite we offer up week after week. We have a squad capable of challenging but if we aren't going to challenge the teams we come up against, it's a waste of time. It almost seems like the better the squad we assemble, the more clueless the tactics become.
Like quite a few have rightly said today, it's not one game....it's a continuation of his preferred style of play and now with HIS squad. He only ever gets a performance when circumstances dictate he needs to change his hand due to injuries or suspensions, a consequence of which is players rolling up their collective sleeves and playing a more ad-hoc and conventioanal attacking formation.
He won't be going anywhere any time soon because the ownership has invested heavily in him and his entourage but there is no chance of meaningful progress as long as he is in charge of team affairs. We might sit more comfortably than we did for the most part last year but forget contending for promotion, his system is incompatible with the league and sadly, the wishes of most supporters.
Unsworth out!

Just to show how big the gap is, both Wrexham and Notts County have had a right shagging today in League 2....

2-0 down, five minutes to go and we are 'trying' to pass it around at the back. Just lump the fucking thing forward.......I'm sick to death of Unsworth and his minnions thinking they are all Guardiola and Arteta........there is absolutely not one iota of difference to the shite we saw week after week last year. Surely Frank and the Royles' can see that?

When the day comes that you don't get there on pure sporting merit that's the day sport dies.
Come off it Dave....if they'd spent even half of what (various funders admittedly) Latics have spent on facilities over the period in question, they wouldn't have had the money to spend on their various (and nonetheless impressive) promotion campaigns.

Hopefully this is a solid blueprint for us to follow.
Might have to give the @BPAS episode with the suppoerts trust another listen.
A blueprint to follow????
Hardly spent a penny on facilities in forty years.....shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the prem, even if they win the Wembley showpiece.

2-1 down.....they are absolutely ripping us to bits!!

Fuck me......three minutes and they are all over us!! Should have had another two already!

First 25 was dreadful stuff, then it seemed to go a little end to end, and could be 3-2 easily. Why their player squared it i‘ll never know when through on goal. Dreadful pitch, this is as non-league as it gets.
Agree with that.....if Green could cross, who knows how many chances we might have had?

No we shouldn’t. We’ve missed 2 great chances too.

They've missed two sitters so far....should be 2-1 down

Now this lad would need some serious fitness work (he's got the 'Unsworth shape' about him).....but by god can he finish. Incredible skills for such a big lump too.

People often talk about Managers' losing 'the dressing room'
This 'dressing room' has lost two managers and a sizeable crowd
You can't buy team spirit....
