If that's one of the worse things he does as owner, I'll suffer it.

Is it possible to slot a bobble ?

Will be a bit sad not to be in the Fa cup proper for the 1st time in ....how ever many years it is.
Latics first ever FA Cup match was on Oct 7th 1905, beating Ashton Town 2-1 in the First Qualifying Round. We went out in 4th Qualifying Round , losing 2-1 at Hull City on Dec 9th 1905.
Ever since then we have made it to the "Proper" Rounds.

No reason for us not to be told now who the new man is unless the new man hasn't put his signature on the offer
Or its Parky?Interesting.
He wouldn’t be the new man until he has put his signature on the offer,
Thats the reason!

It is highly unlikely Cowley will get the Wednesday job. I certainly hope he doesn't as I fear it would be managerial career suicide. I think the Cowleys would be a perfect choice for Bradford City. If not there Gillingham is another good opportunity.
But my fear is a month from now all those vacancies will have been filled and the Cowleys will still be sitting at home, nine months plus since they left Pompey.
Oldham Athletic sitting mid-table in the fifth tier is a great situation to take over. I could see the Cowleys being very interested in building something at Boundary Park as they did at Sincil Bank.
Disagree. They’ve done that, could well think they’ve nothing to prove at this level, and there are always League jobs coming up. I could believe that it would be a desperation mentality for them to go for us.
However..,,.I wouldn’t say no

I don't see a split I see the majority saying the same thing.
I thought your recent post was spot on but there’s no evidence of how the overall supporter body feeling one way or another. OWTB is a bubble and it would be wrong to project on to others.
But keep posting sense.

Mr Unsworth should be nowhere near a football team again , his philosophy of don't let the other team score and maybe we can sneak one is just plain daft . Surely everybody knows you need to score goals to win games . He won 1 game in 10 , S Thompson has won 3 out of 6 and no losses . OAFC wasted at least 6 months in keeping Unsworth in the job .No way he would have got 3 wins out of 6.
He’s gone. Move on.

Interestingly, Clemence was on the "guests" list for Rochdale's game in midweek. Could be reading too much into it, but could he have been scouting Rochdale ahead of our game...?
Or out of work coach just watching as much football as he can?

Hmmm...did seem a lot of token jogging towards the opposition when they had the ball, rather than genuine pressing.
How is their disallowed goal off-side if Sutton touched it??
Offside if accidentally touched it, onside if deliberately played it.

How about Rochdale away? Would we sell out twice? Or would we take 1500 as a scouting party before main army arrived following week?

He’s gone. Why still abuse him?

Credit to the Oxford 22, although their club must hope for bigger away followings.
Yesterday was the lowest of the season - they took 24 to Halifax!

Chaddy End experiment looked a damp squib. Looked around no more than a couple of hundred and the cost of all those stewards won’t have been small.
But it’s been given a go.- 3

ROSS JENKINS | WE CAN'T TAKE OUR FOOT OFF THE PEDAL (oxfordcityfc.co.uk)
Sounds like we'll have to be prepared for a "what we have we hold" attitude. An early goal ,as per Tuesday, will be really helpful.

The Ref is the one who was in charge when we won 1-0 at Chesterfield last season.
In four National League games this season he has issued 22 yellow cards..,, -

I want a manager who plays attacking, winning football that the players want to play for, primarily.
Someone who comes across well and is relatable secondly.
When the chips are down, I want to want the manager to turn it around. With Unsworth, I wasn't that fussed...
You don’t want much do you ?

Darren Beckford is the one I remember as doing a great job, but I’m sure there were others more recently, however…who was the last goalkeeper to come off the bench and play as an outfield player? I think Jon Hallworth was probably the only one to do it for us, for Joe Royle’s team in the second leg of the League Cup match v West Ham many years ago? We were 6-0 up from the first leg (St Valentine’s Day massacre) and were allowed 2 subs, so Joe chose a goalkeeper to guard against the risk of losing the keeper early on. We had 2 injuries and JH ended up playing in midfield. I think, that’s the way I remember it. Perhaps McFluffy thinks JR was a shit manager.
Sorry AG but Hallworth started the match in goal at Upton Park so not that game. It was Andy Rhodes who was one of the two subs but wasn’t called on to play.
In the days before subs it’s possible that an injured keeper might end up playing out (hand injury maybe) but I’ve not got any details of such.

So Jimmy Thompson jr left at the end of the 59 season. Listed as a "Wing Half" I am sure someone will remember him. I recall some of his team mates:
John Bazley
Peter Pheonix
Bill Spurdle
Peter Stringfellow
He was sold to Exeter as we needed the money

It’s all in Latics Lads , Who’s Who of Oldham Athletic, and Latics Legends.
If you haven’t got one or all of these - do so! -
One match in charge. Far too early to talk about giving it to him till end of the season

If changing a decision like that because of dissent is allowed in the rules then that is a much better way of dealing with it than just giving Kitching a second yellow. What would have made more sense in those circumstances though is to blow the whistle, call Kitching over, explain what he’s going to do and why, make a clear signal so everyone knows that’s what is happening and not allow York to take a quick free kick whilst most of the players and the crowd haven’t got the faintest idea what just happened.
Kitching was booked very quickly after the initial incident which seems incredibly harsh. Especially if he could just have said “keep quiet or I’ll give them the free kick instead”.
Laws not rules
I agree , he could have managed it better.
