  1. Simple, he could have walked away at the same time as blitz’s and Gazal, but he didn’t ... and over to you ?????
  2. In desperate times , people resort to desperate measures, why do you think payday loan companies exist , is it because people really want to pay extortionate interest rates, or could it be they’ve exhausted every other option available to them (and so to speak ) have had to agree being ripped off to feed the family... unless you know different, the EFL doesn’t do food banks!!!!
  3. How the f..k can you associate a particular user name to any club... for example I could be called cityboy, does this indicate that I’m a young (man) city fan , or does it indicate that I work / live in the city... the connotations are endless ?????
  4. You seem to believe that ,oafc is a massive cash cow, that being the case please tell me why it took so 14 years to sell in the club ???
  5. FFS you’re obsessed with this Simon theory, you really do need to stop watching, the soaps and believing in tooth fairy and father christmas!!!!
  6. Ok split in hairs now are we , do just for you I’ll correct, autocorrect (because it doesn’t speak Oldham ) , give me proof that he was a “wrongun”
  7. Of course there’s still money to be made, but that is reliant in the site being developed, but please tell which business, you are aware of , that are plan to run at a loss ?
  8. The other 2 left Corney holding the baby , again I wil ask , give me the proof for that he was a “wronging” ?????
  9. What cup runs (they were few and far between) and the last player we sold was big money was earl barrett, as for the (Tarkowski) sell on clause , it was a case of damned if you do and damned if you don’t (and the money from selling it , may have kept the wolves from the door (and kept the club afloat) we lost money by refusing to sell on the Micah Richards clause (and ended up with nothing) , we also list money when Chris Porter shafted us by f..king off Motherwell
  10. Apart from a couple of dozen houses on the site of the former Clayton Arms (which the club made no money from , because JW Lees owned the pouring rights) , the site remains largely undeveloped , so you can hardly say that they’ve made large swaithes of money from the land (at best they’ve broken even) ,I’m not sure about your understanding of economics, but the purpose of any business is to make money, yes had things gone to plan the car park would now be a housing estate, and they may have made a few quid, but in the same sense we would have had a nice new ground and the borough of Oldham would had had improved (amateur) sporting facilities
  11. So let’s do the maths , AL is claiming to be putting £200k a month in to the club to keep it afloat, which suggests that (initially) the TTA (and latterly) corney (wether financed by Blitz or not (and assuming similar costs ( although I’m sure they would have been higher because of the higher league position))) , they would have “invested” close to £34m during the 24 years they “owned” the club .., clearly set of bad b....rd’s the lot of them!!!!!!
  12. The point I’m making is that corney wasn’t as bad as the picture you paint of him. you also claim the 3 amigos had already claimed the loans back in the value of the land and the house built on it ... the brought the land back from the council , so any profit they made from it was there’s in the first place, in the same sense that if you sell your house any profit made on it will be yours to keep and not the previous owner !!!!
  13. Thanks for the clarification, like the majority of the fans I’m concerned about the future of the club
  14. A number 10 is a attacking midfielder / play maker , and it is clearly evident that this is a position that we need to fill
  15. Taken from the mission statement on the trusts website “Working with the Supporter Liaison Officer, Trust Oldham will help to provide a structured communication channel for Oldham Athletic fans” The words here being structured communication ... soz
  16. Wimbledon didn’t go bust, they were bought out by a franchise, who as soon as the agreement to stay in Wimbledon expired, they moved the club to Milton Keynes and rebranded the club as MK Dons
  17. The point I’m making is that they had no obligation to stick around once acquired the reason for taking over the club ie the land . This would have left us in the same position as Bradford Park Avenue - playing Sunday league football, you call corney uselesd, but at least under him we had a CEO and board of directors. His plans to build a new ground were scuppered on numerous occasional asions by the local dog walkers and allotment users
  18. For clarity, it’s called supporting evidence, used to emphasise a point in question in the case the claim that the 3 amigos only took over the club because of the land , that may have been one of their primary objectives, but only they can confirm that . However once they attained their pot of gold, they could have pulled the plug, in the same way that Chris Moore did
  19. Knowledgeable? It’s called research , simple to carry out , particularly as we now have a handy new tools like the internet and search engines , it certainly beats the blinkered the 3 amigos haters .
  20. We haven’t got any, but again the club could have been placed in liquidation 14 years ago and gone out of existence
  21. Erm, why the hell would corney, be interested in posting on here , before , but the recent events at the (to quote Davieset al) the circus, prompted me to do do, I was also curious as to why the trust who are supposed to the fans representatives at the club, have been silent through out , sti waiting to be enlightened!!!! The
  22. But the fact still remain, they could have walked away from the club 14 years ago, and left the club in the same deep sh.t , that Chris Moore left it in i.e in administration with no assets. Likely worth more, now there’s an ambiguous statement ?
  23. No they didn’t they bought the land back from the council for £3m , and could quite easily pulled out once this was acquired, knocked the ground down and built a retail park or housing complex and left us in the s..t like Chris More did ...!!!!
  24. Not many crooks invest substantial amounts of money to support a failing football club for 14 years, and before you throw the asset stripping card on the table... when the 3 amigos took over the club, we were in administration, the best players had already left and the ground was owned by the council. But please enlighten me on how he is a crook, no doubt the crown prosecution services will be eagerly awaiting your evidence!!!
  25. yet again the silence from the club and all those involved in it is deafening ???
