  1. The basics can be aired (otherwise Mike Minay could have revealed it) and as for confidentiality, it can be that sensitive kit Minay got hold of it, either that or the trust had got a mole ?
  2. Take it you are on the trust by your reaction ? ... no further statement will be made ... is that keeping the fans in the loop ... if the trust need to raise money to buy the ground , then why aren’t they organising fundraising groups , are they going to have a whip-round between themselves or have they got a secret investor tucked away somewhere?
  3. If it includes the Joe Royle stand then yes, they paid the council £3m for the land and the Royle stand allegedly cost £4 million , do guess they’re trying to get their money back
  4. Planned permission was previously given to build house (including afford houses / accommodation for nurses) on the land surrounding the ground (car park etc)
  5. Keeping fans in the loop, which loop is that that then... nowhere in the statement issued by the trust does it mention anything about an offer being made on the ground , so either they are being economical with the truth or Mike Minay has got it wrong ????
  6. Midfield has been an issue most of the season, maybe it’s the way we set up, maybe it’s because we’ve got too many holding / defensive midfields , but I’m sure that Scholes can make Gardner in to a useful player
  7. Wow high praise indeed. You can’t fault Gardner for his industry, but his end product has been poor, sure with Scholes guidance he can be come a great player .
  8. The problem with Gardner , is they he’s not half as good as he thinks he is.., can’t pass to save his life (or certainly forward anyway), I’ve lost count of the number of times promising attack’s have broken down because he passed to the opposition. However , considering that Scholes is widely acknowledged as one of the best passers of the bell in recent times, I would have thought he wanted to learn from the best ,
  9. Wonder how long it’d take , you just can’t help yourself !
  10. Oh dear , I can see some people going in to meltdown over this !
  11. It will be interesting to see if he insists everybody starts with a clean slate , and takes the players off the naughty step
  12. It will be difficult to drop branger sfter that performance, nepo played well, but clearly isn’t a full back and better opposition would have caught us out. Hopefully Scholes has been in the background for the past couple of weeks and will know the strengths and weaknesses of the squad.
  13. Coming right back at you, challenge you to a game of marbles at playtime tomorrow!!
  14. Apparently the delay has been caused by AL conducting a witch hunt to find the source of the leak , so that he can sack them (like he has done with half of the clubs employees)...
  15. The difference is Corney, ( and to some extent Blitz and Gazal ) stayed loyal to the club for 14 years it and without them Oldham Athletic wouldn’t be in existence
  16. Err no he didn’t , Moore’s actions (living beyond our means) directly led to the club being placed in administration, we were just his play thing and no doubt used to launder his dodgy money and he ditched us when we no longer suited his purpose
  17. Depends on how long AL and Little Mo can resist the urge to meddle in team selection / recruitment!
  18. The problem faced by both Bunn and Wild) is thanks to AL, they have very little option but to play either Miller or O’Grady up front ie players like Duffus frozen out and forced to train with the youth team . As for O’Grady, you can’t knock the effect he puts in every game, which is something you can’t say for some of the players (like Baxter)
  19. I guess everybody needs a scapegoat and O’Grady is clearly yours , but you need to look at the bigger picture, his role in the team hold ball and link up play , and (until his sacking) FB had started to develop him in the player he can be (which is evident by his recent goal scoring form)
  20. Perhaps FB’s sacking had something to do with one of the players (allegedly) grabbing AL by the throat when he stormed in to the dressing room after the Exeter game .
  21. I would like to think that Scholes, has, been involved with first team training, even if it is only in an advisory role. And let’s hope he or Pete Wild (and not the chuckle brothers ) get to choose the team
  22. Edmudson gave a way the 1st penalty, had enough chance to win it, but poor finishing let us down (again)
  23. It would help if the sporting director had a little more credentials than being the owners brother
  24. What you need to realise that without Corney Blitz and Gazal, there would be no Oldham Athletic and didn’t f..k after 2 years like Chris Moore. Corney may not have been perfect but unlike our current owner, he left team selection , recruitment and discipline to the manager and didn’t storm in to the dressing room throwing his toys out of his pram
  25. Just a thought, but being as the trust, brass bank and Lemsagam all have a shared interest, wouldn’t it have been a good idea to get all 3 parties sat down together ?
