  2. No games this next midweek so we turn to Saturday.

Saturday morning at 11am the Youth team take on Burnley. Always a difficult game against the Clarets. Yesterday Burnley lost 4-2 at Radcliffe Borough against Bury and Latics drew 1-1 against Rochdale at Chapel Road.

If you come down kick off is often between 10.45 and 11.00 so dont rely on KO at exactly 11.00. Dont forget Yvonnes refreshments with half of the profit going to Youth team funds - and the gazebo is handy if raining  .

On Saturday afternoon the first team are at home to Brentford (15.00)

This afternoons Oldham Athletic girls and women away fixture against Failsworth Ladies has been postponed. Next Sunday's game against AFC Urmston Meadowside is set for a KO of 14.00 but the venue will not be Chapel Road. Contact me if you want to know and I will reply when I find out.

  3. I went straight to work last night from the game and have only just been able to sit down properly and read all the messages and retweets.

My original message "the club have asked that i dont tweet updates so that it does not take traffic from the os." was poorly phrased.

The club didnt tell me not to tweet or in any way try to stop me.

The club needs as much revenue as possible from its deal with FL interactive.

If tweeting updates means a reduction in traffic to the site for reserve match reports then it would be ill-considered of me to continue.

On Saturday morning at 11.00 the Youth team are at home aginst Rochdale in the Youth Alliance League. This game was originally scheuled as an away game at Ashton United but they have a home game in the FA Cup on that day so the fixtures where reversed.

Next Sunday the girls and womens team play at Failsworth Ladies FC at Broadhurst playing fields, Moston Lane, Moston. KO is 14.00.

  9. Quiet week this week at BP with just two games next Saturday.

On SATURDAY at 11am again at Chapel Road the Youth team will play Preston North End.

Yesterdays loss by 2-1 at Morecambe was a dissapointement - especially with a thin squad coach Philiskirk had to make two substitutions before half time. Latics where two down early on after Keeper Luke Simpson was badly exposed when mistekes by Alex Parkes and Glen Belezikia left Morecambe in. Kyle Riley pulled one back with 10 mins left but we couldnt get a second.

On SATURDAY at 15.00 the first team look for a third win in a row at Colchester Uniteds souless, depressing Weston Community Homes Stadium - Give me Layer Road anyday
