Yes he has but look at how well hes done st these clubs ? Started of ok then results went down hill very quickly .. all getting desperate I think .. but what do I know.?

If he starts well with clubs, he could be the perfect choice for the start of the season until November managerial stint👍🏻

Vera has been released. Have you seen much of the unnamed striker in question?

I was so looking forward to seeing Vera walk around and not score again next season as well... I expect the Slovenian will fill his shoes amicably though👍🏻

Not a prayer we would take 20k to a league 2 play-off final.

We get so excited when we take 4k to a game, where are the other 16k coming from?

We would probably make five figures.

Probably the same place 32K for the league cup final turned up from I suppose. They were exceptional circumstances though.

There used to be a really close connection with Latics and Hibs.

Goes back to the pre-season tournament on the Isle of Man under Big Joe. There was us, Hibs, Bury, Stoke and a few others from memory. Hibs and us had by far the largest contingent of fans on the island and we developed a great rapport. Tony Henry was on the ale with us the night before one game - and surprisingly had a shocker the next day!

Me and my mate had a drinking/pool competition with a few Hibs lads - one of them ended up in hospital for a few days with liver problems (!), another in A/E because he walked straight into a lampost and we waltzed off back to our hotel chatting about "hard drinking scotsmen!". All very childish I know but great memories. (by the way - the pool competition ended England 10 - Scotland 0).

I also remember us playing them at BP pre-season in about 1987, they brought a decent following and it was carnage on Sheepfoot Lane after the match!

Obviosuly I understand the difference between an NDA and an injunction. And totally unmderstand the need to protect commecially senstive information.
But what worries me, having raised this with Darren, is the blanket NDA AND the lawyer sign off for the minutes. THe wrost case scanario is that someting untoward is found, or the need to blow the whistle cannot be done because of the NDA.

I could be massively wide of the mark here, but what if what was discussed and covered by the NDA was about the state the previous regime left the club in. Perhaps there is a legal case in the offing or perhaps happening and if any details were to get out in the public domain it could affect that case.

Again I will refer you to any number of my posts where I say AL is doing an awful job. You really need to see someone, your reading isn't up to much. Scholes, in my opinion, did bottle it, and SOME of AL's players are decent

Ha, shit my pants? What would it achieve? I thought the trust were open to suggestions? Look at their responses to people. They're clearly not. They say they'll inform the fans and keep people up to date. They don't. Silence from them at the minute

Silence? I went to a meeting with them on Monday night, maybe you should have gone and asked questions to them directly

Ah, I thought you were saying it was not so bad as it looks.

It was me that partially suggested that.

What I meant was it’s not like someone is going to serve us with a winding up order for £12M tomorrow. But as you quite rightly point out, we should see that debt decrease in the accounts year on year... until the next lease is signed of course!

    🤣

Nigh on £12m is easy to forget when it is convenient.

Some of the £12M showing in the club accounts is the cost of leasing the North Stand off Brassbank for the next X amount of years (sorry can’t remember what the timeframe was). So whilst it’s horrific, it’s marginally less horrific than it might appear.

The most worrying thing thing that was said is that the club is basically insolvent and relies completely on the money the owner puts in. I should add, it’s not clear to the Trust where the money comes from!

NDA. Pissing. Trust should fold immediately. The ego-trip for those involved who like to feel better by knowing more than the normal fan is becoming incredibly tiresome especially when the club is in the state it is.

The NDA was apparently signed because specifics regarding staff were discussed which obviously can’t be allowed out in the public domain

I was hoping this could be revealed to Trust members first. Nothing from the Trust so far. Weird how it is some basic wordpress site.

I was excited by this but I've more questions than answers right now.

I guess once the operational team are revealed more will become clear.

Can anyone confirm that the wages for OEC staff are paid by Oldham Event Centre Ltd?

My understanding is that they are, and the football club then pay a fee to OEC to provide hospitality.... as you can imagine, this may not have been paid, allegedly.

It looks as though the fan-led group needs major investors in order to proceed.

2811SportMedia is run by Broady, Lee Croft, Michael Beardmore and Anthony Dalglish.

The latter has "been appointed commercial director of Club Supporter, a new and innovative app that has been designed to help bridge the gap between fans and the day to day fund raising challenges most sport clubs and charities find themselves facing in this tough modern day way of life".

Or perhaps it could be there is space within the purchase for small investors like ‘normal’ fans to get involved

So they can afford to buy a stand, yet can't fund an administrator for a few months whilst a new buyer is found? Sounds legit.

It would be pretty hard to get a bank to  provide finance to fund a company in administration!! Not so difficult to get finance to fund a going concern like the OEC👍🏻
