  1. Pete Wild seems like a really well grounded likeable guy, and has been so impressive in the media these last few days.

I just don’t think this is his time, but certainly he’s one the club should be looking to prepare for the managers job down the line though. From the outside, it looks like he has a fairly stable role within the acedemy (and look how many years TP got out of that role) it may not be the best move for him to risk just a potential 6 months in the top job, only to find himself out of work with a young family at the end of the season.

Again I may be well wide of the mark, but I would image the team has been run almost by committee by coaches and senior players this last few weeks with Wild at the top of the tree, maybe there’s a way to continue along these lines with someone coming in with a Director of Football role.

He's a businessman at the end of the day, we are a loss making business....the previous owner had no funds and secured monies by lending against his shares (via Blitz). Blitz  had to approve of the sale to Al with, I am sure, some sort of payback clause back to Blitz. How much, when, frequency of it all I am not privvy too as that would a confidential info between  Blitz & Al when the club was sold.

Blitz could have called in that debt secured against the shares of the club at anytime pre Al. Owing both club in name, the buildings and the land. But he is not interested in running a football club. I think we all know the value is in the land, planning permissions previously have been granted for housing around BP from the original clayton build (which is still ongoing) and behind Frizzell stand going up sheepfoot lane. The recent revision to the GM spartial framework with the need for housing could mean, this continues around BP.

I am sure both parties want to work together to make sure our club not only survives but becomes profitable.

Am I right in my observation that Mr. Blitz seems to be keeping a keener eye on proceedings at BP that he has prior to Mr. Lemsagem taking over?

Blitz and Gazal will always divide fans opinions.

For the time being, they are our landlords and have been in attendance at some home and away matches now and lets face it, if Corney did not have any other business to keep us ticking over, who do you think has been pre Al?

The Trust have an amicable relationship with both landlords and owner, dialogue with both has increased and improved over the season.

If what your saying here is that Blitz has been the one keeping us ticking over during the Corney reign then I’d probably have to say he’s a hell of a guy! Not many people would be throwing money at a loss making business they they have no interest in. Unless there’s things that we are in the dark about with our previous and perhaps current ownership... which I’m sure there is.

    For me:

Driving to this one. 170 miles, 3 hours.

By train: 3 hours 28 minutes. Add another 40 minutes to/from stations and we are talking 4 plus hours journey time.

Driving it is. Now... what’s the parking like?

Drove there a few years ago, there’s plenty of parking on the surrounding industrial estate for about £4 - £5. Might be a bit different if there’s a bigger crowd there of course

Not about the money but a win nets us £180,000.

It's a chance to progress and if we win may also give us money to improve the team for a promotion push before the window is out.

I would argue it’s absolutely about the money for clubs like us as we are not going to win it.... well the money and a great day out for the fans, which in this case it just isn’t sadly.

Begrudginly liked him as a player, know zero about him as a manager.

The complaint about it him from the supporters of the previous clubs he’s managed is that his teams play dull defensive football. We all know how our supporters feel about that style! It’s not going to end well is it☺️

3,000 after just one day of general sale, personally I think we will easily shift another 1,500+ over the next couple of weeks. Maybe that’s overly optimistic but many thought we’d struggle to take 2,000 when the draw was initially announced. Our support is outstanding.

Hope I’m proved massively wrong, but I reckon quite a few season ticket holders will have bought tickets for non season tickets holders, so open sale might not go as well as you think.

Whatever happens though 3500 to London on a Sunday afternoon for a game we’ll most likely lose is unbelievable support.

Nope, but ten quid a ticket with kids practically free is a fantastic deal to see a third round FA cup tie. Hopefully non season ticket holders will pick up on the deal when they go on open sale.

Their normal price for adults is in the range of £30 to £65 for a league game, so they may well get a few turning out for a cheap deal like this

Apparently we cheated our way to victory 😀

    From their forum.

“Thought we had a shout for a pen at the end.  The ref created a climate in the game which perfectly suited Oldham who got away with murder. Timewasting, blocking free kicks, have the little kid ball boys walk slow, booting the ball away, cynical pulls and pushes to stop our play, sly and too such a degree I can not give them credit. “

After having them tactics deployed against us all season, I’m glad to see us doing the same to the opposition. Seems we have learned how to be Lincoln-esque shithouses👍🏻
