  1. We can see the fans expectations by the drop in ST sales.

Mine are for us to be mid to bottom of the table, flirting with relegation for most of the season. I can also see a scenario where Marco does a midnight flit and we end up in administration and get relegated. I’ll begrudgingly take my first expectation as the preferred outcome at this stage.

I have no plans to visit BP next season, my support for Latics will be away days only.

I prey we can do it but have we ever won 6 on the bounce which realistically is what we need. Add that to the previous 4 wins and two draws, making us unbeaten in 12 🤯

We won the first 5 in the 1991 promotion season, not sure we’ve done anything like that since in the league

Under normal circumstances this could  have been a massive game and you’d have been looking at 7k+.

What a complete waste of yet another season for our fans😡

It says it all when our home attendance is less than the amount of season ticket sales we had. I doubt the crowd will

break 5K with the amount of people boycotting

I was meeting fans who had joined the Trust  outside Laticzone to give them their cards.

I was talking to a fan about his card when Birkett came right up to my face pointing and Shouting that "the trust are all liars and he will expose us..."

I asked him to step away from me as I am feeling threatened and he continued until two police office heard me saying again I am feeling threatened and they came between us and moved him on. Even the police asked me what it was all about and i explained he is not happy with the Trust and left it at that.

It did actually shake me up a bit, I mean I am no little wall flower  and have seperated many a fight at the college,  grew up with 80/s football violence and all. But you don;t expect one of your own not to understand how intimidating that can be and that it is not acceptable behaviour.

Apparently he is on Face ache about it all.

I am still a little shaken.....the hubby wants to do his own shaking.

You should have reported him you shouldn’t have been made to feel like that, more embarrassment for the club and the former Trust chair that he’s their “chosen one”

There was all the ones who didn’t turn up  hope they enjoyed doing something else with their day  they could of come down to the ground and tried to get others to do the same but they probably couldn’t be arsed

I had a good day too, I didn’t miss it one bit strangely like I thought I would.

Pleased for those that turned out though and that the team won for them👍🏻

To be clear, this resignation came last week and before Saturday’s meet had been confirmed.

It has no bearing on the trust’s position regarding the current situation at the club as expressed through various channels

    over the last 7 days.

    See you on Saturday.

I hope a replacement can be appointed quickly, the Trust has real momentum at the moment and it needs capitalising on. Also I feel a Trust figurehead is required during negotiations over the purchase from Brassbank.

I think its a sign people are more philosophical of the situation Scholes has inherited hes had 2 weeks and with 4 games in those 2 weeks hasn't had time to really try anything new with the team yet. Its going to take time this.

Its frustrating that Bury have regrouped from relegation far better than we have but alot of that comes down to the fact that they have got a man in at the back end of last season who had time to assess the squad. This gave him a head start in recruitment in the summer and he has done with backing and support rather than interference.

Ive said for a good while now that we seem to start every season with a virtually new team and in some cases a new manager. It then takes a few months for things to gel, we start to get going, then we have a poor transfer window and a shit pitch in January and we are back to square one.

We really need to start to build now for next season, keep a nucleas of a squad, get rid of the chaff and have a clear set of targets for the summer, and FFS spend some money on the pitch!

As Barry Blatter might say “let’s start to do things properly around here,” then we might have half a chance.

Well over the top, they couldn’t wait to start lashing out at anybody in view, I know there was a few tools trying to leave but the police tactics was a disgrace,as for the bury tossers in the stand to the left spitting and coining the Oldham fans ( brave wankers) was left to do anything they wanted to do, it’s a sad situation that people like yourself have to get caught up in this situation, GMP at there finest

Made me laugh how they were giving it the big “I am” when they thought we were being kept in, and then were all hiding at the top of that stairwell when they saw we were actually out😂

Whoever assessed the situation and decided to keep one end of Tics in the ground at the final whistle must have been smacked off their heads - too many halftime Vimtos. The logic behind this course of action was risible and flawed, not least because:

    • If they wanted to clear the car park first and ensure the safety of away fans, don’t let the other stand of Tics out as they, er, could if inclined, quite easily be in said car park possibly exchanging pleasantries with the Bury kids - so objective not achieved
    • The announcement 10 mins before end of game was inevitably going to lead to a couple of hundred fans deciding to leave there and then. Yet the club and police seemed to be caught a little off guard, panicked, closing the gates and shoving everyone back thereby laying the foundatition stones for the ensuing trouble
    • then deciding to push fans back to the part of the stand where the Bury fans could goad and hurl coins (cowards) was pure genius
    • they then deployed riot/tactical unit police in three lines to show excellent communication skills whilst handling reasonable requests to leave with “I’m not listening. I don’t care what your reason is and no point telling me as I’m not listening.”

So,  having created a more inflammatory situation than if they had left it, they invited an aggressive reaction not only from some of our fans who enjoy a bit of trouble but many others too. They also made it difficult and stressful for everyone as my experience shows:

    • I approached the first line and before I even said anything, was pushed back and told it was pointless asking anything as they weren’t listening
    • even when I politely asked if I could go as I have Parkinson’s and needed to get back home near Huddersfield by 6pm to take next vital medication and showed them a card stating I have PD they continued to respond with “I’m not listening”  and “Don’t show me anything as I’m not looking.” until eventually I was forced to go down the line of identikit impassive officers amidst  the chaos, asking each one if I could leave.
    • Then, having go through line 1 I encountered their close cousins in line 2 who also played “pass the parcel” with my request, ensuring I asked them all before letting me through, having delightfully added an element of stress
    • the third line and gate-keeper was almost reasonable in comparison and I only spent two minutes discussing my request.  Opening the gate led to further frenzy as a few fellow Tics surged towards it. However this wasn’t necessarily the gatekeepers fault.
    • I noted more riot police running  towards the West Stand, rather gleefully I thought as I picked my way through some home fans who perhaps had left early to beat the traffic.

I’m never convinced keeping away fans in the ground at the final whistle works as a method of ensuring  safe passage as home fans can simply assemble and wait to confront or pick off away fans who are now easy to identify.

Anyway, despite the best efforts of the local police and Bury FC  officials I managed to get home in time and want to say thank you to a fellow Tic who saw my Parkinson’s card and helped my cause by asking for me to be let through. Very much appreciated (apart from referring to me as an “old man”!).

I hope everyone got home safely. A great turn out which deserved a better result.

I think you definitely need to send this account to the club, the police and the Football Supporters Federation
