So they want Lemsagam out?
I’m honestly trying not be obtuse, but I’d rather not say. The Trust have said sensitive discussions are going on, and if I have indeed joined some dots correctly, and it’s entitely likely I haven’t, I’d hate to be the one spoiling anything.

That’s better. And reassuring, maybe. Thank you.

Just as a slight addition, the original intention of the North Stand was to provide the club with a revenue stream outside of just matchdays, and help it to become sustainable. My understanding is that the people involved (and again I genuinely don’t know who they are) believe this is very much achievable.

As soon as my numbers come out tonight the club is all mine
I said the same to my Mrs, she didn’t seem very impressed

Do you want to tell us more seeing as you keep intimating you’re ITK about this....?
I honestly don’t have anything concrete I can share. I have been told largely in riddles by someone who I believe is actually in the know who is an aquatance of mine that there is a long term plan by a group of people (some actual fans, some friends and business partners of theirs) to run the club ‘properly’.
They have been very concerned by goings on at the club for the last year or so if you catch my drift. I should point out that I don’t believe that it’s anyone that has been involved with the ownership of the club previously.
I am largely joining dots, but the announcement would seem to fit with what was hinted to me some
months ago. I guess we just need to watch this space.

Who the fuck is the ‘fan led group’ and how are they affording anything?
Well confusing...
There are fans of ours that have a few quid you know.
P.S. I’m not one of them.

Sell the lot for housing and move to Failsworth?...on second thoughts.
No not at all. Latics safe and secure at BP, and on a sound financial footing. It’s a long term plan though, this is the first part.

Go on......
Don’t know specifics, but I think what has been hinted to me was from someone who would know, just that the group involved have a bigger long term plan. If you owned the land and the stands, what would you want to do next?

Well if nobody can develop the land where the stadium sits until after 2031 then this remains a massive financial millstone around Blitz’s neck. No wonder he’s reappeared and keen to sell it onto some other schmuck.
The rent paid by the club annually is probably less than any interest gained if that £6m sat in a high-interest account.
I return to my original question;
Outside of a fan or the Trust, why would any sane person spend £6m to purchase the land when there’s no realistic investment return for 12 years?
A bid, whoever it’s from, I can only see as a good move. We’ve got 12 years to produce a contingency plan to buy it back or relocate the stadium or would be sufficiently compensated if that changes any sooner?!
They wouldn’t..... and it’s part of a bigger plan, by people who care about our club.

I wouldn’t say this is Abdallah trying to buy, more like people trying to oust Abdallah. This would be the first step.

Diego, unless I really have missed something. There are two parties in situ at BP. Landlord and tennant
Landlords are brassbank LTD
Tennant is club which is owned by Mr Lemsagram. Mr Lemsagram owns club in name only. Nothing else. He leases and has a rental agreement in place
Hope this makes sense
Cheers
Sorry I’m thick... so the fans group/Trust are looking to buy everything excluding the OEC/North Stand then, is that correct?
-
Well I’ve joined the Trust today, I think we all need to get behind this initiative whatever our misgivings about the Trust have been up to this point.

If we win the next two, Bury’s ground isn’t going to be big enough for us
-
Yeovil were a horrible dirty hoof ball side that had no intent in the game except to stop us. The incident with Hamer though was not intentional.
We looked a totally different set of players tonight, playing with confidence and a higher level of skill than we’ve seen pretty much all season. The Branger/Nepomuceno combination on the left was unstoppable, where has that version of Branger been!!!
Great start and two more home games to go before a really tough test at Gigg Lane, still think we need to win the next two to get ourselves properly in the play off mix.

Gone within a month if our owner doesn’t change his ways

Very excited about the appointment
but...
It’s a disgrace that the EFL are allowing him to keep his shares in Salford.
It really is, I was fully expecting te EFL to say that he could keep them for now but if Salford are promoted he’d have to relinquish them

Didn't we have a spy on Furtherwood Road this morning to see if he left on the team bus? What do we pay these people for?
Oh, we don't pay them. As you were.
Maybe we could ask Leeds, they’ll know

Wasn’t that Chris Moore? Along with John Oster, Jason Mcateer and Craig Faulconbridge?
You could be right, I thought it was TTA though.... all I know is we didn’t sign any of them

Please could you ask Mr Blitz if he’s been bitten by the bug again after the Fulham experience?
If so, tell him to take that feeling when he was on the pitch in front of 5000 fans. Multiple that by 10 winning a play-off at Wembley/gaining promotion back to League 1. Multiple it by 100 if we did the same returning back to The Championship.
Only way to do it is strengthen the team and coaching/manager. You know it makes sense Mr Blitz; complete the job you started before throwing us to the likes of Corney now Lemsagam. Build it.... the fans will return.
Seriously - would you buy back the club and invest realistically into us becoming challengers again?!
I’ve posted previously that someone I know was talking to him in the OEC recently and asked him if he was interested in getting back involved. He said he definitely wasn’t.

So you're going to ask a question then...
I’d like someone to ask if they really did try to sign Patrik Berger when they first took over or is it just an OWTB “fact”

Surley this is only a problem if Scholes is seeking to retain his stake in Salford City. If he is, then matters could be reviewed further in the summer (should this become an issue) and Scholes should be offered a 6 month deal given his instance on this. I guess there is a reluctance on both sides for a 6 month deal and people are trying to have there cake and eat it , hence the issues for the FA and EFL (only my guess like).
That would certainly be a way forward, and let’s face it, he’ll probably be sacked in the summer anyway

I have to admit to being a little unclear as to what the real problem is. Scholes holds ten percent of the shares in Salford, and as a result cannot become an employee of Oldham without lengthy consultation and approval from EFL. Butt holds ten percent of the shares in Salford, but can be an employee of Man U, and from what little research l've been able to conduct, did not have to go through the process that is being demanded of Scholes, or if he did it was a matter of days.
Can't imagine why the difference.
Because we could be playing Salford in the league next season

Nothing in football lasts long these days.
I don't know how old you are or how long you have watched latics.
I have watched since 1976, Others longer than me.
Other than the Royle era and the odd cup upset its been pretty pants.
If you weren't witness to the Royle era i can tell you it was fantastic.
I feel for the younger fan and sort of understand were you are coming from.
So onto now, any chance of something big, we should grasp because it might be a long time before something similar comes along, if ever.
If it doesn't work, so what, at least we gave it a shot.
My Dad who’s been watching Latics since the 50’s told me during the ‘pinch me’ era to go and watch them everywhere because we’d been dreadful virtually all his life and it wouldn’t last
-
Simon Wood hasn’t been sacked, he’s not even employed by Oldham Athletic, he’s employed by the OEC. And his team still do the food for the OEC.
