  1. The Rev and Latics should work closer together and it looks like now we both will. I was on mobile at Swindon but we have now got some proper equipment to broadcast from grounds with, problem on saturday was that Swindon couldn't accommodate this so it was back to the mobile. Stu and Roy at Latics have helped me loads with the new stuff...

It's early days for the new Rev but I know Steve Penk and John the station manager are very keen to make it work as are Alan etc at the club... It will get better.. granted it's never going to be as good as being at the game but I know I'll give it my best shot as will all others concerned... as long as I never ever sound like Alan Green

weren't you a udders fan at school?

  2. He didn’t even achieve anything more with us than Shez has, and that was with far more resources. His promotion with Palace is his only real achievement as a manager. I’m amazed that he was even considered for the QPR job, but he’s one of the media friendly club who keep getting appointed to positions beyond their ability.

In terms of the football played the side we had when we missed out under Dowie was a better side than lost in the plat-offs under Sheridan, we deserved to go up that year, Sheridan though as done more on a limited budget and this side could do better than Dowies

  3. I hope we get to the third round minimum, draw some obscure non-league side away at some point and draw a Premier side and give them a good game before fully concentrating on winning the league!

First round draw is always good!

Non-league club away on a saturday, is the draw on telly?

  4. I didn't go last night but have been to the majority of games, I said before the season that i would like to see him got to number 2 - I agree that Crossley has beeen a great keeper for us and in games this year has looked good but he just makes to many mistakes, i can think of 5 goals off hand i would question his or not wether he should've kept them out, I like Crossley and think he can still do a job but Shez has got to put friendship aside and give fleming a chance, who's to say if our defensive performances had of been worse he could've made more mistakes, Im not jumping on any bandwaggon but i reckon a back seats needed for a bit

  5. Maybe you should clap slower then! The drummer did fine yesterday, people who decide to clap out of time with him aren't helping things at all. There have been loads of times this season where a song has started with plenty of backing and some have decided it would be much better if we sung it as fast as humanly possible. It normally ends with the vast majority stopping and the song dieing on it's arse. The 'Oh When the Blues' chant has been ruined by exactly this, what happened to a couple of seasons back when we could keep that going and going and going? I think it was Swindon away under talbot, we sung that solid for about 20 mins. We need to keep a steady pace and let it build. That's the reason 'sheridans blue and white army' generally works best out of all our songs.

was, sung all second half - quality... Johnson got the winner in the sun

  6. my dad got tickets for the do in the Clayton after the City game for his testimonial and made me go up to Roger and tell him what a legend he was, also managed to spill my buffett on Ian Marshall but most embarassingly as a 9/10 year old i didn't differenciate between a formal gathering and the Chaddy end and booed Paul Kane as he went up to get his season's medal at the presentation - resulted in a dead leg from an under the table dig off the old man

  7. 'tis Cambodia. Bit of a dispute between them and Thailand over whose land the temple is on. One or two shots fired, I believe, but not a proper war.... yet.

Not Ankhor Wot? I was there when the military coup happened, the coppers had big smiles on the faces, It seemed to be so simple. The only time I was worried about it was when I saw Mr Bush talking on the subject on CNN :Thailand:

  8. I did a quick double take when I saw the title of this thread. The word "temple" is a touchy one here at the moment. Not only is there a civil war, of sorts, raging but we are now also engaged in battle with a neighbouring country over a temple. I don't think that Mark Crossley is involved though ;)

It better not be those blasted burman's? I've heard that Crossley is not involved aswell and would be fully willing to give a statement to the thai police should it be necessary

  9. when he came to the club after Doncaster not offering him a contract I was scepticle he still had it, He was a revelation, in the the same team that contained Paul Reid and Stuart Thome he looked different class, he just used to stand in front of our own 18 yard box nonchalantly spreading balls with ease... Quality how he always made himself time and space naturally. Cant be denied that the best years of Shez were behind him when he signed but at our level, and especially with some of the dross we had around he still made the game look easy
