  1. The lookers option wouldn't be viable for just a couple of matches due to cost (2 matches at 1100 fans at average £13 per fan = £28,600). So the only 2 options would be to leave away fans in the small section of the RRE or put them in the paddock.

Strangely enough, it is probably easier to segregate if they were in the paddock as there is a big no mans land between the paddock and the RRE and then the segreation of the dugouts and tunnel between the 2 paddocks.

Having said that if we play the lashers next season, it would be nice payback to have them in the lookers on a typical January day.

If we played them on a november tuesday night, and even if the small section of the RRE was enough I am sure there would be enough people willing to contribute towards a temporary stand in the rain - I would, that one fixture alone

  2. I for one hope it is called off. Can't make it tomorrow but should be able to make a re-arranged game midweek.

So it's a very selfish  from me!

Kind of in the same boat, spent the majority of a months wages away with family last week and am debating whether to spend the very last of my money on train and in ticket?? purely for selfish reasons wouldn't mind early next month

  3. No. Chonburi is a large city about an hour south east of BKK. Koh Chang is in Trat province in the south east of Thailand. Maybe you're thinking of Chanthaburi? Or there is a much smaller island called Koh Si Chang which is a 40 minute ferry ride from where I live.

Thats the one, the Island was Ko Chang - you are a lucky chap, but you dont get to go to Tranmere tomorrow - swings and roundabouts. Hope you wear yellow on a monday

  4. Yes I do live in SriRacha. However, I think that you're confusing it with somewhere else. It's a port just south of Chonburi on the eastern seaboard. It is a great place, though. And I agree with your general comment about Thailand. :)

Is Chonburi the port you get to Ko Chang by? Rings a bell

  5. I used to live on Covert Road, Holts and was a caddy at the Golf Club. Picked whimberry on the golf course.

used to be able to find golf balls and swap 3 for a cone of chips from the chippy, early 90s holts.....beautiful...Still got me old ma on there but dont visit the plac that much, miss the 7 hour footy games during the summer holidays though

I travelled for 6 wks around there, loved every minute - Ko Chang has got to be the most beautiful place on the planet, up there with my view of the valley when i was a kid on Holts

  7. One that appears to get regularly sung incorrectlt in my view is:

Eee ii Eee ii Eee ii o

Up the football league we go (and not up the football, here we go)

    When we win promotion

    This is what we'll sing

    We are Oldham

    We are Oldham

    We are football Kings

Thnak you my friend, it riles me when i here "up the football ere we go" no sense - i eve emphasise it now like i a tit when i sing it

  8. Don't know if anyone remembers but i was a young football geek and the season we went down from the premiership we played sheff utd 3 or 4 games before end of season.... I remember them singing "oh when the blades" to the same tune but slower and with different parts of the stand singin it at different times, sounded class. why has our version gone to belting it out dead quickly twice?

  9. Football will be better when the middle class moaners finally :censored: off and leave us working class lads to watch the game.

Football is all about a bit of banter with the away fans.

Why did families get season tickets in that stand and why did u moaners get it in there when u know theres going to be alot of banter between home and away fans.

Agreed that some of the people who are moaning with season tickets next to the away fans are daft, It could have been said befor a ball was kicked what that section was going to be about.... and presumably some people got books there because of that, but now it appears only on their terms

In regards to the other 2 comments

Football is not like the rest of society... for 100 years it has been an escape from work, and the reality of life, it is a place where it is ok to swear and get heated - i do not behave in this manner the rest of the week

And i never said that by spending £20 you can behave as you want, there are limits but people are being thrown out and punished for very little......Where else do you spend £20 and then get spoke to like a piece of s***....... Its the football for f*** sake

  10. Youre starting to lose your argument here with this kinda stuff. So without swearing and standing will ruin your enjoyment? I hate missing a match personally.

It would ruin my enjoyment, I didn't go yesterday because i was away for the weekend but the stewards against Millwall were attrocious, if you pay £20 into a football match that should entitle you to be able to swear and stand up when necessary as long as you try and cause as little disruption to those not in the same mode - designated standing/singing section, problem solved

The games are about more than just the football, they are about having a beer, laugh and the banter...

The stewards at leeds(that i spoke to)were sound, they allowed us to move to the back so we could stand without causing an obstruction to people we were originall sat in front of and were obviously embaressed when the police came in and started to have a go at people for no raeson....

Every club in the country has a section at the back, in a corner that is filled with people standing and singing for 90 minutes, agreed that some of the songs are embaressing but every club in the country have a section of "chavs" as it's been put, fair play to them they are supporting the club - I dont want to stnad in the middle but have enjoyed standing at Rochdale and Leeds with little bother....

The club does need to create a section where its alright, I think it's a valid point that the way you are treated by stewads can affect your enjoyment

  11. retro style would be good, broad blue stripe with white on outside and half half sleeves, like the one form the 1910s/20s - made it on ISS and it looks superb - Thought about sending the designs to the club, then i got a grip - I'd buy one that was a bit different

  12. I know a fella that had a season ticket for 20 years that didn't renew because of the smoking ban at BP - this was before the official ban, this i know has put alot of people off, combined with 20 quid to get it just doesn't feel like going to the footy for alot of people, They need to offer designated smoking areas outside behind the stands - every time you have a tab you run the risk of being ejected which is a joke - not the main reason for poor attendances i know...but a factor

  13. Im a Bastard.....

Big boys of league one boasting of what a fantastic season they'll have, de ja vu..... by January it will be we want Bates, Mcallister, the tea lady or anyone else they can blame for their posible mediocrity, Im meeting my Leeds mate before the game tomorrow and it will be £27 well spent if i walk out of Elland Road to a swamp of disgruntled dirty leeds fans.....Horrible
