  1. Should be renamed 'The Leeds United Show'
  2. I thought that myself haha. I think it will be Byrne who gets the nod.
  3. League One Weekend Fixture Preview – 20th Sept 2008 Welcome to this week's edition of "League One Weekend Fixture Preview", previewing the League One action away from the Boundary Park camp. Carlisle United vs. Leeds United Carlisle will look to turn around last week's defeat against Scunthorpe when they host Leeds United, who come into this game winning their last two. Leeds United also knocked Carlisle out of last season's playoffs, which may add some spice to the game. Carlisle's Michael Bridges looks set to face his old club after he was declared fit for the fixture earlier this week. Jennison Myrie-Williams may also feature having arrived on loan from Bristol City earlier this week. Lubomir Michalik may return for Leeds having served his match suspension last week. Gary McAllister is still unsure who to select for the vacant left back position following Alan Sheehan's sending off last week. Youngster Aiden White, Andy Hughes and Ben Parker are likely contenders. Prediction: Carlisle 1-1 Leeds Hereford United vs. Scunthorpe United Scunthorpe travel to bottom-placed Hereford this weekend with both teams in search of points but for different reasons. Scunthorpe will be hoping for their fifth consecutive league win. Matt Sparrow, Martyn Woolford and Izzy Iriekpen will all want to feature having impressed from the bench last week. For Hereford, Andy Williams is a doubt having sustained an ankle injury last weekend. Karl Broadhurst returns to the fold from injury. Robbie Threlfall returned to Liverpool this week, whilst Moses Ashikodi and Jack Macleod are also major doubts. Prediction: Hereford 1-3 Scunthorpe Millwall vs. Cheltenham Town Cheltenham will look to repeat their midweek performance under new manager Martin Allen when they travel to Millwall this weekend. Millwall's Tresor Kandol will start a three match ban this week whilst Neil Harris has been ruled out by injury. This may force Kenny Jackett to reshuffle the pack playing Gary Alexander and Lewis Grabban upfront and bringing in Ahmet Brkovic and Karl Moore to midfield. Drissa Diallo may feature for Cheltenham having arrived on loan from MK Dons this week. Damian Spencer may make his first appearance this season having recovered from injury. Dean Sinclair returned to Charlton concluding his loan this week. Prediction: Millwall 2-1 Cheltenham Leyton Orient vs. Leicester City Leicester City will hope to bounce back from last week's defeat as they travel to Leyton Orient. Kerry Gilbert looks set to return for the foxes. Patrick Kisnorbo may also feature now he is back in full training. Stephen Clemence, Joe Mattock and Ashley Chambers all remain out. Dean Morgan looks set to make his first appearance for Orient. JJ Melligan is also available for selection having recovered from his injury sustained last week. Wayne Gray still remains on the sidelines whilst Saturday looks too soon for Simon Dawkins, Tamika Mkandawire and Danny Granville. Prediction: Orient 0-1 Leicester Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Walsall Walsall make the long trip to Brighton this week as they hope to add more points to the board. Brighton hit-man Danny Forster is a strong doubt, with Gary Hart, Jonny Dixon and Adam Virgo all looking to fill his boots. Joe Anyinsah and Colin Hawkins miss out through suspension and injury respectively, whilst Jake Robinson returns to the fold. Walsall's Anthony Gerrard and Stephen Hughes have been passed fit. Otherwise, boss Jimmy Mullen has a fully fit squad to select from this weekend. Prediction: Brighton 1-0 Walsall Colchester United vs. MK Dons Recently-relegated Colchester host newly-promoted MK Dons this weekend, with both teams looking to bounce back from their respective defeats last week. Colchester will welcome Matt Lockwood back to the squad, returning from injury. Steven Gillespie starts a three game suspension, with Sunday Wasiu hoping to take his place after performing well in the reserves. MK's Ali Gerba will hope to make his debut this weekend with work permit formalities now completed. Kevin Gallen is also available for selection, providing Roberto Di Matteo more options up front. Donal McDermott may start after impressing from the bench last week. Danny Swailes, Florian Sturm and Luke Howell are all out. Prediction: Colchester 1-2 MK Dons Stockport County vs. Swindon Town As Swindon travel north to face Stockport, they will hope to bounce back from last weeks loss against Leeds United. Stockport's Carl Baker should return to first team action this week from injury. Matty McNeil and Jason Taylor remain sidelined through injury. Swindon boss Maurice Malpas said changes will definitely be made for this game. Goalkeeper Peter Brezovan and Patrick Kanyuka may return from injury for Swindon. Bradley Corr may also feature along with Chris Allen and Michael Pook, who impressed in reserve action. Prediction: Stockport 1-1 Swindon Peterborough United vs. Tranmere Rovers Peterborough will look to improve on their inconsistent start in League One when they host Tranmere. Aaron Mclean remains sidelined through injury for The Posh. Shane Blackett is also out through injury. Dean Keates and Sergio Torres are major doubts for Peterborough. Ronnie Moore has a full squad at his disposal for Tranmere's visit to Peterborough. Gareth Edds and Godwin Antwi are back to full fitness but Ryan Shotton's recent performances may keep them on the bench. Prediction: Peterborough 1-2 Tranmere Crewe Alexandra vs. Southend United Both Crewe and Southend will hope to repeat their respective wins last week, having previously been on a run of consecutive league defeats. Crewe have pretty much a full strength side to choose from. Chris McCready and Adam Legzdins remain injured and unavailable to play against Southend. Southend's Ian Joyce looks set to make his professional debut replacing Steve Mildenhall, who is out for a minimum of four weeks through injury. Alan McCormack is still out through injury. Prediction: Crewe 1-0 Southend Huddersfield Town vs. Northampton Town Huddersfield Town will hope to rectify their dismal start to this year's League One campaign when they host Northampton. Huddersfield boss Stan Ternant has injury doubts over captain Chris Lucketti and Danny Cadamarteri. Tom Clarke will definitely miss out, but Andy Booth may return to action. For Northampton, Adebayo Akinfenwa will be pushing for a starting place this week. Jason Crowe and Liam Davies return from suspension and injury respectively, but Chris Doig is doubtful. Prediction: Huddersfield 1-1 Northampton Yeovil Town vs. Bristol Rovers Bristol Rovers will hope to turn around their previous three consecutive league defeats with a win when they visit Yeovil. Russell Slade has a near fully fit side available for Yeovil. Darren Way looks set to return this week after a virus kept him out last week, whilst Lee Peltier should also be fit. Marc Bircham, Aidan Downes and Nathan Smith all returned to full training and may feature. Bristol's leading hit-man Rickie Lambert should recover in time for this weekend's game. Jeff Hughes is doubtful, but Ryan Green and Danny Coles successfully returned to action during the week. Prediction: Yeovil 1-0 Bristol
  4. Just had a listen to it now. Chris Taylor is featured on the first episode talking about how he grew up supporting Oldham. Worth a download. Chris is on about 15mins in.
  5. Yeah if your in a group you may aswell go to the ticket office. We did this on saturday before the game and they sorted us out there and then with no problem. Only downside on the situation is that non-season ticket holders can't sit in there.
  6. Launches this thursday. http://www.oldhamathletic.premiumtv.co.uk/...1394531,00.html Think its a good idea to be honest considering many podcasts out there concentrate on the top flight only!
  7. Defenders who after every goal, even when they know they are in the wrong and by a mile it was a fair goal, who look to the linesman.
  8. Yeah i agree with the disallowedstoke goal. On one angle it did look like the player just tripped, but from the other contact was definitely made. What annoyed me about the penalty one was that he clearly bottled it.
  9. I'd say its there best since the black album.
  10. I'm pleased to announce that the latest of our new features to OWTB has been published this afternoon. Our new and regular 'League one weekend preview' article will be appearing on the OWTB Portal, previewing the weekend's match action from the rest of league one. 11. League One Weekend Fixture Preview – 12th & 13th Sept 2008 Welcome to the first edition of 'League One Weekend Fixture Preview'. Each week, I shall preview the remaining League One fixtures away from the action at Boundary Park. Scunthorpe United vs. Carlisle United Scunthorpe host Carlisle at Glanford Park in what could be a tight fixture with both teams on a run of straight league wins. Rather than injury worries, Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins faces a selection headache whether or not to pick the same team that beat Brighton last week or include Izzy Iriekpen and Kevan Hurst who missed last weeks fixture through injury and family bereavement respectively. Andy Crosby, Joe Wilcox and Kenny Milne look set to miss. For Carlisle, striker Michael Bridges is out with a hamstring injury. Scott Dobie, who has served a 3 match suspension from his sending off against Leyton Orient in August, may also return for Greg Abbott’s team. Prediction: Scunthorpe 2-2 Carlisle Leicester City vs. Millwall From an international break last week, Leicester will aim to keep pace with Oldham and get back to their winning ways. Leicester’s major injury worry is of Bulgarian international Alex Tunchev, but Nigel Pearson is full of confidence the defender will pull through. Despite Patrick Kisborno now back in training after a long injury layoff, he looks set to miss along with Stephen Clemence, Joe Mattock and Ashley Chambers. For Millwall, Kenny Jackett looks set to recall Tresor Kandol, with Chris Hackett and Neil Harris available. Marc Laird and Danny Miller are doubtful for the Lions. Prediction: Leicester 2-0 Millwall Swindon Town vs. Leeds United Swindon host a tough fixture against Leeds in what will be a testing match for The Robins. Swindon look set to be without the services of three players. Jamie Vincent, Kasali Yinka Casal and Pat Kanyuka are all out. Swindon’s Barry Corr may make a return from the subs bench from a six month injury spell. Gary McCallister admits he has plenty of healthy competition to choose for Leeds as they visit The County Ground. Slovakian defender Lubo Michalik will serve a one match suspension, meaning either Paul Huntington or Rui Marques look set to stake their claim for the vacant central defence slot. Prediction: Swindon 1-2 Leeds Yeovil Town vs. Brighton & Hove Albion Yeovil will look to bounce back from losing their previous two league matches whilst Brighton will also look to reprieve last weeks hammering from Scunthorpe. Yeovil have doubts over Nathan Smith and Darren Way, with Aidan Downes definitely missing the fixture. For Brighton, influential midfielder Kevin McLeod and Jake Robinson look set to miss. Joe Anyinsah joined Brighton on a one month loan earlier this week and will be included. Defender Colin Hawkins may feature after a late fitness test. Prediction: Yeovil 1-1 Brighton Leyton Orient vs. Stockport County Stockport return to action after a weeks rest whilst Leyton Orient hope to add another three points to the board. Orient have a plethora of injury worries. Danny Granville, Tamika Mkandawire, Solomon Shields, Wayne Gray, Dean Morgan and Simon Dawkins are all doubts. For Stockport, Owain fon Williams, Stephen Gleeson and Peter Thompson all return from representing their nations. Jim Gannon is also faced with injury worries over Johnny Mullins, Matty McNeil and Carl Baker, but Tommy Rowe and Dominic Blizzard look set to return. Prediction: Orient 1-0 Stockport Bristol Rovers vs. Walsall Both teams will look to improve their respective defeats last week. For Bristol Rovers, Ricky Lambert will look set to further improve his scoring record, having scored in every league game for Bristol. Jo Kuffour looks set to make his debut. Danny Coles and Ryan Green also return from injury. Walsall will carry out late fitness tests over Stephen Hughes and Dwayne Mattis. Rhys Weston, Sofiene Zaaboub and Alex Nicholls return to first team action having successfully completed a mid week reserve game. Prediction: Bristol 1-1 Walsall Northampton Town vs. Peterborough United Whilst Northampton return to league action this week, Peterborough will look to maintain their attacking record but improve their defensive counterpart from last week’s 5-4 victory over Bristol Rovers. Northampton have no injury worries for this fixture with a fully fit squad at Stuart Gray’s disposal. Karl Hawley, who signed on a one month loan from Preston, may feature. Ryan Gilligan and Adebayo Akinfenwa also return to action. For Peterborough, Darren Ferguson has given the nod to striker Scott Rendell to partner Craig Mackail-Smith up front in Aaron McLeans absence. Gabriel Zakuani, who arrived on loan for three months from Fulham, may also feature. Prediction: Northampton 0-1 Peterborough Huddersfield Town vs. Tranmere Rovers Huddersfield will look set to continue last weekend’s winning ways whilst Tranmere will hope to bounce back from defeat. Huddersfield have a near fully fit squad to choose from but are without strikers Danny Cadamarteri and Andy Booth. Andy Butler returns from injury and James Berrett returns from international duty. Tranmere look set to recall Ian Goodison to their back four. Gareth Edds and Craig Curran are both doubtful. Prediciton: Huddersfield 2-1 Tranmere Hartlepool United vs. Cheltenham Town (Friday Evening) Hartlepool and Cheltenham will both look to rectify their inconsistent starts to League One. Hartlepool have fitness worries surrounding numerous players. Defender Michael Nelson is out after suffering a knock last week against Millwall, along with Willie Boland and Ritchie Jones. Despite Ben Clark returning to full training, he also looks doubtful for Friday evening’s fixture. Bottom-placed Cheltenham on the other hand travel to Hartlepool with a near fully fit squad to choose from. Despite long-term injuries to John Finnigan and Damien Spencer, Shane Duff and Paul Connor return to the fold. Barry Hayles looks set to feature once again having agreed a one month loan extension from Leicester City. Predicition: Hartlepool 2 – 0 Cheltenham Crewe Alexandra vs. Colchester United Crewe and Colchester will both look to improve their disappointing starts this season at Gresty Road. Crewe are relatively injury free going into this fixture. Michael O’Connor returns after missing the Leeds fixture whilst away with his national side. Stephen Gillespie looks set to return for Colchester along with Paul Reid, who is now fully fit after last week’s rest for The U’s. Chris Coyne and Medy Elito return from international duties, however, Elito is doubtful after picking up an injury on his travels. Prediciton: Crewe 0-1 Colchester Southend United vs. Hereford United Southend and Hereford have made identical starts to League One, both losing three, drawing one and winning one. Southend’s Steve Tilson will look to take advantage his midfield options available. Franck Moussa returns from suspension whilst Lee Sawyer returns from injury. Alan McCormack is still absent, but youngster Damian Scannell is hoping to feature after impressing in the reserves. Hereford have numerous injury doubts over this fixture in Robbie Threlfall, Jack Macleod, Moses Ashikodi and Andy Williams. Despite taking their first points of the season in the last two games, they will look to improve this tally. Prediction: Southend 2-1 Hereford That’s it for this weekend’s preview. From an Oldham perspective, it would be nice if Scunthorpe can continue their league form of three straight wins into the Carlisle game and that Millwall pull off a surprise victory against Leicester. Feel free to leave any comments and feedback and thank you for reading!
  12. Definitely worth it! Where did you see them live out of interest? over the Leeds/Reading weekend? I think Live they have only played Cyanide and The Day That Never Comes so it was probs either of those? Im hoping for a few northern UK dates in the near future!
  13. Id rather the league championship parade!
  14. Thats excellent! Good to hear a positive outcome!
  15. I think the sound of the new album is great, especially the drumming and solos which i thought lacked in St. Anger. Personally, I don't think its beter than the Black Album, but in my eyes its certainly their best since their late 80's early 90s material.
  16. Remember reading posts from a few metal latics fans a while ago. Just wandering if anyone has heard the new Metallica album yet? Quality record! Much better from the previous St. Anger and probably their best since the black album!
  17. Has featured but as mentioned above, the Maher/Allott partnership doesn't work as well as Whittaker/Allott. Seems good from what i've seen though.
  18. Yep just noticed the score. Good win for them.
  19. A difference ronnie between a long ball and a long pass
