The top of the main stand is to be renervated. All the old seats are to be ripped at for the start of our first home game, with traditonal plastic seats. Anyone heard anything? and what do people who sit up there think good move or bad move, did u only sit there for the traditonal side of things??
Can only be a good thing if its true. Had a season ticket last season up there but sat in the Paddock for most of the year. Now just to get rid of the moaning sods

Looks OK, but hopefully the quality isn't as bad as the new home kit.

Sheffield Wednesday Given Winding Up Order no more owls?

I've merged the existing 2009/2010 thread with the 2010/2011 thread in here which was created within the past week and pinned it. Just so it doesn't get lost in the other messages and makes it easier for people to find the codes and join the league.

I can't remember Blayney doing anything well at Oldham...
-
For me, I'm just liking a "feel good" factor about the club again. Rather than having to drag myself there, I'm actually looking forward to going

Le-e-et's do the Time Warp again!
Changed the title now from the initial 2010/2001..

I thought the Gazza story had to be a spoof but apparently not. He's turned up with a few cans and a fishing rod. He clearly sees this ending a lot better than anyone else does!
Don't forget the Cooked Chicken he brought too

Ha! I said this to a mate today! Apparently there's a 10k reward for info relating to his capture, is that all? Some friggin' loon who's bristing with carving knives, firearms and maxed out on juice is somehow equivalent to nothing more than paying off the bloody conservatory and the PVC windows? Ballerks to that. Find him yerself.
However, hang a bounty of say - oh, I don't know - clemency perhaps on his head? Let the thugs go after the thugs! They could even televise it! It'll be like Manhunter, fckin aces! You can shove yer Big Brother up yer gay arses, I wanna see Manhunter on TV right now.
I wish I was in control of the telly, I'd transform the Isle of Man into one big fenced in arena with patrol dogs and gun turrets. Battle Royale would be on every sodding night.
I'll do it one day, just you wait and see, I've already got the dogs...

It's a wonder they have backed us for so long, no one can sustain losses on the scale they have forever. Personally I can only thank them for their backing and wish them luck....
Now it would appear the hard times are back and we as fans are just gong to accept whatever is left... here or in Failsworth.
Thanks as well must go to Simon Corney, not sure how long he can continue to support us and can only hope for his sake there is some help out there in he form of another investor.
Let's hope there is!
I actually don't blame them in the slightest.

Just wondering please does anyone know if Paul Bulter will attend the dickov fans forum the new scount off oldham because i like to meet him and meet the new backroom staff please someone help cheers.
Give him time to get his feet under the table. He's only just joined..
-
woooo he got two jobs i think he wante more cash in good luck to him glad he is back at oldham.
I would imagine its more the fact the club want to save the pennies don't want to pay out for a GK Coach on a full-time basis as we did last year.
-
good , just 23 players to get rid of now
I'm actually not to bothered about him staying, provided he now starts to build a younger squad for 2012.
-
..Onwards and upwards?..
-
yes your right he will no longer play because he said to me today brill and fleming will get games this season he loves the coaching role he said hes happy to have the job at oldham.
Taggert is num 2 he been at oldham since monday he will be confimed soon.
He's been at Oldham for a while before then by accounts...
-
Will he be used as a reserver keeper or just as coach?
Just as a coach. Says in the article that he has retired from playing this summer.
-
I can't say I'm bothered who we play in the last 16. To be the best, we have to beat the best. Much better performance today too which will no doubt give the players more confidence.
-
It's common knowledge, there an interview with Newton in the local Staffordshire paper.
Was mentioned on SSN too.
-
According to SSN, an England fan got into the dressing room. I hope he told them what a nation is thinking.
-
No, that's idiotic. If they pull their fingers out and Capello drops the players that need to be dropped, i'm right behind them, but i'm not holding my breathe.
I agree. I'm right behind them if he drops a few of the untouchables. And I'd love to see us win with the likes of Rooney, Lampard et al. on the touchlines with their subs bibs on.
-
Can't believe I just sat through that. For what it's worth I thought James did well, Wright-Phillips had a bit of a go, Defoe livened us up and that's it. Rooney was a disgrace, threw his toys out the pram and if I saw anyone in a Latics shirt look as disinterested as he did in that second half I wouldn't expect to see them in the shirt again (esp after his rant to the camera). I will wake up in a cold sweat tonight with images of Heskey trying to throw stepovers, Johnson looks hefty and I don't think I saw Ashley Cole in position once.
I'm not sure what Joe Cole has done wrong but he is our one and only technically world class player. Add that to the fact that bringing him in for Heskey allows for a bit more movement in midfield and he has to start the next game.
-
I hope he drops many of the big names who played poor tonight and give their places to some of the others...
As for Rooney, what a pillock..
-
Well I would have liked Sheffield Weds at Home not to be a night match....
