Pele has been excellent for me. Topp and Mifsud very inconsistent. Jose Baxter on loan from Everton is one of my best signings to date; also snapped up a few promising youngsters (Grimaudo, Pulido, Maniesa). Not an easy game to keep winning at, though!

Mifsud was excellent in my Oldham game. Helped me gain promotion in the first season, but he went off the boil when I was in the Championship.

Just a quick note for any people who play this, the January Transfer Update patch (10.3) came out today.

Just over 12 months ago we were promotion contenders, now relegation is staring us in the face.........beggars belief!

Its still cringeworthy to a point watching one of Pawel Abbott's first interviews.

It more worries me how this was our initial aim of the season, and how we are where we are now.

However I'm not worried about relegation yet. I will worry if we get sod all out of the next bunch of games, which if we are going to stay up, must happen. We was always going to get sod all out of Leeds and Norwich, which is why the recent strengthened resurgence of "penney out" on the back of these games beggars belief to an extent..

Our last five have seen 4 losses, we now need 4 wins against that lot. Crucial part of the season. We mess this up and we really are in trouble.

 

It's also crucial towards Penney's future. If we're still in the bottom 4 after these games, he goes for me.

The thing being, a new manager would require time. If he was to go, it would have to be sooner rather than later, and it's something I can't see happenning.

Going to stick my neck out here and quite frankly i don't give a f/took After watching my struggling team compete, battle and at times, outplay a very strong top of the table team, who (Norwich) worked harder than any other team you will see again this season at BP, I hear the piss-pots in the stands shouting we want Penney out, makes me feckin sick tbh.

Get a grip and drink 3 pints less you tools - it's going to be hard enough as it is this season, without mindless, beer driven, emotional, uninformed chants!!

Another 12/18 months and given the chance, I hope those chants are shoved right back up your arse' with plenty of interest.

Why should he? He's pretty spot on to be honest.

 

Norwich have steamrollered their way to the top of the division, beating more or less every team on the way there. We put a good, battling performance up and were only undone by our lack of killer instinct and Norwich taking one of the only chances they had their way.

 

If it was Stockport, or Orient we lost to then you may have a point. But we were up against a side who have 4 or 5 times the resources we have to our disposal and more than matched them all afternoon. Certainly not a game we should be asking for the head of the manager on a plate anyway.

As a latic fan just come back from the leeds game can you lot end this pain for oldham and please please sack Dave Penney and bring in a manager till the end of the season or get someone in to help clueless Penney.

 

I am upset tonight and this is the worst oldham side i have seen.

We lost to one of the best teams in the league... . As a struggling league one team (which is what we are), the most we could have hoped for was a draw at a push tonight.

Their privacy should be respected, simply because it's just not newsworthy.

As a club, they deserve what they get. To have all that income and watch it go down the drain is just down to ridiculously bad management.

Its the fans I feel for more than the club itself, but it will certainly be an eye opener for the future.
