  1. After you hit him he said to me "I wouldnt mind, it wasnt even a hard punch" to which i replied "Yeah, but to be fair he did crack you over someones shoulder and its a good job, cause if he hit you full belt you wouldnt be stood talking about it". He laughed but had a bit of a smacked schoolboy look on his face.

He thought he was funny when he kept telling me i was a spitting image for Darren Ferguson. Not heard that one before have i? <_<

  2. It's all right mate, i was only joking.

Yep, it certainly was raining on Saturday, it took me 5 hours to dry out (and i dont mean alcohol wise).

My dad asked me why i didnt stay in the stand and stay dry, i explained it was because you cant not stand at the front to join in with an atmosphere like that, it was amazing to see and hear from the pitch. Lets hope it is the same tomorrow night.

  3. "Baby when the lights go out.............."

Least the pumps were still on. Some people got a little childish in the dark, nicking people's pints off tables and sitting back and watching them bicker with the person next to them where there pint had gone. <_<

Good day overall. Last I can remember is being in the Grey Horse, getting a lift off chaddy and his missus - she saw a bus so raced infront of it. I didnt even think to look at where it went on the front and just jumped on. Ended up in Shaw being told this was the last stop. Ended up having to pay a £15 taxi home. Must have put it as time and a half seeing as I couldnt even see straight.

Least I wasnt as bad as Sav. :nnnng::shifty:

    :lol::grin::lol:

That has just brightened up my day mate.

As we overtook the bus i asked you if the 408 bus was the one you needed to get. You just looked at me puzzled and jumped out the car and jumped straight on the bus.

  4. Not impressed.

We might as well have stuck with Alessandra and Smalley, or even play Allott up front. Why bring in another 20 year old? Just how is he going to bring more to the squad than what we have already? I really can't get my head around the logic.

I know Sheridan turned down the offer of experience because of a desire for a longer contract and I respect that fact. But could we please be told who it was that he turned down!

The only plus point is, that this lad may score on his debut, being an unknown quantity to the opposition. If that gets us three points, then great, but it's hardly a solution, is it? Good luck to him, as he is pulling on the blue shirt and deserves our support.

Just because he is 20 doesnt make him similar to Smalley or Alessandra does it.

I can think of plenty of 20 year olds that any of you would have in the team at the drop of a hat. Rooney would walk into any team at 20, so would Micheal Owen and Scholesy. Lets see what he can do first.

I have full faith in Shez that this lad can do the business. When im proved wrong i will hold my hands up and admit i was wrong to be optomistic about it.

Lets wait until after tongiths game and see eh?

  5. I am looking to have the Latics badge done on my leg but in a 3D effect. I wanted Louis to do it so i rang up. Looks like ive got to wait until next February to get in to see him as thats his next available spot.

His pricing was very reasonable though which did suprise me.

I have had Tat's done by Wes though in the past and he was very good. I just fancied a change.

  6. Im afraid i have to disagree about Dave Roberts.

I damaged my ankle ligaments about 18 months ago playing football. I went to see a physio at David Roberts. He basically took over £150 off me over a month or two to sit on a bench and have some heat treatment on it. When i was told it was now ok i tried playing on it and it went almost straight away. I was really annoyed as i was struggling to "do the chaddy thing" with such pain. I spoke to Alan Hardy and he told me to go and see Anthony Greenhouse (Reserve's physio). He explained everything to me on how it was damaged, he gave me physio, told me exactly what i should be doing whilst not at physio, and within 3 weeks my ankle was as right as rain, and ive not had one single problem with it since.

Not only that, i went to David Roberts about a groin problem. I was told it was a double hernia and i should get in to see my doctor straight away to get it repaired. I went for a second opinion, only to be told it was a groin strain. Within 2 weeks it was back to normal.

Needless to say i wont go to them anymore.

*Although i have to admit that David himself and one of the guys from the Middleton office are very good, but i cant see them coming to us with the amount of money they can be making from a personal practice.

  7. Was that midweek between Xmas & New Year a few years ago? We, the now-disbanded 'official' message board "clique", went on the pish instead and SC was in the Litten Tree. So he was "treated" to our well wishes and an slightly inebriated, yet emotional (and a bit overdue) "Thanks for saving my club" from me...

But he never bought that pint he promised me when he came to this part of the US though... Wonder why not?!?

I actually found that picture the other day on my computer. I will attempt to put it on here tonight. SC looks absolutely terrified of Chickers on that photo. The fact that he had bought a bottle of chapagne for him and his "lady friend" and Chcikers goes over and asked if he could have it was bizarre. Top night.

  8. "But i also pointed out that if he does get on and score he cant celebrate to which he replied "I would never disrespect Oldham like that". I pointed out that ex players always score past us to which he replied "My heart is still with Oldham so i dont consider myself an ex player".

Chaddy, Did you feel a dejavu moment. Word for word that is the exact same conversation you had with Warne a month ago

Serious though I will be clapping Warne and hope he gets a good reception....

Sorry, your right, that was the conversation we had last month, this week we had a chat about how he has been getting on, and talked about the fact his kids are coming up to see me as they dont like Yeovils mascot. His son was my biggest fan last season

  9. Just wondering what the reaction will be to him tomorrow?

After being on the phone to him a bit over the past week he is gutted that he wont be starting tomorrows game. He is bringing all the family up to watch the game and he is really looking forward to coming back and seeing everyone.

I told him that i thought he would get a very good reception after last season. But i also pointed out that if he does get on and score he cant celebrate to which he replied "I would never disrespect Oldham like that". I pointed out that ex players always score past us to which he replied "My heart is still with Oldham so i dont consider myself an ex player".

I hope he gets a great reception when he comes out tomorrow, but what is everyone elses view on it?
