  1. We were on the whole pretty poor overall today, and yes they looked a decent side and played some good football, and had that identity within their game which ST has said he wants us to have, but they created very little in the final third, with Hudson not having to make any saves of note that I remember. We created as many clear cut chances as them.
I don’t buy this “we’re a million miles off it” bollocks. The gaps are clear for all to see…. Fill those 2 gaps, and fill them well, and we’ll be challenging, and I think we’ll challenge even with our current squad.

    Previously done bird for fraud.

    Messed Ilkeston about.

Tried (and failed) to cut a deal with Steve Dale to buy Bury.

Made even more of a mess of Scunny and has now pulled the plug and dropped them right in the shit.

    Sounds like a diamond geezer.

All public knowledge, but yet able to still buy Scunny. Unbelievable.

    I hear you Dan.

Im probably rolling two points into one.

Should there be perk for away tickets when buying a season ticket- yeah probably.

I was reacting to the ‘whose the more deserving’

I work Tuesday evenings and some Saturdays, so I never feel I can justify the upfront cost. Having said that, I’d say I get to ten games at full potd price, so I’m contributing £240 which isn’t far off a season ticket anyway. (Maybe I need to rethink my rational on that😂

It’s a fine line and see both sides of the argument in fairness, thats why I would never say i’m more of a fan than anyone else, as i’m lucky I can make Sat and Tues games, both home and away, but then in your instance you actually spend more money over a season going to 10-15 home games and paying on the gate etc.

I agree the club could have given more or bigger notice of the fixture as they know demand will be massive.

However, are you more deserving/more of fan because you’re going to Wealdstone and have a season ticket??? Similarly I don’t believe for one second there will be any day trippers there, seeing as the absolute hard core is 3k then add in Frank arrivals and you have circa 7000 people wanting 3000 tickets.

I’ve got to be honest here, but my opinion is yes in this instance you are more deserving of a ticket for the higher profile games if you have a ST. I’m not saying i’d class them as more of a fan no, as everyone has different circumstances as to why they wouldn’t be able to go to the far away games or pay up front for a ST, but it’s always been a perk of buying a ST in the 23 years i’ve been going, and rightly so.

Is this a new owner who's saved them from the previous bad owner? As in bought them 3 months ago or so? Mental

Yes, previous owner of Ilkeston by all accounts, whose fans warned of him being dodgy. Someone really needs to start being held accountable for the checks on who can buy football clubs.

Forced to leave Glanford park..      They are trapped in a nightmare situation.

Madness. They’ve announced a ground share with another club, and said other club have now just released a statement saying no such agreement is in place. What a mess.

Shitsticks. Ridiculous no ST priority then.

I'll start - anyone got a couple of spares?

Yeah I think they’ve dropped a bollock there not giving priority to ST holders. I think similarly to me, they didn’t think it’d sell out and be as popular as it has been, and definitely not this fast.
My brother has a ST and he’s going with 4 of his mates who never go, so loads of fans going who don’t go often i’d imagine.

No tickets showing. I assume not all blocks were put on sale. It can't have sold out in this time.

It’s sold out. Definitely 6 of the 7 blocks have at some point been on sale and all now gone. The 1 block not on sale seems to be segregation, as the stand holds 3600 and they gave us 3100.

Only just seen the announcement and all tickets are gone. Seems a low number and not much notice from the club. Not impressed

They only opened 3 blocks, which look to be sold. There are still 3 blocks left to open yet so don’t worry.
Our away following is decent, but no way we sold 3100+ in 45 mins.

  10. Surprised not more mention of this, but Willoughby was excellent when he came on, covered every blade if grass in the 20 mins he was on.
Hobson is unbelievable at this level. Class signing for us, and a real class above any centre half i’ve seen this season. Hogan was also excellent tonight, and they dealt with their long balls on the whole very well. Surprised how often we let them cross the ball.

Lots of work still to do, but 3 in 3, can’t argue with that.

Think I heard someone say the crowd was announced as 550 away fans, which is excellent. Decent noise at times as well. Hopefully 400+ travel down to Wealdstone now to try and make it 4 out of 4, although we’ll have to be much better.

See my previous post about parking past the ground down Hoo Rd. Park up there and walk down the hill and you'll see the Viaduct. Not the best pub but the nearest to that side of the ground.

Walk back to the ground and carry on to the King & Castle, Railway Bell etc. K&C is the better one.

Good luck walking from B&Q in 5 minutes. It might look to be near the ground but it's not.

Thanks, I’ll give your suggestion a go 1st, and then use B&Q as back up. Only £2 lost if your suggestion still has spaces left.

Best place to park and suitable near by pubs please chaps?

I’ve read parking is a pain in the arse at the ground and it’s permit holders in the surrounding areas. I have however found parking via a app called “yourparkingspace” where i’ve paid £2 to park in B&Q which is literally 5 mins walk. I’ve used the app loads for away games, and it’s all good.

Have you seen some of the shit going on there... Fighting over who owns what, banning orders left right and centre, protests (all sounds a bit familiar) and leaked text messages from the owner with derogatory comments on the fans and basically saying he'll take the club under!

Think the texts were proved to be bollocks in the end, but the rest is a complete shit show and very familiar to what we had previously. Hopefully they find their Frank. Another case of an owner being allowed to buy a club and then running it in to the ground.
