It doesn't matter what's greyed out it's whether they turn up.

I’m sure they’ll be a few who buy tickets and don’t show, but surely there won’t be too many who do that. Why would you go out of your way to buy a ticket with no intention of going? If it was just to donate then surely it’d be just as easy to go to the go fund me page to do that.

Yes it says you can buy them for there. Basically everywhere apart from where the away fans are put in the paddock.

I don’t think you can buy in there now, they have all been greyed out as far as I can see. They were definitely available to purchase in there yesterday, and I find it hard to believe we’ve sold them all as nowhere else is sold out etc. Maybe we’ll have to give the stand to Kidderminster as they have nearly sold out the paddock.

£1 entrance for everybody including away fans but it’s ticket only!

No pay on the day🤷‍♂️ I think they’ve dropped a bollock there!!

I don’t. Gives us an idea of demand and how many will be in the stadium in advance. Also gives us the option to change it if uptake isn’t good.

  4. Just back after another long day on the road. Times and games like that where I really do question my sanity travelling all that way for an evening game that is on TV. Absolute rubbish game to watch, and no idea what the tactics were in that game to get on top of and try and dominate a team in the relegation places. Sadly we’ve seen it time and again though, so no major surprise.

I have faith MM is the right man and will get it right, but I have to question some of the decisions around recruitment and tactics here. It’s plain for all to see that we are horrific in Midfield. Conlon is an improvement, even though he’s been pretty poor himself since his great debut, but when you still have to pick Lundstram and Sheron in a midfield your never going to be able to control a game. Lundstram for me has been a huge huge let down. I’m hoping MM sees this and we’ve just not been able to sign any improvements in that position, but maybe thats just wishful thinking.
Not sure why we’ve signed Walker, who I think has done well in his appearances. He travelled with the squad and was involved with the warm ups, along with Ward.
Not sure why Green came on either. He put him at RWB, and he was completely ineffective.
McGahey is McGahey, very very limited, and surely in his last season with us. Raglan and Hudson excellent, and defensively Hobson is as good as it gets at this level, apart from hoofing it at every opportunity.
I’ve been critical of Hogan in his spell with us, but he’s been good this last few months, and I think we’ve missed him in these last 2 games. Not saying that’s why we’ve only picked up 1 point, because he’s been missing, but he’s a massive upgrade on McGahey. Speaking of Hogan, some Latics fans need to give their heads a wobble. Abusing a player at FT who hasn’t even played and been involved. Don’t care if it’s the club captain, it was out of order full stop. I’ve seen some comments around the lines of he shouldn’t be doing other jobs and getting paid for them when he’s banned from his club. I’m sure he’d rather be out there, and he’s said himself, thats how he’ll always play, on the edge, where bookings are part and parcel of his game.
Oh and there were more than 260 of us there too!!! They didn’t even both scanning any of our tickets.
On to Maidenhead, tickets purchased, and hopefully 2 weeks from now not questioning my sanity.

I got slaughtered on here for saying Green is shit. Granted he’d just scored a worldie away to Kidderminster, but my point stood.

Hes fast and that’s it. Doesn’t have a footballers brain. May as well stick a pet greyhound on the wing.

I also got pelters for it. I said months ago that players like Green are ten a penny at this level and I stand by it. I don’t think he gets in any of the top 7 teams.

Co-habiting, I'm not sure if one is the other's landlord or what but they live in the same flat.

They don’t. He answered this in one of his live chat things. They used to, but they live in separate apartment blocks in Manchester City Centre these days.

I just don’t see this shift to a 433 and confused how Dallas and Walker fit in to be honest.

The team seems even more like a scatter gun approach to me at this point.

How do we fit in, Norwood, Garner, Dallas, Fondop, Walker, Green, Reid.

Then we have Kurt, Tollitt, Nuttall, Shelton, Ward, Dickinson. All surplus to requirements.

We don’t need to fit in Reid or Green but I get your points otherwise. I’d be surprised if both featured much at all for the rest of the season.

  8. Chadderton FC have announced free admission for their home game on Saturday, 3pm kick off. They will instead be taking donations for Frank’s row across the Atlantic. A great gesture by them, and with us having a late kick off, hopefully a few latics fans will attend.

You mention 4-3-3 a lot, but hasn't Mellon mentioned he thinks we are more suited to 3-5-2...?

He mentioned that before we made any signings to be fair. Presumably if he doesn’t want to play 3-5-2 long term then his signings to date would allow for a switch to his preferred formation at some point. What his preferred formation is I do not know, it may well still be 3-5-2.

  10. Good pedigree and has played at a much higher level. Slightly surprised we have signed another striker though and not sure how you fit Norwood, Dallas, Garner, Fondop in to the side.

It’s crazy how football works, before we signed Norwood we were all absolutely buzzing with our strikeforce of Nuttall, Reid, Willoughby and Fondop. We then obviously signed Norwood who of course is an upgrade on those but to then sign Dallas and Garner in the same season shows a couple of things:

    1. Our pulling power at this level.

    2. How much money we are pissing away on surplus players.

Given its location that seems pretty reasonable, it's coming out at £340 for Friday and Saturday night. Is there much to do in and around the ground? Not been to Wembley for over 30 years now.

It’s all very commercialised these days, which to be honest I don’t mind too much. There’s London Designer outlet there now, with lots of restaurants and a cinema, pretty good if thats your thing. It’ll be me and the mrs, and so no doubt i’ll be heading there at some point. Also Boxpark, which looks lively whenever England play, although I believe that gets assigned to 1 club when it’s a club game. I know this because I have a Notts Co. supporting mate who went there last season.

  12. Anyone think he may revert to 433? He may think it a perfect opportunity to change with Hogan banned, and with the new signings we may now be equipped to do so. I think that may be his preferred formation long term. Or do we think he’ll stick to whats been working recently?

    A 433 option could be:
    Hudson

    Sadchev

    Raglan

    Hobson

    Kitching

    Sheron

    Conlon

    Lundstram

    Walker

    Dallas

    Norwood
