for the people who think the songs have just been plucked from thin air, all these songs have been suggested by fellow latics fans on the other thread. and last time we tried to do an anthem, we were stitched up with andy williams. fans just ad 2 email the club and other fans from other clubs set us up wiv that.

Due to the original thread being quite popular and contraverial, here's a poll to see what the majority of fans would like. any songs you are unsure of or don't know, search them on youtube.com and you'll find them on there. I will submit these answers to the club and see if we can sort somthing official out.

Yes we used to be a premier league club but it was more a case of we were punching above our weight back then than underacheiving now. Granted, us as fans deserve 2 see abit of success at bp due 2 the last 15 yrs or so we've suffered but we need to do it sensibly and follow our business plan and budget, something that sheridan sees.

i'm not claiming shez is the best manager in the world, i am just asking people who could come in and do a better job mid season? yes granted we do struggle in certain types of game(ie when lower teams come and sit 10men behind the ball to defend) i do have critisisms of shez like he should use his subs more directly and maybe change the shape of the team when things r difficult and we're struggling to break a team down but look at the potential in our team! Come on give him the chance to develop that potential. he has knows his budget and used it rather well. we have scouts flocking from all over and just maybe sheridan is a victim of his early season success. We set off on a storming run and expectation levels soared. What good is booing after a draw going to do? teams set out 2 frustrate us at boundary park and im sure it was frustrating for shez and the lads as it was for us. we need to be patient as a club and have some positive vibes about the place. We have a very exciting young goalkeeper, a varied backline that in gregan has aleader with presence, young energitic wingers with plenty of potential, midfielders that have goals in them and the best looking strike force seen at bp since palmer and ritchie. Y can't we all pull in the same direction and stop the moaning and negative reactions.

why do people want to remove a manager who: has assembled a very good young squad with a spine of experience, currently sat in the top 6 5 points off 2nd working with the 3rd smallest budget in the league fending off numnerous big clubs trying to cherry pick his best players just after transfer deadline took us to play-offs in 1st season and came close with a virtual youth team due 2 injuries last year plays good football when possible knows the world of football and our club as well as anybody who else would people bring in? who could do any better? how many successful clubs chop and change managers when the chips r down? Look at chelsea now? struggling after sacking a manager. and the filthy reds? still got taggart and chasing silverware all over the show(even if it hurts me to say it) I think it's time we all got behind shez and his staff and push in the same direction-for promotion KEEP THE FAITH EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!

i agree it was abit of a naff song choice really but cant think of any off the top of my head but even if it doesnt work at home games then away games would certainly be able to carry it given our good away support. The only sticking point I see is getting a suitable song. maybe a poll on ere or something to got the ideas going

I know latics tried this 4 or 5 years ago but I don't feel it was done in the right way. What lacks at boundary park more often than not is a bit of athmosphere. We need a song that can be sung by all. A club anthem better than the ridiculous 1 that was brought in last time(you're 2 good 2 b true) go to places like anfield, britannia, bellend road and every1 sings to delillah, never walk alone and marching on. we need an easy song that every1 can join in and sing at beginning of gamss, when we score and at end of games. ah thanx for that. just out of inerest are there any latics fans thinking of going in home end? I know it has it's pros and cons but in the current climate i think we should do just to proove a point although this could cause another stockport situation which obviously isnt ideal.
