  1. they are hoping to start work on new stadium in summer so they can't be that skint!
  2. i did it and had us finishing 4 points above the drop but there's alot of teams down there that play eachother so it's going to be close. i also did the prem 1 and had chelsea winning by 2 points and pompey west ham and burnley going down

  4. I'm not a penney out person but just to add to the confusion amongst everyone on here, Gary Johnson's been sacked by bristol city. Just a thought?
  5. here's an innovative idea............................ let's get behind the 11 players (or 14) who put that blue shirt every week eh? Penney is the manager end of. He has a 2 year deal and i think it's about time us lot accepted this. The whole athmosphere needs to change round bp, especially matchdays, and that begins with us!!!!!!!!!
  6. like whether or not to order enough pies for the 2500 hungry fans?
  7. the next target will be to actuall score a goal a game on average!
  8. on the whole the best they can hope for is a draw. They 'gift too many goals' away and because of our low scoring record expect us to score 3/4 goals http://www.leytonorient2.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=232961 they obviously havn't watched latics recently.
  9. we have probably tried 10 different combination in midfield and none have brought goals. i see taylor as the ideal option. and what have we got to lose? can hardly score any less than we have. and were at home so lets take the game to them and give them someting to think about. i took lee out because i don't see him as a right back. Put him on the bench and his versatility gives us options to change the system if needed
  10. if you was doing penney's 'job' what would you select? brill goodwin or :censored: greegs ruebs jacobson stephens taylor colbeck smalley pav nardiello seems like the ideal solution to me. put taylor in the middle and get him running at the opposition. the whole team would ling better. in recent games we all know the space between midfield and strikers is too big. put taylor in there and he could be the missing link. Any alternatives? edited becaule formation hasn't quite showed correctly. gk brill rb goodwin or :censored: cb greegs cb ruebs lb jacobson rw colbeck lw smalley dcm stephens acm taylor cf pav cf nardiello
  11. i have just read a quote from exeters manager tisdale. he said 'if we play against oldham as limited as we did against stockport, we will limit ourselves' anyone heard any other daft quotes recently?
  12. can't see people being put off by couple of hundred southend and the like fans. And the big matches have always had away fans trapsing through the centre from mumps.
  13. i unfortunatly don't see failsworth coming off. I am in favour of the move. In an ideal world yes, bp would be redeveloped but we all know that can't happen now. I just hope if failsworth doesn't happen' something gets sorted. We need a new ground and facilities and FAST
  14. this idea i touted about when the origonal plans to redevelope bp fell through. Was told it was to near to glodwick.
  15. true and it is a first for them to be competeing with the likes of the saints leeds etc. they also do a family tichet (1 adult 1 kid) for £20
  16. i wonder if the club actually looked into the possibility of this idea? and if failsworth does not materialize then could this be used as a plan f?
  17. now i have only seen exeter once this season but there's quite an interesting article on their os http://www.exetercityfc.co.uk/page/NewsDet...1982063,00.html makes me wonder why when they are (imo) as bad as us can they attract the fans? Is it the opposition support? is it the manager? is it the fact they play decent football? is it the prices? well prices vary from £15-£20 for adults and from £5-£14 for under 18s. Maybe latics should adopt the u18 thing for the age limit for consessions even if they have to be bought in advance with proof of age. could be te away support because the big clubs of the division and the local teams all attract bigger crowds for them.
  18. now that is a damn good idea! but is there enough land there? and would you get permission for a stadium in the town centre these days? The 1 good thing is there would be no residents to please. But there would be businesses to relocate. and also the location for me would be perfect
  19. couldn't agree more!!!!!! I just worry that there will be no plans released until atleast april now and work behind the chaddy end is due to begin before then.
  20. exactly!!!!! let's move forward as a town. If than means get rugby on board to add weight to the argument then so be it but we have to act and we have to do it before both clubs die a very painstaking death. Surely the council has learned from the old oldham bears fiasco! we'd be improving the town for them aswell
  21. I really don't get what goes on in some small minded peoples minds.(blunt i know) How many times have latics (and now roughyeds) put forward plans to regenerate the town? Everytime (with help of local press) there has been massive opposition. Whether it's local residents or charities or just general busy bodies, there's always somebody to oppose it. Now i'm not a rugby fan by any stretch of the imagination but i think it's time latics, rugby and ombc actually joined forces to create someting that after decades of failed promises from all parties, oldham can finally be proud of. Whether that's at the failsworth site, bp or another site something needs to be done. Oldham on the whole is a sh!thole and needs some modern leisure facilities such as other simiar towns have done. I'm no ecinomical expert but i'm sure huddersfield is a nicer place to be than oldham and the galpharm and the surrounding facilities play a big part in that. SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE. N ot only for the sake of the football club, or the rugby club but the borough as a whole!!!!!!!!!!!! apologies for mis-type in title. lol
