The whole not allowing a player to play against his parent club if on loan is completely wrong.

 

Say Simpson scores against every team we play this season and we win all the games. He isn't allowed to play against Huddersfield and we lose.

 

Huddersfield have benefitted from all our wins as we beat their rivals. Surely there is some fair play initiative where they should be allowed to play against all.

 

I understand the whole not playing in the cup thing but if you loan aplayer out it means they aren't in your plans (unless it is financial) .

He's their contracted player, it's their right......unfortunately!

Unfortunately it mirrors much of society in general these days and not giving a stuff about anyone else. As somebody as pointed out, there are ways to ask 'please could you sit down when you can, as I can't see' and "effng sit down you ......."

Just as there are ways to do your best and give the person behind a bit of respect and sit down if you need to.

All seater stadiums bring these problems to the table - many years ago stood in the back of the Chaddy or any other terracing and a 6ft 4 man mountain stands in front of you with a minute before kick off, you could shuffle along or bellow down his ear for 10 until he became fed up of you and moved! It's harder sat down.

There are dingbats everywhere and 6 pints of John Willies, a couple of them sambuka things and a smoke on what they fancy, tends not to bring the best out of the dingbat race - their time will come - until then we grin and bare it (unless 1 stands in front of me of course!!)

I've always had the lovely notion that ohhh roger palmer came about as sticking up two fingers to fans who monkey chant to black players (oh oh oh) and this was our fans way of supporting him. Hence why it's still sung.

The more worrying thing for me is the mentality of the majority of fans sitting down for almost the entire 90 minutes at our biggest game for years. It really, really frustrates me. How on earth are you supposed to create a proper atmosphere sat on your arse? I hate modern football at times.

Competed fantastically throughout - the subs for me though tell the story of the gulf. We bring on Matt Smith, a signing from non-league Solihull and they bring on £50+ million pounds Carroll and Downing.....That's a heck of a gulf. Yet if you'd have taken Bellamy and Gerrard out of that side last night, we'd have been closer.
