    Not that I'm aware of, although I'm sure Rummy will correct me if I'm wrong. The only way, I think, would be to extend the sweary filter right across the board, you cheeky monkey.

     

    Yep, spot on Steve. I thought about the word censor, and I thought against it. People will always post expletives in all manners of ways, so trying to catch them all becomes a cat and mouse game - so the word censor got kicked into touch. Quite funny actually because people still post on here as they would on rivals.com, and properly spelt swearwords are few and far between (apart from the Taproom - jeezus!!)

     

    I'm sorry that your firewall blocks the site LL, but there's no point to include censorship.

    My job is to run the website - includes paying for the domain, hosting and everything else. I'm the contact for the hosts - Invision Power, if anything goes down I'm the one who gets it back up again.

     

    Beardy and Wardlelatic are Administrators. They run the forums, which includes creating forums, password resets, and the creative backbone to the site amongst a whole host of other duties that users just don't see - like global moderation. Making sure people aren't spamming, they are posting in the right areas and ensuring we don't have "undesirables" posting trash. These guys also provide financial backing to the board.

     

    Stevie_J, oafcshuck are Moderators. They make sure people aren't spamming in their own forums, they are posting in the right areas and ensuring we don't have "undesirables" posting trash also in their own zones. These lads are pretty good in their field as well, so if somebody posts a query in there - they should pick up the query and offer a response. They have a certain amount of autonomy, they can set their own polls, competitions and things within their forums.

     

    Super Moderators can do the Moderators job in any forum.

    Okay, I'm in blue - for the ROOT ADMIN - or ADMIN MANAGER

     

    Beardy and Wardlelatic are red - they are ADMINISTRATORS

     

    Stevie_J and oafcshuck are green - they are either SUPER MODERATORS or MODERATORS

     

    We actually need one or two more moderators for the main boards - you interested?

    There is a great little HELP section located at the top of the board next to CALENDAR - MEMBERS - SEARCH

     

    Just click on the HELP button and you will be presented with loads of helpful advice and how-to's for this new, spangely board.

    Click on MY CONTROLS==> at the top of your screen with the MY ASSISTANT - MY FRIENDS buttons etc. In the menu panel on the left hand side, under the OPTIONS heading left click on EMAIL SETTINGS. You will be presented with a panel in the main table - simply uncheck the "Send a notification email when I receive a new private message" box and then left click on AMEND MY EMAIL SETTINGS - there you go!

    Okay, this might please all the anti-graphic guys who want to sneak some time on the board whilst they should be updating that latest account your boss gave you.

     

    You will notice at the bottom of the page a link LO-FI VERSION - click on this and you shall have a more manageable site to hide away from prying eyes!!
