Gunnarsson, McAnuff and Church all played exceptionally well. Gunnarsson must have 'megged about half the Liverpool team by the end of it. And by all accounts he was gash at Forest?

Then open fm10 up and start network game, tick run as server and then when its loaded up, whoever is playing needs to go on join network game and put the isp that shows up on hamachi into where fm asks you.

I wouldnt trust this Manager with any transfer funds, after seeing the calibre of player hes brought here.

The signings were absolutely garbage in the close season and we are where I expected we would be. Abbott aside, not one of the signings inspired me in the slightest. Sign 20+ journeymen, league one rejects and league two players, and what else did everyone expect would happen? Promotion?

How I come to that conclusion is we dont have much money and therefore cant shell out on someone who is struggling for form or ability......FACT.

 

Your opinion of Colbeck doesn't seem to wash with many. I'm not looking for a whipping boy but I HONESTLY have to say I havn't seen many worse at Latics in over 30 years of watching them. The worst of a bad bunch of signings (apart from Pav) and to my knowledge the only one we actually paid for!

I think we paid for Furman as well. All this "Penney had no money to spend" is bollocks.

As i've said earlier his signings havent worked out yet. Lets hope to God they start to turn in some performances in the 2nd half of the season.

Last game i saw was Exeter. I didn't think we were negative one bit.

MK Dons was the best game of the season. We have not since got anywhere near that level of performance.

Going into games positively would be a start. I dont want him out, but at the moment the football being served up is on a par with that under Talbot.

It's all about money. If we had any Dave Penney could make some decent signings. I think he was brave taking the job, knowing he had nothing to spend. Iseem to remember the mighty Joe Royle even said he couldn't manage to perform his legendary miracles on the tuck shop money he was offered to build a squad. Give the guy a break. Sacking managers in under a season is ludicrous.

The money thing annoys me. We have brought in more players and spent more than a lot of clubs in our League. Money was there sadly most of what he has signed just havent worked out so far.

Every single person on this board would "try hard".

He isnt good enough like a lot out there. It also doesnt help that players are not being played in their preffered and most effective positions for the team.

Given the 11 that started todays game. Its hardly surprising... plus quite a few fans think we are one of/if not the worst they have seen this season.

Fans are understandably frustrated by the negativity of this manager, seeing yet another defensive midfielder signed when everyone was crying out for a striker to replace Heffernan.

The majority of Penneys signings here have baffled me. This one is up there.
