Yes, better get there early though, just in case they sell out.

Looks like the 3 game for £30 was a rip roaring success............The crowds are crap cos the football is crap, simple!!
Spot on. Please pass this on to the Marketing Guy and the Directors.

I started reading this, then came to my senses!
Its about as interesting as watching a dog take a :censored:.
You know what Bob?, I like it.
-
Their heads certainly are.
-
He is quite positive Senor. He just doesn't overreact like others do.
I think I could probably conclude that most of the fans on here are of the "half empty" rather than the "half full" variety. Probably myself included.

I kind of agree where your coming from Kellys Discopants. I have usually been one of the last people to turn on a manager and have even had rows in the ground during Talbots reign with fans who wanted him sacked long before he was. However, Penney is the worst manager I have seen in my time as a fan. His tactics and style of play would bore a glass eye to sleep. Fans will boo, moreso now than in the past, mainly due to the costs involved and the fact its good money being wasted to watch dross.
Booing & negative chants will not help in the short term, but by the same respect sitting there and saying nowt & just accepting what is served up would actually be worse.
People have to work hard for their money and the entry costs fans pay entitles them to voice their opinion....besides, 10 fans could go out and most probably show more commitment/effort/desire than what we see week in/week out - Gregan is the exception!
Give me 11 lads who are prepared to sweat blood and put their bodies on the line, and I would accept relegation if they got beat each week. A team of 10 Ernie Cooksey's & 1 Sean Gregan for me every day of the week....please!
You know what?, I reckon a settled squad (not full of journeymen and loanees) with those attributes and a manager with a bit of flair and a decent rapport with the fans and maybe a few of the old timers like myself might get interested again.

+1 i just wish we could pick up a team like we had in the 60's and the 70's the ground would be full !
Even at £20 a time? for Division three

You're thinking in one direction... the player approaching the crowd to 'shake hands' may not cause a problem on the pitch side - but the surge of several hundred people from the crowd does!
Won't be a problem at Latics then

Typical of today =
Just a matter of time before someone offers an "eat your takeaway for you".......whatever next ?... one reason why the country is in a state, too bloody lazy to do anything anymore.
Was going to type some long winded reply on why people are lazy, but can't be arsed.

And some a huge advantage in having a hatful...
Over 40s may remember Potter (Deryck Guyler) from Please Sir, a fine caretaker who would fit in rather well me thinks.

Boys, this is frigging class...
Always love reading that t'udders fanzine... glad we now have something to rival it....
May we be seeing the return of a certain series of cartoons? I certainly hope so....
Yes, very good. Plenty of material to work with at present. Looking forward to it.

I reckon that if the players are reading this we should give them some praise & inspiration to get their confidence back & get them playing like Brazil:
Keigan Parker: Your an absoulute sensation. You always put in 110% and are the most unselfish player I've ever witnessed playing football.Sean Greagan: Your ability to shoot from your own half & your skill on the ballmakes you one of the leagues most exciting young prospects.
Dean Smalley: Personally one of my favourite players, Gattuso like. Always gets stuck in, rarely looses the ball and totally dedication in when going in for the challenge.
Dean Furman: What can I say, keep playing the way you are and I think you are a candidate for player of the tournament at the World Cup.
Please feel free to add your praise for any other players...
Thanks for that, it's nice that you haven't mentioned his height, I actually think he is taller than he looks.
Best Wishes
Loftyboy Parker

New date for Latics v Brentford Tuesday 30th March.

Think I'm washing my hair that night.

That is good, like the way they mentioned how he got his nickname.

Just been looking at the fixtures and its a very worrying sight for febuary. Swindon away, Leeds Away Colchester Away Norwich Home, there is 12 points lost already !
On the official site It states that there are still tickets available for the Millwall game and here's me thinking they'd all been sold.

Was at the cinema before when the pre-movie Orange advert came on for not letting a mobile ruin your movie...
On a side note, if you're thinking about going to see Up In The Air, don't. Two hours of my life I'll never get back...absolutely awful.
Just like every other week at Latics then.
-
thanks for the report,id rather go off people who actually went rather than those that didnt and just post we are bad just because we got beat 2-1...
half those praying for a new manager or team probably didnt get much further than the fridge for a beer today!!!
Total respect to those who went, but to be honest on current form I don't think I'd have bothered if they'd been playing in my back garden.
-
I don't care at all about the stadium design and wouldn't waste time on it, as we'll get what we're given and like it.
Unfortunately I think that pretty much sums up the general future of Oldham Athletic on and off the pitch unless we court an extremely rich and wreckless multi billionaire.

Xbox. The pad alone is enough to put it in the lead.
Thanks to everyone for the advice
-
Not sure which one, if any to get. Any info, pros and cons etc most welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Snowing down here in the south-east with forecasts for heavy snow on Friday. Guessing the game could be in jeopardy, depending on how bad the snow is.
How far is jeopardy from Wycombe?.

Wonder what she sees in millionaire Mr Daniels?

.....End of training session: I was expecting to see a 15-20 minute warm down...... nets picked up/ balls bagged away and cones collected end of training session, I can now see why there are so many muscle strains, but even so the players should be doing this themselves and not just when prompted to by Penney, by the time they have got back to the dressing room their muscles would have tightened up
Said this on a couple of other threads that concern the teams training; but that in bold really doesn't surprise me in the slightest.
I’ve seen nothing this season in terms of the pre-match, half time & post game squad work to suggest that there is a properly thought out & implemented training regime in place here at present in terms of muscle stretching and warm-up’s / warm downs.
The most worrying thing for me is the lack of warm-downs that are happening; our sub’s just shoot straight up the steps and into the changing rooms or more worryingly; stick a top on and sit on the bench.
So, no warm-down after training doesn’t remotely surprise me………….now this just might be a coincidence* but just how many injuries have we had so far; I do forget?
Very poor all this in my opinion this season.
*by the way, it’s not a coincidence!!!!!
Where's rudemedic when you need him?

now i dare latics to come up with something similar to this...
http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Middl...icle242867.html
Never mind four wins on the trot after Christmas, four wins before the end of the season would probably be a safe bet.
£24 to attend Hudds away

£1 would be too much to watch this lot..... So I guess that's a NO.
