My first thought was that wearing a Latics top would narrow down considerably the number of suspects, but then again even the stayaways have Latics shirts in their wardrobes. Mind you if it was the fluo yellow top, then the Club should be able to trace all those who've bought one, unless he'd shoplifted it.
Probably thought it was a Chelsea top and is now washing his getaway car with it.

Any MPs stepping down next time round?
Hope not, a gobby Scouse Marxist Capitalist opinionated twatbag like him isn't ideal, even if Mr Barrett likes him.
Bit harsh, but a fairly accurate description.

You'll be dining out on that story for the next decade I reckon.
Better save it for "Parkinson" appearance.

Steady on - I know he's got some crazy ideas when it comes to tommy k and geography, but there's no need to be so abusive. You're out of order

i've paid for a full season and would have no problem whatsoever with it.
Good post, there are plenty of other ways to spend twenty quid these days and Football in general needs to wise up, plenty of empty seats in the Premier as well in the lower leagues.
Rugby League seem to have been far more proactive in attracting supporters.
Still increasing the crowds is what the Club pays the commercial/marketing department for, so let them get their act together.

Chester City have recently opened such a shop in the centre of Chester. Now there's a city where there is virtually no interest in football. It will be interesting to see how that one goes.
Darlington and Wycombe both had and probably still have shops in the town centre, due to the fact their stadiums are out of town. BP could almost be classed as out of town and therefore the benefits of a town centre store would be that it raises the profile of the Club and also encourages impulse buying. Worth a try IMO if the costs could be covered.

England lost in the Final after leading...think my housemate (was a steward at the game) said it was 3-1 in the end...England had a man sent off for kicking off. For anyone interested in it...that is.
Went along with my four year old for his first visit to BP and also to purchase a few items from the Club Shop, unfortunately with a reasonable crowd and an opportunity to make some money...... the Shop was closed. I appreciate that it wasn't a Latics only crowd, but I reckon they could have at least shifted a few England flags etc.
Alan Sugar would not be impressed.

LIne up is ever-changing.
1-1. O'grady equalised for Latics after Villa scored. We're sounding quite good but should have had about 11
PS, hope you're enjoying the HM!!
PPS - finished now. 1-1.
I thought we were playing Derby???

Indeed it was Jeff , I remember having a sticker in my bedroom window bought from there with "I'm a Latics Fanatic" written on it.
Not sure about the replica shirts though , I can remember having Latics shirts , usually for Christmas as times were hard (Well according to my Dad)
OK, more nostalgia, does anyone remember the boutique that Alan Groves ran, I think it was in Hollins?. Pretty sure it was called ENFER.

There was a Club shop in Oldham Town Centre, called The Latics Tangerine Shop, not sure if they even had a shop at the ground in those days. That would have been in the early seventies when tangerine was used as the home kit.

"UPDATE"
Just got back from the MRI.
Matt's sitting up in bed and looks like he's just got back from his holidays and not a 5 hour operation.
His latest quip is "he can now take the p--s out of Nathan as much as he wants" (children).
Nathan looks tired but the new kidney appears to be working successfully.
There both in ward 10, Matt's in a private ward at the top and Nathan's in bed 17, it looks like they'll both be in for about 7 to 10 days. If anyone fancy's a visit, daytime 2-00pm unitl 4-45pm and evening 6-00pm until 8-00pm.
Once again a big, big thank you for all your reply's and telephone calls.
Both of them are trying to make the 1st home game of the season, what an incentive to get up and go (to the loo that is).

I've always called it Hollingworth Lake, and then some months ago I read something which gave me the feeling that I had been incorrect. So when typing my post above, I deliberately left the letter g out. After your post, I looked it up, which I should have done before, and you are correct.
Yes, and I forgot to put a question mark at the end of my last post, just shows how good my grammar is.
Great Chippy at Hollingworth Lake, one of the best I have been to, although the Chinese at Hurst Cross, Ashton takes some beating. Maybe we could start a "Best Chippy/ Takeaway" thread.

From time to time I cannot suppress my pedantic urges any longer, and feel that I must draw attention to abuses of the English language.
My latest example involves English misuse of the French language. In Charlotte's Restaurant at Hollinworth Lake the dessert menu includes:
Gateau'sSorry to be pedantic but isn't it Hollingworth Lake.

Yup came in same time as Shez, signed him up permanently and then got permanently injured very soon afterwards.
First name that came into my head......Mike Bernard!!!!!

and a splash of decent marketing thrown in.....
the people who used to pack BP to the rafters in big joe's hey day must be somewhere? they all can't be working on sat'day
£20 to spend a couple of hours sat on a plastic seat in all weathers watching "third division" football is too much for the "floating supporter". Whilst we all know the reasons why OAFC and other clubs have to charge these prices, most people can think of other ways of spending/using their twenty quid. I really think until the game becomes more affordable i.e like in the 60s 70s, attendances will continue to decline and before anyone asks I reckon if it was feasable £10 for adults and £5 for juniors would offer reasonable value for money.

Still think it's too expensive for the "at a loose end on a Saturday" Oldhamer2 live games on the BBC, including Manure, crowd was always going to be impacted. -
What was wrong with SAFE? Nothing besides it achived feck all.....
Bradford Away FA Cup replay mid eighties, 5-0 down at half time we left with about 25 mins to go in order to drown our sorrows in Ashton. Whilst trying to locate the car, someone noticed it being driven off up the hill, after a "high speed" chase in the back of a nearby Police Van backdoors flying open as we went, the "game" Coppers fianlly gave up and after spending some time reporting the theft and waiting for alternative transport (train) we ended up skint after train tickets and a taxi as far as we could get from Manchester with a two mile walk home at 1am.

Sorry, but it aint worth 20 quid.also remember that season ticket holders had to pay, and it was a very overcast damp day too. -
The team in blue is playing at home, but it's not on the Isle of Man.
North of the border?

Great designs, like the idea of a number 11 on the back and maybe a Groves above and OAFC below the number.
Either way count me in for a medium, keep up the good work boys.

Sorry re colour, how about grey with navy print or navy with tangerine print.
Cheers

The car/window sticker of the time said, "It's Hell With Groves." Maybe you could include this legend in the design.
He was a great player!! My mum's favourite. She only ever talks about Grovesy and Bobby Johnstone!!
