  1. What is the position with his contract? I can't remember what it was at the start of this season.
  2. Evening all Has a date been set for when the reserves will play Leicester reserves at Leicester? The last I have seen is that it will be a date before the seasons starts. thanks
  3. I dont post very often at all, but I completely agree. A club of our size cannot expect a manager to come in and turn it around in less than 12 months. It takes 12 months for a manager to settle in and get the players he needs. Having said that, he will be very restricted to the choices of players he can bring in, as we dont have the cash so he may be having to select the best of a bad bunch. He knows what we need, a lot of us do, but without the cash its a struggle. How can you build a squad with having so many loan players who come and go. At the start of this season, I was and still am happy as long as we stay up. Also, at least we still have a club to support. Next season, thats a different story but can you really honestly think that we could get automatic promotion unless some serious money is invested? We need a steady squad, thats what all the teams who get promotion have. What benefit would it be to bring in a new manager and to start this all over again?
  4. blimey look at the price some of them are going for (all worth it in my eyes) I still have the home shirt from early 80's with the white in the middle with "lees" on it. I was only a nipper but I saved that shirt for my son who is now 6 months old. Trouble is, haven't got a clue where I put it safe I was always so proud to wear that shirt ar School in Leicestershire in the 80's
  5. I dont post that often, but this is one of the best threads ever. Sorry bob.
  6. this season was the first season for a while which should have been our chance of getting out of this league. all is not lost, and we still have a chance, but, when you look at the players we have, and on paper its a good squad of players, we need a manager who commands respect and the players who respond to that. Shez's comments as "I dont know what to do" which is a regualr quote, sums him up at this time. I know for a fact if I turned round at work and said "I dont know what to do" i would be out of there. He needs to be given to the end of the season as changing things now isnt going to change the fact that we are 50 / 50 for play offs. This time of year a team that is going for / in the play offs needs confidence and good team spirit. We dont have any.
  7. A great atmosphere last night. You should proud of yourselves. Best reaction from the Forrest fans "Your just a small town in Derby". It gets them every time
  8. I'll be there Nice for a game to be just down the road from where I live
  9. I think its a good signing, he has developed a lot at chesterfield. When we played at Chesterfield mid season, he was my M.O.M and cut our midfield out of the game. Good luck to him and I am sure he wont let anyone down.
  10. Wise words Ackey. If we dont develop on it, someone else will. We all know what local councils are like for agreeing to stick Houses and flats etc on any spare bit of land. I'd much rather have our development near my house anyday. At least you will know who your neightbours will be.
  11. I'd rather not play Forest or BC in the play-off semi's.
  12. Hi all, I hope you have all been enjoying the sunshine BBQ's this afternoon (and the beers that go with them) Name? Bubblehead (graham) Location? Loughborough, Leicestershire How Long Supporting the Tics? Since 1980 Best away match you've been to? Most of my games are away games. I always remember Ian Narshalls hat-trick at Wolves which was the start of a fantastic season. This season? Notts F. The atmosphere at away games has always been great, even when there was a handful at Bristol Rovers about 8 or 9 years ago. All Time Greatest Player? Too many to mention, got to be all in the promotion winning squad. I'll never forget that day in the chaddy end with Neal Redfern scoring that penalty. Biggest Rivals (in your eyes)? Any midlands team as I normally know someone who supports one of them
