  1. Everyone got their plans sorted? We've ended up booking to stay in the ibis
  2. Joe - did you hear any more about this? I'm presuming I need to get a move on with getting sorted out with tickets, cheers
  3. A few of us are on the 13:07 up - trains more expensive after that
  4. Plan is one or two in the George then head down to charlton to meet up with Ben et al
  5. Looking forward to this one, as it's ended up being my first away-day of the season. Many Christmas beverages ot be had. Also going to struggle to make that many for the next couple of years as I'm going on secondment to Brussels in January... One main memory from last time is the incongruously poncey 'Italian' steward who got some attention from the Latics fans
  6. Also there's a new sports bar in victoria station. Don't know if that's less crap??
  7. I don't like the sports bar either but at least it has the benefit of being in the centre. It's a bit of a trek from Camden to down south
  8. I reckon it everyone's coming from different directions we may as well just meet in the coach and Horses near the ground earlyish rather than have a concoluted stop en route!
  9. I want to get the 18:30 back
  10. This is no good! I want to go but not paying £50 for the privilege of getting there
  11. Right... Me, Mark, Alex, Andy. 10:45 train. To sort it out via a single ticket and pint buying if alex needs to get a separate single back on Sunday Agreed?
  12. I'm up for this but only if I can sort out 4 for 2 - otherwise looks picey. Anyone else up for doing that on the 11:30 train?
  13. Does this imply the transport isn't as screwed as we thought it was going to be?
  14. seeing as the public transport looked like a real ballache is there a case for meeting at liverpool st or fenchursh st or somewhere then just sharinfg a minibus taxi there? wouldn't be thta much if there were a few of us
  15. Good stuff in the past I've drunk near the station, down by the beach then at a hotel near the ground, not the walkabout. But happy to go wherever everyone is
  16. Rob That train sounds about right for me so hopefully see you on it. Front carriage? I'm lanky and bald so fairly easy to spot. Am heading down with Ben but not sure if he's going to get the Victoria Train or come via London Bridge and join en route
  17. Bloody part timers! I've always been fine getting them either to post tickets or if you leave it until the last minute they'll brim down the tckets on the coach and you can collect them from the ticket office at the ground
  18. Who's making the trip down to the Withdean then? Usually a good day out and I'm also following it with birthday drinks at cask in pimlico (which has hundreds of different kinds of beer)
  19. I should be in for at least part of this. My mate is back from Singapore that weekend and suspect will be doing an all-dayer of some kind
  20. I should be able to make it as well - nice and close to the office, and my flat
  21. Indeed the kennington park pitches are good. My game is 5-7 every Sunday there and it's an open invite if anyone ever fancies coming along. Costs £5 and we pick sides from whoever turns up. Being hungover is standard and not a reason for not turning up
  22. I'll be there, and think it may also call for 'Christmas coffee' to be taken into the ground. Wycombe isn't a very long trip by the way
  23. I definitely vote Charing Cross this time, and should be in the Chandos not long after noon. Would be good to get to Charlton in time for one there though, and the train journey is definitely long enough to call for a 'traveller' (or in Andy's case a large bottle of magic coke so he can shout random yet long winded abuse at the opposition keeper)
