    Exactly, i don't care if i could watch premier league football for a tenner, i'd still go to watch latics! No real latics fan would go and watch another team no matter how much cheaper it is.

    I think that if a keeper dives but can't get there the goal actually looks better than if the keeper stays rooted to the spot.

    Even if the keeper had dived he still wouldn't have saved it! That is why it was a great goal. Just because the keeper didn't dive doesn't make it any less of a good goal.

    Have you not thought, maybe just for a second, that the keeper couldn't do anything to stop gerrard scoring either goal because they were both world class goals and any keeper in the world would have struggled to save them? Of course you haven't, that would mean giving gerrard some praise and we all know you're never going to do that.

    Exactly, you can't just completely change the team and expect it to work straight away. It has to be done gradually.

    Agreed. Gerrard is always the one who shows the most fight and desire to win. He cares about trying to make amends for what happened in south africa and you could see how much it meant to him to get those two goals. I couldn't imagine any of the other older players celebrating like gerrard did after scoring in a friendly. He is a leader and i always thought he should have been given the captaincy from the off and not because of terry being stripped of it and ferdinand being injured.

    The only senior player who really deserves to be dropped is rooney. He again showed how much of an arrogant he is when he was substituted (deservedly so) tonight.

    So basically you hate steven gerrard and refuse to admit that he's a great player no matter what, and you will never change your mind. Pointless trying to argue with you if that's the case.

    He's already done it plenty of times against some of the best defences in the world. He's a fantastic player.

    Believe me, i might not have seen as many Latics seasons and England tournaments as other people but i do still feel the strain of it sometimes!

    Maybe it would make you feel better but i doubt it will help the England team play any better! Booing your own players is just one of them things i don't believe in and never do it. That might be just me, who knows.

    Don't really see the point of booing them. Is it suddenly going to make them awesome? No its not. They know how :censored: they were in the world cup and how they let the country down. Booing them isn't going to make them realise that any more. Time to move on now.

    Well it sounds like another very positive performance and hopefully we are only going to get better. Already can't wait for the notts county game
