I’d pay a tenner more to sit in the Main Stand, our glorious Main Stand...
Me too, I've sat or stood in every stand in the ground over the course of 40+ years watching Latics, but the main stand upper by a country mile gives the best vantage point to watch the game.

Absolute headcase, way too big a gamble for me, despite his obvious ability at League 1 level.

Can you imagine the melt down on here if we picked up 4 points from 15 having been top.
We'll never know.

Mr Corney;
Could we please have in future seasons at least 1 of our 3 best players actually being our own player?
Sounds like a bit of a pipe dream to me.

Here and nearby Selhurst Park are not grounds we win at...
I wouldn't mind so much if it was just those two.

I thought Bryan was the only one we had a chance of keeping hold of, but if its true Bristol City are interested in him then I suspect he will be gone as well.
We could really struggle without them as all three are an integral part of the team.

I still think we can stay up, despite the current relegation form.
If all the loanees go back, it could be very tight though.

Do English wickets and conditions not dictate that genuine pace is not deemed to be essential?
I think that's right, with often favourable overhead conditions and the Duke ball in England, there is more than enough sideways movement, to not need to be 90mph plus.
On these hard, flat, bouncy Aussie wickets with pretty much no sideways movement, its all about express pace and bounce, we really don't have either and our bowlers are looking very ordinary in the conditions.
Add to that our batsmen are looking often very ill at ease, with their extra pace and bounce and another 5-0 is beckoning, I think only some very poor weather could save us.

We’ve took 28/40 Aussies have 40/40 this 2-0, no centurions a castrated tail and both openers well out of nick. As I said 5-0 Jimmy was good in the second innings bowled like Elmo in the first innings.
We look to be staring down a gun barrel at the moment, I agree, can't see us avoiding a 5-0 tbh.

The finish of the match had a rather familiar look about it, if we are not careful I can see another 5-0 on the cards.

Very frustrating night, they came for a point and got one, we played some decent stuff and created enough chances to have won the game, but some very poor finishing cost us.
Jack Byrne was excellent again and as usual pulled all the strings and ran the show.
Also thought the referee was poor and very fussy.

Careful there, it may become an unwelcome distraction against relegation, don't lose focus on the main objective.
