Curzon had the frost covers on last night.
-
My wife refused point blank to go. Had to take my mistress instead
-
I reckon looking at the average attendance that pensioners currently make a fair proportion of the average gate which makes me worry for the future
-
Need to report it to the ticket office so that it will be voided
If anyone tries to use it is will not make that " pretty sound) as it is scanned and the turnstile operator will fuse admission.
There us a chance that it it may show on the system as someone having tried to use it
The latter pure conjecture on my part

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the Blackburn game at Leigh Sport's village. To be honest I am not certain
-
A tiny part of me wants to go to Blackburn, I always make a point of going to new grounds, and Ewood park is one I haven't been to. I said when they announced this new format I wouldn't attend any of them, so i'm going to stick to that. Hopefully we can stay in this league and play them next season as they look like they could get relegated this season.
I don't have any problem with anyone who does go, each to their own and all that. Would imagine they'll be less than 100.
-
But when it does happen
-
Great idea - love it. Huddersfield have long been a very forward thinking and innovative club - and you are quite right regarding many of ours would moan about it "I paid such an such for a season ticket, it's unfair etc"
Any of the forward thinking ideas due to SeanJarvis?

Although I applaud your thinking we have spent years complaining that we have had only three stands. To close one now should not happen..
The task now is to carry on and try to continue improving the product on the pitch and filling three home fan stands
Leave the Chaddy End to what ir has now become

Did I hear or imagine hearing a version of "sit down" played. Great song not sure if it was the right time or place
-
There's a referee's assessor at every game.
Hope he puts in an honest report on todays performance
-
Can they not just scan the barcode or whatever off your phone?
Will be happening
-
Try the back of Picadily station. Just saying.
I once got cautioned many years ago for alleged kerb crawling though Moss Side many years when the only cash I was carrying was 14p
TO CLARIFY MATTERS I WAS NOT
FFS I would not even Wxxk myself off for only that amount

e) cost of lost income by fraud/theft (funny how many under 12's go through Bobs turnstile)
Again just my thoughts but
1) I believe ticket holders may use any relevant turnstile entering to the part of the ground for it was purchased. Hence you may see adults concessions and juniors all having their tickets scanned at the same gate
2) I also understand that there were complaints in previous seasons where parents were reluctant to let their UNDER 12 children through a different gate.As a consequence adult turnstiles are allowed to admit these at the junior price. The Club does monitor the number of junior

To my mind it costs money to handle cash
. Based on "my" assumptions
a) Cost of having floats to give out change on the turnstile Banks charge for change
b Cost of banking the takings.I believe that banks charge for "banking" cash
c) Costs involved in getting receipts from a ground to the bank Security company
d) On match days it must be much easier to scan tickets and arrive at an attendance figure quicker and accurately hence less staffing costs
Just a few thoughts off the top of my head

Fane is 85% legs.
Not that I and many others would notice but I am sure that "Underdog" would appreciate the 85% legs

Oh, aye and Winchester is the answer then??? FFS, somebody better tell Robinson (and nearly every other manager over the past five or six years) he's got it all wrong!!!
Time to get rid of the lazy, idle :censored:!!!
SINCERE APOLOGIES Wad done unintentionally. My only complerely unacceptable excuse is that it is past 1 am and I have had a few sherberts after tonights game

Fair point.i did a turnstile some years ago for a friendly against them arranged in part to raise funds for us. Many of their fans paid way above admit price to help the Club to surviveNever understood the animosity of many Latics' fans to City. When we were going bust, I was part of the team of fans who did a bucket collection down at Eastlands. The City fans were marvellous in their support of Latics - both verbally and in coughin up more than £10,000 on the day !
We did Utd not too long after and raised around £4k from a much bigger crowd.
City fans have a warmth for Latics - we should appreciate that.

While the owners are taking money out via various avenues I struggle with the idea of fans paying additional costs towards buying players.
That money going towards getting kids involved via tickets etc I have less issue with.
While our thoughts differ on the current owners I respect your opinion, In my mind Latics4life is an excellent idea but am not sure whether it a success.yet and the youngsters need to be encouraged to stay by seeing success on the pitch

??? With an answer like that my money has to go to the Trust or Playershare (although I cant afford a great deal. Answer reninded me of the protest group who potentially hads something to offer but could/would not back it ip
I thought I ask a reasonable sensible question as to help me make up my mind. Obviously not

Reasons why please?

Didn't it use to be 7:30pm for night matches in the olden days?
I remember Tuesday afternoon matches before floodlights.
Mid week matches used to be Wednesday IIRC but then again I am probably slightly older than you
-
Well it's nice to have some humour on here instead of just doom and gloom

In all fairness Latics would have had ground covers on the pitch bearing in mind the forecast and especially as the next days match was to be televised
