  1. I think most would agree that Robbie's form since signing to the end of the season hasn't been his best but for me he needs to be in the team for the extra bit of quality he has. Granted hs dead balls have been poor recently but he is an fairly experiencd player that single handedly got us a vital point on Saturday. Really hope he stays.

  2. I had a bit of an issue with the stewards on the way in, I paid on the gate but I wasn't given a ticket stub but the steward wouldn't let me get into the quarter-empty stand then eventually after speaking to Marketing Jen who unfortunately couldn't do much and getting a lecture off the steward about how I should always receive a ticket he let me in.

It's the most ironic thing about when fans of another team mocks an away following that they mock the people who have made the effort to turn up. But when 20,000 people were singing "Wednesday til I die" you've got to take your hat off to fans who have stuck by their club in large numbers

That was a large crowd even for Wednesday. They have dipped a low as 15 last season. But so they should, huh club, big city with a huge catchment area. The same argument I give to city fans.

  3. I thought we were very attack minded against the wendies and that got us nowhere. Lee and Diallo were getting forward often leaving us exposed at the back. Neither of them contributed anything going forward mind. A Set up similar to that of hudders and charlton away may not be a bad shout.

  4. Scott Spencer has bagged 30 in 30 for Hyde and Gary Lowe, the Hyde gaffer, has said Football League clubs have asked about him.

I know he didn't set the world alight at Dale or Everton, but maybe he has matured and ready to make the step up?

We have signed players who have scored less goals at a lower level!

He couldn't do any worse but for me the step up is huge.

  5. I'm sure when he went in for his op they said they were hoping to get him back for a couple of games before the end of the season. Any news?

We were told 12 weeks I think. How long has he been out now? Is suppose even he if gets himself fit he will be miles off match fitness. We haven't been told that he is back in training yet.

  6. Good post - agree with a lot of what you say (apart from your team for Saturday ...) - the end of the season cannot come too quickly for me - hopefully we survive and we can all look forward to England (*) in the Euros

Think we have seen enough to suggest that PD will not drop Kuqi no matter what.

  7. Its the players who have to go out and do it on the pitch you sack the manager a new man will still have to work with the same players and the same problems will keep occuring.

Really? Would a new manager not get them organised? Stop leaking soft goals and use his subs effectively? Not saying he would like just a thought.

  8. He was pretty terrible, self-important and stuck up his own arse. He mainly suffered from flashing cards out too soon, made a rod for his own back.

That said, he was far worse for them than he was for us. And furthermore, WTF was Mvoto doing, steaming in when on a yellow in the MIDDLE of the pitch with no direct threat against us? The Charlton player played for that completely and Mvoto was an absolute dickhead for getting sucked right into that.

Hollands was probably a red. It was a pretty bad tackle, I was two rows right behind it and quick feet did him but a pretty brainless lunge got him sent off. The other red card was laughable, as it was a 50/50 challenge. A foul our way was about the most it should have been.

The game decended into a bit of a farce after then summed up by their keeper leaving a leg out for Simpson to connect with, who then needed treatment and started rubbing his ribs. And then timewasted some more which got him his booking. Ludicrous.

People must have looked at that today expecting a completely horrible match. Even the pretty neutral BBC website report called it an "ill tempered match". It was never anything of the kind.

Said completely the same thing. The ref would always try and even it up. Big jean gave him the opportunity. Still a poor decision tho. Today showed we're not a bad side, but we are bad at doing the things that make you a good side or Isthat strongbow talking?

  9. My point is - and I'm no fan of Corney - that he ain't got a pot to piss in, what do you want him to do? Bankrupt the club due to the impatience of a minuscule proportion of its fan base?

If there's no good news, say :censored:-all - until recently he's been following that rule quite well after getting his fingers burnt.

Bloody hell that's a typical owtb response! Probably why so few start threads.
