good on you mate you're not plastic you're realWish you lot would stop putting everyone who can't attend regularly in the same 'plastic' boat. I've been supporting latics as long as I can remember and was a ST holder for several of those years. I started Uni this year making it somewhat logistically (and financially) impossible to be going to games regularly. I came down specially today in order to get a ticket for what will be one of the biggest games I'll ever have seen at BP having been born just after the glory days - off the top of my head only City in 2005 and the Blackpool play off game would be able to compete. I've never seen us as anything other than a league 1 side (and generally a poor one at that) yet I've stuck with Latics - but I get classed as plastic?!

no matter what the club did for the liverpool game there would people griping and trying to stick the knife in,but i say grow up and stop :censored:ing compaining we all want one thing and one thing only, oafc where they should be winning and victorious and if that means us as fans paying for it so be itThey paid £10 for 23 league games at the start of the season. The Liverpool ticket cost and the season ticket cost have absolutely nothing to do with each other. I'm guessing the other perks weren't really thought about, except maybe the priority on the cup tickets. But I'd reckon there would have been an expectation that they wouldn't get fleeced on the cost of a cup ticket. And mentioning friend for a fiver, thats brilliant! Most kids (I'd guess) friends would also be kids. So they can bring a friend to every league game for a fiver, without the voucher.
£10 for a kids season ticket is an absolutely brilliant deal. We should be attracting kids to come to games as they are the future of the club.
£20 for kids to watch the Livepool game is not a good deal or good value. £20 for a child to watch a football game (at any level) is ridiculous. And you can't even claim "yeah but they get to see Liverpool", because if it was at Anfield it would only be £5. So why should we charge £15 more than one of the biggest clubs in the country would? Thats not a good deal for anyone.
We give cheap season tickets to attract future fans, so they can watch us play the likes of Yeovil and Scunthorpe. But as soon as we get a glamour game, they can get f*****d, because we will fleece them like everyone else. This is the sort of game which could get a kid hooked on Latics for life. We really shouldn't be ripping them off.
SC said this game is not just about the money, its about the fans. But it's not really is it? They increased adult prices by a fiver (expected that and not too bothered), but increased kids prices by £15, increased the cost for pensioners, and are even making loyal club staff pay to attend. But its not just about the money... honest.

how often has that worked and led to a goal not many as i recall so i think a rethink is called for!Baxter read the flicks really well first half. Often moving towards the ball and then changing direction and moving forwards as Smith came across to head the ball.
-
i dont joke why do you think its a joke ?Is this a joke?
-
smith should never have started today,to slow and never gave their defenders any concern, the only reason why he played was the reaction the forrest manager gave him after last weeks game,so if dickov had anything about him he would have started with somebody else up front because brentford would have made a game plan to stop smith which they did with no problem as shown today

i couldnt agree more but the club will do what they always do,:censored: on the latics fans then expect us to KTFTo all those that voted the whole RRE:
WE ARE THE HOME TEAM. WE WANT TO ATTRACT AS MANY POTENTIAL LATICS FANS AS POSSIBLE and WE WANT TO WIN THIS MATCH.
Stop respecting them so much.
I'd give them 10 seats if we could. Couldn't care less about them, especially when they refused to give us extra seats at Anfield last year.
Get ruthless.

proximity of top level clubs ok but if you have succesfull team season after season with no need to travel the fans will be there,as far as the town dying post industrial thats crap the asian comunity has killed oldhamLong rambling post about:
Xmas
2 games in a week
Recession
Changes in access to top level football on TV
Game shooting itself in the foot by not redistributing money from the top to the grass roots
Failures of previous regimes to invest when we were a top flight club
Crisis after Moore
Town dying on its arse in post-industrial era
Proximity of top level football clubs
Luck and lack of
Within next few years we'll see clubs at our level going bust
..etc..

+1Yep, cause he realises the bollox he has spouted in previous losses will no longer get him out of jail.
-
next home game will be less than 2500 home fans with the :censored: that is dished out every week
-
he should have gone 1 min after todays game but he will there at scunthorpe on 1st jan where we will lose to a team that dosnt win at home and then he will be in charge at forrest because corney hasnt tne balls to back up his rants in the papers
-
so thats the downfall nothing to look forward to apart from relegation and :censored: footballSeems SC and PD are big mates so nothing will change.
-
i have come to the conclusion that corney is full of wind and piss, shouts a lot of being pissed off by the attitude of the management and players,if its acase of the club cant afford to sack dickov and his backroom staff then own up to it,dont keep keep shouting :censored:
-
we as just fans who pay the players wages etc should not ask why the players and managment are not doing the job they are paid to do or ask why they under achieve but I suppose when they have our money it's okThat is not what has happened. LD who used to sit on the bench now takes a seat up in the directors box to "get a different perspective" PG sits with the subs as opposed to being involved on the touchline with the manager and coach whilst PB struts around with his clipboard more involved than GT. Can you explain why PB has so much involvement when he was employed as a fitness coach. He has no experience in professional football except for the 1st two seasons here as a fitness coach under PD and now half a season as 1st team coach.

its ok saying we had the better of the first half but what was the score 1-1 when you have the better of any game you expect to be in front,in reality we are not capable to take any team to task and that is because the management is not up to the task themselfs they are cluelessI think the above is more of an accurate reflection of the match compared to some of the comments on here. Apart from a poor start we had the better of the first half, and the team were applauded off the pitch at half-time by the supporters around me. In the second half it felt like the two teams had neutralised one another, and that the game was heading for a draw. According to Sky "the home side were on course for a well-deserved point". Even the Doncaster manager said the game could have gone either way. We shaded the possession and, by 11 to 4, had more attempts on goal against a team 4th in the table.
Personally, I'd have withdrawn Changy at least 10 minutes earlier as the player looked completely knackered, and I'd have given Taylor at least a 10 minute run-out in place of Smith.
However, we're in a results driven business and the spotlight will continue to shine on Dickov. A new manager would need 3 or 4 weeks to assess his new group of players before making any changes - budgets permitting. As such a new manager would ideally have been in place by the beginning of December, and it's now possibly too late to make an effective change. I wouldn't be surprised if Dickov was still in charge for the last game of the season!
-
then why does he sing Taylor's praises, seems to me that dickov as the weeks go by his mind gets weaker and weaker, his time is up he has run out of ideasI didnt matter what what happened today 8 of our players were guaranteed not to be subbed. the only ones who could be were wes smith or changy. Everyone else is secure in their shirt for 90 minutes. smith couldn't be replaced because dickov wouldn't trust dan taylor to lead the line wes was having a good game, and changy was subbed when he ran out of steam. The subs from that point were wasting their time warming up.
-
Instead of corney ranting and raving about players and managers and coaching staff not doing what they are paid to do and not doing it,lets see him doing something about it ie sacking PD and his cohorts and piss poor players or shut up and stop complaining,
-
No matter what we say the same old dickov bull:censored: will be put in the press statements " we didn't deserve to lose " but we did and how long do we have to put up with pure :censored:,I was going to forest for the cup game but I'm not now because I've lost all hope and enthusiasm,it's not only me but a lot of other tics fans something needs to be drastically dine before its to late
-
do you not think that its not going right you have to change it if you don't then you get what you saw today, total crap and who's that down to ?That back four was in place for some of our best performances.
That's why.
-
if he's an execptional talent and he cant be arsed applying it he sould'nt be on the pitch but he's not he's a very averagre sunday league player on good wages taking the pissHe's an exceptional talent.
But if he can't be arsed applying it ...
-
in reply to your mention of montano i said a few months ago that i thought he would'nt be the player everybody said he would be,but i got shot down in those months since i have yet to be proven wrong,he is crap a few mediocre games and nothing else but hey who am i i've only been a tic from the age of 3 and i'm 56 so i've not watched many playersMontaño's contribution was an utter disgrace. He didn't want it one little bit.
Most others had poor games too. Grounds got done far too often.
But a special mention to manager and coaching staff. We've had a fair degree of success knocking it around on the deck in the last two games. So who decided to resort to the :censored:e long ball nonsense again? Derbyshire is 5'8".
-
+1Horrible to watch today, negative and no motivation from the top.
If PD has told Furman to play that way and as speculated SC is thinking of reducing season ticket prices for next season, better start about £100 otherwise im not buying another one.
Woeful negative, deep football and at home against a :censored: team.
It really is only a matter of time PD.
Barry..
