Good stats. Pretty sure you said Nepo was shite regardless of how many assists etc. So you can't you stats for one argument and dismiss them for another

You recall incorrectly. I dislike Branger. I’m a fan of Nepo & Missile. As @Lee Sinnott pointed out above, I was directly comparing Gardner v Maouche as they okay in the some position.

Am “I” call “YOU” a racist? Not at all.

Are you saying someone in the club is a fraudulent shyster peddling players for personal gain??? Just askin’

I’m suspicious of Mr. Lemsagam’s motives, I’m unclear as to what they are. I’m allowed to be that without being accused of being a racist.

What was the word used somewhere ? Sinister or malicious ? Cba checking back. But I’m pretty certain that a suggestion of underhand goings on was atleast being hinted. I still think MM is better than DG FWIW.

Apologies Andy if it wasn’t you that said it.

It was sinister... and it was me.

There is no way Maouche is worth anywhere near £4K a week.... and if we’re continuing to pay him that, I’m very suspicious.

  4. Dan Gardner played 20 games last season. He scored 2 and assisted 6 times.

    Maouche played 34, returning 4 and 3.

    Baxter's numbers were 29, 4 and 2.

How the fk Maouche got a new contract - especially given what he was reportedly earning - on his performance at his job and the other two didn't, is a disgrace. It stinks.

    For context, here are some other comparisons;

    Nepo, 42, 6 and 10.

    Branger, 25, 5 and 8.

    Lang, 42, 13 and 2.

    O'Grady, 38, 7 and 3.

Look at the numbers.... there's no way he should've been offered a new contract. There has to be ulterior motives.

It's not uncommon for a vendor due diligence pack to be provided with some warranties. Probably unlikely in this case as that usually happens when there are a lot of interested bidders!

That not right. A seller often effectively helps with DD by disclosing any potential issues that are then warranted to prevent future claims by the buyer. It’s extremely common.  A seller doesn’t want to be sued down the line for not disclosing fully.

Edit Dave_Og beat me to it.

What I’m getting at is..... any obligations falling to the vendor, fell to Corney.... and unless instructed to do so - it wouldn’t be BBB’s responsibility or motivation esp in an instance where BBB was not due to benefit from any Sale through shareholding, nor - given what he might’ve known/his relationship with Corney not being great - wishing the Sale to fall through. In this scenario, BBB would’ve sat back and watched it play out in front of him. It was up to the purchasing party and legal team to tease out all they needed.

Barry was the Trust representative on the board and failed to file the Trust accounts...for SEVEN STRAIGHT YEARS. I’m also unclear what his role in the Abdallah takeover was. Abdallah was clearly sold a pup by Corney, so where was the due diligence. Surely it wasn’t in the hands of Barry Owen in his advisory capacity?

As for Barry moaning about the financial mismanagement of the club under the previous regime...he’s got more front than Blackpool promenade.

The man is a big part of the problem and has been for years. The only mystery is why some people think the shambles of the last fuck-knows-how-many years is not at least partly a product of Barry’s efforts.

You know I love you Lags but pull the other one.

Whilst I agree with most of that.... it wouldn’t be Big Bad Baz’s (a sitting director of the selling party) job to ensure due diligence on the part of the buying party. That’s up to the buying party and their legal advisors.

Are we unusual in so many greats having been wingers? Or the way we like/appreciate wingers?

Tommy Wright was my first ever "favourite player", then we had Holden, Adams, Eyres, not in the same league but Chris Taylor was good and a big fans favourite, even now Nepo is probably our best player and one of the most popular....

I was absolutely gutted when we sold Tommy Wright to Leicester. The fact that Royle had Holden lined up as his replacement for a net c£200k profit was astounding business.

You'd imagine someone is paying someone to stage that game...

...you’d hope Marco’s local connections mean we are not paying for it.... but the trip itself you’d assume won’t be cheap. I’d have thought he’d have been quite keen on the idea of hosting Marseille with his French connections. Seems an odd one.

The day anyone cares about a pre season friendly...

Other than Marseille at home - with Balotelli & Payet on show might’ve earned us some money in gate receipts vs Morocco that will cost us a bit. Curiously, Stanley play Marsellie after we get back from Morocco, so turning it down seems even stranger.
