That'll be might trapesing through the cobbles streets of Ibiza town trying to find a bar with sky sports. Wish me luck!
-
Pie in the Sky that, I've recently been told.
It did seem optimistic.... Although I did hear the same French pre-fabricated rumour BP1960 did!?!?
-
Am I the only one who misses a Red away kit?
-
Mike Keegan tweeted under MENOAFC "Am told the terrace for the new stand may be in place for start of new season. Should look better than last year" on 25th June!

Neil Redfearn. Approaching 20 goals in the 2nd tier, as soon as we were promoted and Milligan had come back from Everton, frozen out and sold to Barnsley for a pittance. Few years later, Redders banging em in the Prem for Barnsley, we're languishing at the bottom of Tier 2.

2-0 Defeat, Sept '92 inc Moose's pen miss
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EA4-eobf8yw&feature=youtu.be
Right, now i've been outed as a clueless no nothing fookwit i'm off to lie down in a darkened room and cry.
I enjoyed that pint! I've got this green kit somewhere, it was awful wasn't it! I didn't the mind the one that came after, the one that matched villa's home kit design.
-
....I shall never see the likes of today again. I'm off down the pub for a pint at lunch now...!!!!

This could be quite a story, one Matt Chambers ought to get onto... "Prozac in minor detail error shocker"! ;)
-
Stitch missed one in March '91 L0-2 and I think Hubble has recently beamed back footage of a suspiciously familiar Mitre Delta orbiting one of Jupiter's moons he hit it that high!
Moose's was in Sept '92, another 0-2 defeat 'She's here, she's there - she's every fookingwhere - Shearer's Wife, Shearer's wife (who had recently given birth), he took great delight in taunting us when he scored the opener. Marshall's pen had Mimms pissing himself, hit like an exocet but straight at him!
We wore that Green kit that looked like someone had been sick down it....
Oooof, I wasn't far off, I thought we missed 2. I'm not questioning your memory Prozac, but I could've sworn Ritchie's was low and lacking pace, not high / wide / over the bar???

How can we build continuity when yet again we're handing out short-term contracts? Surely a season's deal would have made sense?
This short-termist approach is really beginning to piss me off, the running of the club is becoming more and more austere. I'm of little doubt if Corney could make us go part-time he would.....
....could be that a new owner is in the offing?
-
Weren't it Stitch who missed the penalty at Blackburn? In that Terrace behind the goal, was about 6 so I could be wrong.
Good keeper, has he coached bedore?
Think we missed a penalty more than once at Ewood Park. Marshall was straight down the middle, Ritchie (uncharacteristically) powder puffed one toward a corner. - I think!?!?
Wiki says Mimms sacked from Ewood end of last year. Not surprising given the shenanegans up there, but a decent coaching CV at both b@stard rovers and Wolves.
-
Two things immidiately spring to mind....
1. It was Bobby Mimms that saved Ian Marshall's penalty at Balckburn. The most obvious, straightest, hardest penalty I've ever seen.
2. Short term deals for both Mimms and Steele suggest a take-over could be possible?
-
It didn't sound as tho he was close a couple of weeks ago. I fear we might begin the season without one. Maybe that will change if F365 are accurate...
"....Roma have become the second Italian side to join the chase with Inter Milan for Manchester City's Micah Richards...."

The wholly inaccurate and unreliable rumour site has Paul Bernard tipped to be LJ's no2. Clearly this is rubbish, but it got me thinking, what ever happened to Paul Bernard? I haven't seen nor heard of him for a long time. He finished his playing career in Ireland I know that much, but that was well over 5 years ago. Does anyone know what he did after that?
-
Ian Evatt was playing in the Premier League 2 years ago. I'd be surprised if it were true, but delighted all the same.

One of my neighbours won something like £2 million on the euromillions, you couldn't buy the club with that.
I think you probably could, but you wouldn't be able to fund it afterwards.
£157m this last week would've done it. What's Koukash's wealth? He's not in the times rich list, so it's sub £100m, £50m maybe?
Steve Gibson (Middlesbrough chairman) is worth about £100m so that demonstrates the sort of wealth you'd need.

Id be happy for them to keep the land aslong as i get a fixed 99 year lease
Agreed, however I fear they'll want a much shorter lease with the option to put the rent up, or do what I've always suspected was their main reason for taking us out of administration in the first place, build a load of homes on the land.

Waiting onMicah
....and a fair point, well made. They can't be ignoring this either....!

I'd love to know the reasons why it's unlikely - the club is on its arse, he has cash on the hip to move us forward do why does Uncle Simon not think it would be in the best interests of the club?
As Barry stated when the Vaughan rumour began, why sell now before the new stand in built and revenues increase. As a saleable asset, it'll be worth more after that. Why not hang on, maximise your value, while securing the rent they want for BP? They're businessmen, they want a return. I don't doubt Simon wants well for the club, but not at the expense of his, nor Gazal / Blitz's bank balance.
I often wonder whether a prospective new owner would also want the land? If I won Euromillions, I can assure I would. I wouldn't want to be at the mercy of 3 capitalist businessmen would could my rent up regularly / kick me out of my home to redevelop the land at the drop of a hat.

According to Mike Keegan, there's an update on Koukash into today's advertiser?

Year before mate, March '90 3-0 up before clinging on
25 secs inWow, years since I've seen that footage. Jobson scoring for them I don't remember. Moulden signed to replace Palmer also not my recollection. We were a great side then tho eh? Maybe one day we'll be able to enjoy that again. I keep the faith.

Former Villa keeper on loan at Hull during the Championship season had an absolute worldy at BP he was awesome and a big reason why we went down to our only home defeat that season that night in March '91
Hull went down that year too. I can remember their fans giving Jobson loads of stick for having left them.
There was a game v Hull where Andy Payton swallows his tongue and I think Ian Marshall ha to help him. Not sure it was the same game, but very vivid memories!
