3 points currently separating 5th and 11th. It's tight but this is the time in the season to start racking up the Wins if we can get to.the top of that mini league then perhaps we can set our sights on Barnet and Bromley in 2nd and 3rd Chesterfield won't be caught unless they implode.
Remember we only have to show form as good as this time last year between 1st Jan 23 to Apr 23 to get ourselves high up in the play offs That will ensure we get atleast 1 home fixture on the play offs.
So, bringing back Unnsy it is then

A brilliant post-match interview from MM. Proud of the performance but gives the players the credit. Clear lines about the suspensions without detracting from the performance. Also outlines succinctly the culture of the football club and shows he understands the fanbase. A masterclass.
Agreed

Being serious here.
With the exception of our 3-2 over Liverpool, no one has passed the ball around with so much ease and accuracy as these guys.
Every single player is comfortable with the ball and invariably, no pass is ever wasted. No one panics in possession.
They know where their team mates are going to run and therefore put the ball there.

Matt Longstaff ex Newcastle is a free agent!
Only 23 and looking for a new start after some bad injuries.
Would be worth a pay as you play punt in midfield....
Scored a cracker on his debute v Man Utd!!
Played on loan at Mansfield land Colchester last I think but did his knee last Christmas
He was a very promising young player. The worry would be he's never fully recovered.

Mellon seems to have found a settled side I wonder how much he trusts those not currently involved.
This lot will come and play like their lives depend on it but I still expect a convincing victory.
I hope you're right but I'm not sure recent home form gives me any evidence to be that hopeful .

I remember thinking just before half time, we'd played really well but had nothing to show for it and these will come out second half and take the game away from us. And then we scored!!

4 happy bunnies on our way home
A couple of dodgy moments in the first half but a thoroughly deserved win. Norwood played a blinder again and his partnership with Fondop starting to bare fruits.
Great support as usual and the players showed their appreciation at the end.Hopefully no detour on the way home like on the way down when the M1 was closed for hours due to a bad crash.
Glad you had a great night. Safe journey home.

I could write reams about tonight, but the key for me was the substitution of Freeman and the change to 3 at the back. Kanu scared the hell out of us before that and didn't get a kick afterwards. We have a manager who knows what he's doing, shock.
Finally I know it won't be popular with many but Green was terrific tonight in 2 different roles.

Nice to see one of our former players doing well. Wasn't part of the managers plans towards the end and good to see the player can do a job for someone else.
Still seems strange seeing Oldham in non-league. Well done on tonight, a big win and get yourselves back into the football league soon as you can. Do I have permission to start a one-off topic relating your club ?
We've won 4-1 away. You can start a topic about Ed Sheeran B sides if you wish.

Posted earlier that I would stick with the same eleven that finished the game on Saturday. The only change I could envisage is bringing Hogan in at the back moving McGahey to midfield and leaving Green on the bench.
I read that as the same XI that started on Saturday and thought , yes, novel. Especially if we can get away with it.

Those results last night weren't too bad, especially with Fylde grabbing a late equaliser. Offers a big incentive for us to move within two points of a congested pack with an easy home match at the weekend to come. It's opportunities like this which is in our DNA to fluff completely, but taking advantage of the situation will demonstrate continued progress.
It's a tough game tonight. Big test of their mettle especially as we now seem to be accumulating injuries.

I can't believe the disrespect Micklover are getting on Twitter. They're playing really well at the moment. How many times have I seen US beat better opposition Everton,Aston Villa,Southampton,West Ham are just a few that come to mind.We should win this but please respect the oppo.I trust M.M and should be a good game.Wembely,Wembely oh were all pissed up and were going to Wembeley hopefully.
I didn't think I wasn't respecting them. However they are 2 divisions below us.

Q. You injured Mike?
A. Injured enough not to be travelling to Torquay on NYE.
