  1. I'd be surprised if we are not after a recognised right back, but I think we have sufficient resources to fill in for a few games - Sutton, Shelton- without weakening the positions they play in, which means we don't have to push the boat out cash wise. And if we can't find one we want at a price we like I would have thought young right backs available on loan from the EFL are ten a penny. Not that we need ten, that would be silly.

excellent. l think Rhino said all four of them will be going out on loan whilst still training with our first team.

Agreed.  I watch a lot of NPL and it's a reasonable standard and a first taste of men's football for some of these youngsters. I've seen some loanees from the Championship. Workington are an organised club with a promising manager who were promoted last year. I look forward to seeing him play.

For me the question is: “Will there be six teams in the league better than us?”

An impossible question to answer at this early stage.

So it’s all conjecture really but I would expect Chesterfield, Bromley and possibly Hartlepool, Ebbsfleet, Fylde etc to be up there with us  - in Unsworn we trust 👍

I would have said Solihull as well before their manager left. They had made some really good signings already.

I've been one of his biggest critics but even I can see what he's trying to do, I honestly think we will be up there from the start this season, absolutely no reason why we shouldn't, not saying it's going to be pretty but we have a real strong squad.

Agreed.  His starting line up is almost certainly going to have at least 5 new players.  They will need time to settle.

Hit 3000 for next season today. Early bird finishes tomorrow, so don’t expect loads more unless they extend it.
Be interesting to see comparisons to last seasons numbers. Heard 2700 and also 4000+ for last season, so quite a big gap in numbers reported.

I'm slightly surprised at that and thought it might be more but I suppose some existing season ticket holders are yet to renew. I wonder how many sold are full price. I've talked to people who don't intend to go every week so have bought a kids ticket so they can go, pay full price on the day but have a guaranteed seat. I turn 65 this year so have got a pensioners ticket for £175 which compares very favourably with the offer from other NL clubs.

Mmmmmm. I take it from that, we aren’t prepared to pay anyone off who hasn’t featured.

    Burgess

    Windass

    Luetwiller

    Magehy

If the four in negotiations all sign as well that gives us a squad of 22. Which means bar maybe 2/3 signings, he’s largely going with what we’ve got this season to push for promotion next year.

    Big call. .

My thoughts exactly.  I thought we would be left with 17 not 22. Luamba Hope and McGahey I expected to leave. I think we need 3 additions minimum. He needs to get rid of a few. Burgess McGahey Windass and maybe 2 others.

It was a game with nothing riding on it and a chance to right the wrongs of the previous ownership so Clarke could get a proper send off.

    No complaints with it here

Completely agreed with bringing him on. But play him centre half, Sutton to right back Shelton in midfield.  Simple. Manager threw the game away.
