As well as Foster and Waters Wrexham have signed Malik Dijksteel today from Whitby. Brother of Middlesbroughs Anfernee. I've seen him many times over the past 2 years and he's incredibly skillfull. Technically outstanding. However also one of those who sometimes you see him and you've forgotten he's on the pitch. Surprised Wrexham have gone for him. Good luck Malik lad. WAWAW!

Junior Morias gone from the Dags to Notts County.
Good news for us, come Saturday? It means they will be able to bring 3 or 4 more players into the dressing room

Stretching the subject matter a bit but South Shields v FCUM tonight in the NPL premier. Attendance 2500. Shields are full time and romping this league- 2 below us. Mind you they were romping it last year and cocked it up on the last day. Darius Osei scoring regularly for them.

He played against us on the Tuesday at BP, got sent off the following Saturday at Southend and then missed Gateshead v Oldham at Gateshead through suspension...
I totally misread that then. Thought id checked and he had played against us in the defeat. Got that one wrong.

Not for a professional foul, only for violent conduct (no idea what that red was for)
'Gateshead's Aaron Martin was sent off in the 34th minute for shoving Gus Scott-Morriss to the floor as the visitors slipped to a defeat which leaves them in the relegation zone.'

The one point deduction is for one point gained for a drawn game. They could have been deducted more points but weren't.
That was how I read it. However Martin was given a straight red when they played Southend and played against us the following game ( the defeat) when I would have thought he should have been suspended.

Gateshead docked a point for playing an ineligible player.

I didn't know that Kevin Maher was at Southend or the state they appear to be in.

Yarney has been excellent since we signed him, I was all for putting him at RB to get Clarke back in, but no chance, he’s been our best centre half every game i’ve seen.
Agreed and Sutton has done all that could be asked of him at full back.

Wonder if Askey would go back.

Signed for Altrincham...
Seen him twice this year and not particularly impressed me but what do i know. Scored in both games one a penalty. The winger I've mentioned before on here was the best player on the park but seems to be working his way down the leagues.

Premiership clubs do loan players to non league clubs..
Wellens? Have I missed something?

Well he is obviously going somewhere and I wouldn't be surprised if it was here. Gave me 2 of my most memorable 'fan's moments. The pie at Fleetwood and kissing the ref v Peterborough.

Went to see Mossley beat Hanley Town 2-1. Edwards didn't do a lot but showed a decent first touch and some nice passes one of which made the first goal. He played up front but isn't the biggest and got knocked about a bit. Subbed after 70. Mason Fawns also played and looked good. Best player was left winger Jack Bannister. 26 and not played above this level previously. Ryan Shotton ex Middlesbrough and Derby player/manager for Hanley.

Might go and watch Mossley this afternoon. Does anyone know if Joe Edwards is still on loan there?

One thing that stood out for me was that we mainly managed to retain the ball from our own throw ins which has not been the case previously. We even used them as platforms for attacks. Shelton continually made himself available to the thrower who often had one and sometimes two other options. Out of small acorns....

And the 2 games we didn't win were against the league leaders...

A bloody big improvement on the Gateshead game. Shelton was terrific in midfield MoM for me. Yarney impressive. He and Hogan looked better than Hogan and Clarke for me. Chapman looked like he'd played football before which I hadn't thought in previous performances. The midfield balance was better. The 2 caveats were we scored from 2 horrendous mistakes and my York supporting mate thought they were poor. Still be thankful for small mercies. Aldershot away and then 4 home games.

That surprises me. They have 2 of the leading scorers in that league in Hazell and Beck and score a lot of goals
