  1. Yes but that's not what you said before you edited your post and his cup record makes his total record look better. FWIW Philliskirk has 2 league goals in 18 league appearances.

I was talking of league matches.

Its the league that counts IMO!

Besides, all of these "good luck Adam, he is a nice lad and was just unlucky" posts don't wash with me.

He was on a big wage and promised to do so much......yet he was less than :censored:e!

  2. Points out that Rooney has scored 7 or 8 in 33 appearances (the club say 8, soccerbase says 7), and wonders if the league scoring rate of other players should be questioned too?

FWIW I think there is a good forward in Rooney, and he could well turn out to be a good "buy" for Aberdeen, but he was obviously on a good wage and wasn't really value for money, considering he is probably our 4th choice striker, and 2nd and 3rd choice strikers might not be earning 50% of his wages. I can see us getting a new striker in as his replacement and can see us not having to pay that new striker what we were paying Rooney.

You can point out what you like, but he has still scored 4 league goals in 24 appearances.

  3.

Im gonna plump for whoever the new striker is. I cant wait until he signs, scores 1 penalty in 4 games and gets booed out of the club.

You make it sound like he has only had 4 matches to impress.

He scored 4 league goals in 24 appearances and was lucky to get that many.

  4. If you look at the number of players bought, then for me SC has backed each of his manager.

LJ is a long way off going yet, but if this continues as long as it did with PD then there will be no choice(I am hopeful it won't as LJ changes things whereas PD never did) but if it stays the same that will be 2 rookies it did not work with so a proven guy would be the next choice.

We have to sell to survive, but hopefully the new stand should give us that bit extra we need.

It's nowt to do with the amount of players brought in IMO singe. More to do with how much we can pay them........ If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys.

  5. Really? I thought there were flashes but he was anonymous in the second half.

Certainly not consistently in the game over the 70 or so minutes he played.

He's still settling in, so I won't right him off, especially when he went up to JCH after he skied one in the first half, perhaps a captain figure in disguise?

    Wow........no really, wow.

My guess is you don't go very often? He took a standing ovation from 99% of the ground today. My guess is you were one of the 1%?

Not the most gifted player, but he ran his bollocks off and when he could do no more, was honest enough to admit he needed subbing.

  6. he'll start proving those who slag him off from the stands constantly wrong - he's been improving week on week, today's game is testament to that

Let's not over exaggerate it shall we? "Those slagging him off from the stands" is wide of the mark.

A few have questioned his ability on here. No complaints from me today, I thought he played tremendous.
