  1. 2 games left in the Football League. Who do we want to come down, stay in L1 and come up from L2?

    For me:

    Championship:

    Up - Bournemouth, Middlesbrough, Norwich.

Down - Blackpool, Wigan and Rotherham down.

    League 1:

Up - Bristol C, PNE, MK.

Down - Crawley, Orient, Colchester, Yeovil.

    League 2:

Up - Burton, Shrews, Bury and Plymouth (Bury unlikely to get automatic though, so I'd prefer them through the play-offs over Plymouth).

Down - Want Tranmere to stay up, never liked them but not to the extent of relegation out of the football league.

    Anyone else?

  2. They could have given Chaddy End ST holders first dibs on other stands, but apart from that, it's the right decision.

I was debating whether to go to the Peterborough game, but I'll definitely make the effort for the last game in the Chaddy. The club and/or fans should try and fill it for one last time, probably get a few more in if you reduce prices slightly and get as many Latics in as possible.

EDIT: Just seen the 'Chaddy End Party Time' Thread.

  3. Two :censored: teams, and they were slightly better at being :censored: than we were. Only Jones came out of it with credit for me. When the best football of the afternoon is by the disabled kids at half time you know what kind of game it's been.

Watch us go and get a result against Bristol City now.

  4. I think partly where we have fallen behind is in loan signings.

Since the best player to play at the club this season - Daniel Johnson - left, the teams around us have been very impressive in the loan and frees market in January. Barnsley have got George Waring and Ben Pearson, Doncaster got Ikpeazu and Butler, Dale got Brandy, Chesterfield got Duffy and Lavery.

Although it was an achievement of sorts to keep our first 11 we haven't actually improved on them much, with Murphy failing to make an impact, and now we've got quite a lot of injuries and a small-ish squad it's catching up with us.

I agree, but by all accounts Brandy has been :censored: for Dale so far.

  5. I would have mellor over dieng any day

Really? Dieng's only in his first season of English football and Mellor's been fairly consistent in being bang average.

Dieng had a really promising spell in November against Sheff U and Rochdale I thought and hasn't had a run in the side since Elokobi returned. Mellor had a promising spell 3 or 4 years back and hasn't taken any of his chances since. He'll be gone as soon as the new stand is finished.

  6.

"Would you like to see a supporters bar at the ground?"

What does "supporters bar" mean? What is it/would it be?

I know someone answered this once before but I can't find the thread and I've forgotten

Interesting question about who it should be open to. Must mean they're thinking about restricting who's in there.

  7. Don't get the obsession with Dowie. He might have been good 10 years ago, but he's not been too successful since, and not actually managed for a few years. Wouldn't be long term, wouldn't be worth the money.

Just seen a few retweets on Twitter from Plymouth fans that Sheridan wasn't there today for training or media stuff. 2 + 2 = 5?

  8. Weird game, everyone in the ground knew it would end up like it did, players included. Always going to be a heavy win for them, especially with 6 players out injured and their bench compared to ours.

Get the injured players back, get a new manager in, and I still think we've got a good chance of finishing top ten. Put that game as a one-off and we'll be better off.

Also, fair play to the fans in the Chaddy, made a fair bit of noise when there was nothing to shout about.
