    True we do have John Barnes as manager, well done. And i am not trying to take the piss it wa meant to be a lighthearted joke, but obviously you guys don't have much of a sense of humour lately as your team's not doing very well.

    Barnes dosen't have a clue. First game of next season... Oldham vs Tranmere in league 2.

    Oldham certainly have a better and more options in defence than Tranmere. Ian goodison still hasn't returned from Jamaica for pre season, we have one left back, an 18 year old as our only reliable centre defender at the club at the moment and we have a right back on loan. For friendlies Gareth Edds has played who is a midfielder. Just be aware that you are lucky that you have a defence!

    Is he any good? I never seen him playing for Oldham so i am not sure wether he is going to be a loss or not?

    Oldham will NOT finish above Tranmere next season.

    Yes ive heard that alot on other tranmere boards as well. As soon as Barnes arrived Allot was forgotten about and didnt play in any friendly's.

    I don't think he has started a friendly yet but he has come on as a sub against Preston and Southport. But in all honesty i think he will have to settle for a place on the bench next season.

    Barnes is doing alright. Slowly re-building a team as we have lost alot of our better players from last season. I am still not sure about his managerial qualities but we will just have to wait and see.

    Says a supporter of a club who are excited about getting an ex average league 2 team manager. You are really excited about getting a new 12,000 seater stadium. OOHH wow the ambition there seems huge.

    It's just a shame you didnt have a chance to get to the playoffs on the last day of the season isn't it?

    HMM thats ironic. I remember last season when Tranmere beat Oldham 2-0 at Boundary park... oh yeah that video shows that, there was about ten people who were walking out early getting some abuse off the tranmere fans. About 6 of them unzipped their jackets and kissed a Manchester United badge underneath.
