  1. I always thought our tickets were a bit too steep, but this really puts it into perspective, but i'm still calling for a £10 standing section in the new ground.
  2. True but it would hardly be inspiring, lots of non descript English teams of the like's of Hereford, Wycome and Hartlepool.... The only teams that would get the chance to visit.
  3. Will you ever will you ever will you ever find a seat will you ever find a seat....
  4. We seem to have alot of them in the youth/reserve team these days, are they any good or are they just Liverpool cast off's?
  5. Mate i'm only trying to put some ideas out there, instead of writing Bulls**t why not actually offer some form of positive criticism or even better an idea as to were the new ground could be built.
  6. "keyboard calls for unity asking a decreasing number of us regular home goers" What people like me, I have had a season ticket since the days of Graham Sharp and spent countless amounts of money going to away games too. All I am saying is why cant we go into home games the way the team is supported at away games, then maybe we would have won a few more home games in the past 6 months. This season is a fresh start, new management and a new team they should at least deserve a chance to prove themselves and considering that we are a mid table team at best this season, I don't think the start has been to bad.
  7. Back to the subject of the ground, What about coal pit lane (I have no idea were this is but people keep mentioning it) also I have herd Alexandra retail park mentioned. I think this is an excellent site, Matalan and the other shop can easily be moved into the spindles which is half empty anyway, leaving bags of room for development. It would be directly in the center of town which means real Oldhamers can use the proposed facilities that are to be built benefiting the whole community not just the plastic mancs on the outskirts. Also this site would have excellent road access with the bypass, while the train/metro line runs directly along the side of the site and would bring much needed development to this part of town and lets face it Oldham town center needs just as much if not more regeneration as Failsworth.
  8. I'm not against a move, just concerned about a move to failsworth!
  9. Why isn't there a picture of the blue plaque depicting the story of the first fried chip? Surely Oldham's greatest ever addition to modern world history...
  10. Is it just me or is any one else sick of the moaners an groaners that congregate around our club, maybe if people actually remembered the true meaning of the word "supporter" we might start to see glimpses of improvements from the team. Its only a few games in, and I don't really consider it to be a very bad start, I didn't really have high expectations for this season anyway, this is the season in which a new team and new management need time to gel, and they need our support and encouragement through thick and thin. So come on people lets try an do something about the situation its been going on for to many years now and gradually seems to get worse season on season.
  11. I don't really no how big 30acres is, but what about clayton playing fields, surely you could squeeze a ground on there with extra pitches joined on???
  12. Ha ha, that would be a good one, if only it were to come true. Think I may ask DP for a trial, Im faster that Gregan an Hazel thats for sure.
  13. -Standing section charging £10. And that can easily be turned into seating on promotion to premiership/championship -smoking section around back of stand, clearly marked "smoking area" so that even the thickest of none smokers can know were not to go -Maybe have images of glorious moments/heroes from boundary park placed in certain areas of the new stadium -more leg room in the seating area, im 6"5 and BP is awful to sit in.
